I told them i thought there was a leak caused by an exterior plumbing repair. They never checked the repair, but looked all over inside the house and didn't find the leak. They told me my slab was cracked, i needed to pull up the floors and get an engineering company to find it. I told my neighbor to take a pic the the repair and sure enough there was a obvious leak. After haggling, they gave me a partial refund, tho they are convinced they did a """"good"""" job. They are probably too dependent on high-tech tools to use their eyes and common sense or listen to the home owner. Photo is of the leak they could not find.

Paul was awesome and Diana at the office is great, as well! Paul came out and spent 2 hours investigating our leak. He said that it was too small to detect and is leaking very little. They didn't charge us for the visit and gave us great peace of mind. The plumber would have charged us around $100 to come out to the house.

I hired this company to detect and uncover a leak in my bathroom. I was told by phone and read on their website that is what they do. The technician came the Friday before Memorial Day weekend. After 2 hours and drilling a hole in my bathroom floor he said he would not be able to uncover the leak because my vanity was in the way. I said I would remove the vanity and at first he said he would help me. After 10 minutes he said he was not allowed to do that and he had to go. He charged me $425.00. The company website says nothing about moving vanities or other items. I was not told of this until it became an issue. When my plumber came he said he had never seen a job like this before. He said normally they uncover the leak and he fixes it. He said usually this company does good work but this was ridiculous. I had to pay him $1000.00 to uncover the leak, it was 2 feet from where American had drilled a hole, repair the leak and fix the floor. I called American Leak and even sent them pictures I had taken as the job progressed. They said they would look at the pictures, speak with their technician and get back to me. After 2 days and no call I called again. They refused to refund any of my money and said it was not their responsibility to move the vanity. I asked to speak to the franchise owner. I have called back 3 or 4 times and am being told the owner will call me..It has been 2 weeks and still no call. I assume they just do not care about their own customers.

Before we had American Leak Detection come out we had another leak detection company check for a leak, but they couldn't find. The guys from American Leak Detection were awesome. They answered every question and were super relatable and funny. Best of all, they were upfront and no BS about everything. They only had to remove 1 tile to get to the burst pipe, which was great! I would highly recommend this company to anyone.

Call a plumber instead. They will charge you $395.00 just to come out and do nothing for you. We thought we had a leak, they came out, looked at the meter and said no leak, that will be $395. My husband insisted on them finding the water cause and they looked behind the fridge and realized it was a water line leaking, they couldn't even help him fix it, he had to do it himself. Did I mention $395.00!!!!

this company came to my house for a pool leak and after three visits never fixed leak. said it was in the skimmer and he fixed it, Not still leaked. Charged 345.00 and after thirty days and still wasn't fixed this company wanted another 345.00 to come back out. I called aquatic leak detection and leak was in vacuum line where vacuum hooks up to on side wall and first try fixed. I turned American leak detection into the BBB and was never resolved and out 345.00. Think twice before using this company American leak detection.
