EID informed us of a major leak. We had two plumbers and a different leak detection service come to our property and none were able to find the general area of the leak. They told us to run a new water main to the house! We called ALD next. Paul was the technician and he was excited about the challenge. Paul asked more questions and did more up front investigative work than the others. Within the hour he found the general area of the leak. We had to call an excavator since the main was buried ~ 4' and hand digging was not efficient. Paul was spot on in pinpointing where the leak was. We are grateful he found the leak, which was an easy fix, versus having to run a new water main to the house.

American Leak Detection did a great job of finding and fixing a pool-plumbing leak under our patio. The concrete patch is as good a match as you can get. They sent a real pro, Ivan, who did the diagnosis, and came back and fixed the leak. I will use them again, no doubt.
I called a couple other companies first, based on a referral, but those companies asked me all kinds of questions about the pool, like I am the expert, not them. They both sounded scared of the situation. Not, American, they scheduled the expert, he found it, he estimated the work, and he fixed it all on-time, as scheduled. Wish I had called them first.

Discovered a significant water leak near the main water valve streaming like a garden hose left 1/2-3/4 on. Plumber came and found it was somewhere under the lawn but would need to dig several holes. This dirt is hard pan, rocky and often full of tree roots which makes digging is such a pleasure *extreme sarcasm*. I used a jack hammer and shovel to dig where I thought it could be...but I was wrong and didn't want to dig anymore.

Plumber suggested American Leak Detectors then they would return to repair it.
Paul from ALD came out the next day, analyzed what was leaking and where, then probed for the leak. He determined the leak to be under the landscape flag he placed or within a 3x3 square. His guess would be a cracked 45 degree connection between 2 pipe segments
He was SPOT ON! However there were 2 leaks which explained why he had to zero in several times and it was a cracked connector!

Paul saved me or the plumber from digging several 21"" deep holes. Money well spent.

He located a leak in our pool through a combo of dye, pressure, and ultrasonic testing (I think that's what it's called...). My pool was leaking 1/4"" an hour. After getting a pretty outrageous quote from a competitor, I contacted American Leak Detection. To begin, Elizabeth and the other women I dealt with on the phone for scheduling throughout the process were polite and professional. My pool has a fairly complicated plumbing system, which made this leak all the more difficult to find. The technician, Ivan, was persistent at sticking with it until--after three visits--with the combined expertise of fellow tech, Paul, they were able to locate the leak. Luckily for me, it was in an unused line deep within the pool deck that the builder had installed for a potential future solar heating system. We just had to plug the line and all is now good. While I hope I don't need these guys ever again, I wouldn't hesitate to call if another problem came up.

As an insurance adjuster getting an accurate leak detection is critical for claims. My last leak report went over several areas I was concerned with. ALD was able to locate the trouble area and rule out the other areas of concern.

We had a leak in our pool and we didn't know who to call. We were referred to American Leak Detection. I selected ""Request a Quote"" on Yelp and I was contacted immediately. We were able to get an appointment right away. Paul Upton was our technician and he was awesome. He found a crack in one of the steps in our pool. He gave me his cell phone number so I could let him how much water we were losing on a daily basis so he could determine how bad the leak was. This was over and above what he needed to do. I really appreciate Paul's knowledge and great customer service!!
