I have an outdoor landscape water issue. To date, I've had several remediation employees, plumbers and others on the job. Your employee, Nicki, was exceptional. She immediately started finding leaks that no one else could discover. She was professional and very knowledgeable. I was very impressed. Thank you.

This company is amazing! We detected a leak on the side of our house where the water valve is. They came out and started digging! They determined where the leak was and got it fixed. Justin was really great at finding the source of the problem. The owner, Joanne Crawford, was shovelling mud and rock too. She says she is not a plumber but she was the expert! I was amazed at her committment! I highly recommend them!

Richard and his team (his daughter) were great! It was nice to have a more ""scientific"" approach to finding the leak, e.g. they used the inert gas helium to pressurize the system and a helium detector to hone in on the specific area with the problem vs. cutting open all of the walls and spraying with a soapy solution as had been used/recommended by the others who diagnosed/quoted the job. They found the leak within an hour of when they arrived!
Unfortunately, we had two other not very professional plumbing companies come in and used the ""soapy water"" approach using only compressed air to pressurize the system, opened our wall for no reason, tore apart our fireplace, and were no closer to finding the leak than when they started not to mention left a gaping hole in the wall, a huge mess in our living room, and were very expensive for basically achieving nothing. And, they wanted to open more walls and recommended cutting/capping pipe to find the leak; I'm sure this would most likely have been the most expensive approach which worked out well for them, not so well for us. We figured that there had to be a better way.
Richard referred us to Jackrabbit plumbing to complete the repairs. Scott (from Jackrabbit) did use soapy water to confirm the leak, however, didn't have to track the leak that way or cut pipes to isolate the issue as also had been recommended by our initial 2 plumbers diagnosis. I have to wonder why the other plumbers couldn't find the leak (it was a significant leak) with the soapy water as it evidently was easily identified by Scott when he used the soapy water (albeit Richard did identify the leak, regardless, Scott indicated it was very visible even with soap and water!?). We have a slab floor, so all of our pipes are in the attic with drops to each area requiring service, e.g. kitchen stove, dryer, etc. The leak was in the 90 directly above the dryer which should have been one of the first places it could have been found fairly easily

I've tried to get American Leak Detection to my house for 2 separate under-slab water leaks; once in April, 2012 and again last week (Nov. 1, 2013). Each time I spoke with their office worker who told me they would call me back ""today"". I'm still waiting for the call back from April, 2012!!!!!!!
They may be okay in other parts of the country but the Northern Nevada office is terrible. Don't waste your time.

Ive been trying to call american leak detection for three days. I've left 4 messages with . they must not want my business. I'm a plumbing contractor in Reno. I will not try to use their service again. dont waste your time
