First I'd like to say the guys fixed my leak and were great professionals.
The job was $450 for leak detection. It was $2300 to repair. The water leak was stopped.
After they left my water feature on my fridge did not work. To come back would be $850. My plumber would do it for $400. My fridge had water and ice before and now it doesn't because they did not hook it back up.
Then my water heater malfunctioned. I called my plumber. He indicated when repairs were made water heater was moved to far and severed electrical wires to scorch and flip breaker, thank goodness or there would have been a fire. This repair was $137.
I do not recommend this company to complete their work or fix problems they created during repairs.

If I could give zero stars I would. Our property management company required us to use them when we noticed a leak. The technicians were friendly but couldn't locate the leak - they cut out the wall, then asked for more of the drywall to be cut out and they would return at no charge to try and get to the root of the problem. We had the drywall guy come out and cut out the wall and we never could get anyone to return our calls to come back out. The only response w ever got was the $600 bill. Absolute HORRIBLE business practice. Do not recommend.

We discovered our water pipe was leaking somewhere underground in our front yard. After turning off the line in the house and at the street our meter continued to run at the rate of 1 gallon/ 45 seconds!!! Our plumber couldn't find the source readily and highly recommended American Leak Detectors. He assured us that his company had had several bad experiences with other companies who claimed they could find the leak, but now they always referred their clients to ALD because they were so successful at finding the leak. We had an excellent experience from start to finish with ALD. Not only did they come out quickly and find the leak, but we decided to hire them also to make the repair. Their customer service was excellent and their work was very professional. I love my plumber, but he didn't have the heavy machinery needed to dig through the rock in our yard. ALS is prepared to do the job and saved us so much money and time by prioritizing our situation. I am so appreciative that they worked us in their schedule and gave us an honest, fair price the job.

Enjoyed the visit with the technician, but unfortunately, he was unable to locate the leak or determine the problem. I checked to see if they might reduce the $400 charge for the visit, but was told it had already been discounted. I don't feel I received a very good deal for the money I was charged.
I would suggest checking with other companies before choosing this company to see if they all have a minimum charge. There should be some accountability for a failed service.

Everything started well. Appointed set up was easy, technician showed on time and was very professional. Unfortunately for me he wasn't able to locate any leak. Explanation was thorough and I moved on to find some solution before we have to replace entire service line. Different contractors suggested to go back and ask for some other technique locating water leak. My phone experience with office Manager was very unpleasant. I wasn't able to finnish any question, was interrupted and force to listen answers for questions I didn't asked or have opportunity to ask. Customer service poor, but appointed schedule and leak location service excellent.
