Our water billed had doubled and it was suggested that we call American Leak Detection to help with locating our leak. Aaron and Ramiro came out today and found three different problems. They were professional and helped us identify the leaks in a timely manner.

Auggie came to my home on two separate visits to determine the source of a leak that was causing a growing eruption on the living room ceiling. He knew exactly what he was doing and was extremely efficient and very clear in explaining what he was doing. We were impressed with his technical knowledge and his people skills, and felt confident that we were in good hands. I would use American leak Detection again for sure (but hope I don't have to!).

We had a leak in out old pool system. My pool guy recommended American Leak Detection who came out and found the leak. They were hired to replace the skimmer and the leaking line and were not cheap - $3500 for a day's work for two guys and a couple of hundred at most in materials. But I have an old pool and somewhere long before we bought the house, the bottom drain had been removed leaving the skimmer as the only inlet to the pump. The difficulty is that should the water fall below the skimmer, the pump dries and and burns up and destroys itself. For safety an equalizer was installed, this is simply a piece of 2"" PVC pipe that goes into the skimmer chamber about a foot below the skimmer level. This gives about a 1 foot safety margin in the pool level that once saved my butt when an old pool guy left the pool siphoning too long and drew the level below the skimmer.

My problem is that when American Leak Detection replaced the skimmer, they removed the equalizer thus removing this necessary safety feature. When I pointed this out they said that putting it in would cost another $3500.

Bullshit. It would have entailed about one foot of 2"" PVC punched into the plastic skimmer housing - $2 of parts and ten minutes of work as the hole was already there so that the pipe just needed to be threaded through. I guess life will be OK as long as no other mistake lets the pool level fall. But they removed what I consider to be an essential safety feature without clearing it with me ahead of time.

I have used American Leak Detection on 2 occasions. The first time was great. This past experience not so great. We are purchasing a house and the inspection was in a week. We had a leak in the kitchen under the slab. The following photos show the mess were left with , 4 days till our appraisal. Broken tile, hole in the sink cabinet bottom and hole in the wall under the sink. The leak was fixed and they just walked away. I spent the past few nights after work trying to find matching. Nothing close. Of course insurance didn't cover the $1700 repair plus paying somebody else to fix their great leak detecting. Thank you American Leak Detection! Never again.

5 stars is an understatement. I have used American Leak Detection twice and this second encounter was just as great as the first. Chris came to our house and helped put our mind at ease with an issue we have had on going. His experience, kindness and professionalism was 5 stars. They are honest reliable and helpful beyond words. Melissa on the phone is wonderful as well. Helpful experienced people with no sales pressure what so ever. They do the job needed. I will be using them again if ever we need anything involving leaks or drain lines. I can't speak highly enough.

A few years ago I had a leak and I called them and they found the leak right away I called them back again because noticed I am losing water they send 2 guys out and they can't figure out what is the problem so they come back out today now these are two other different guys and these guys find the problem and said I have a crack on my pebble why couldn't they tell me this last week the first time they came out what a scam they charge 550 I honestly don't think they should be charging that much it's not my fault the first technicians could not find the problem just a scam to get more money out of you. Do not call them they were not good and just make an excuse to come out the 2nd time to charge you more

We had a leak under our tile and concrete slab in our pantry. Our plumber recommended American Leak Detection to help determine where the leak was coming from so that we didn't have to tear up our entire floor and concrete slab to search for it. After their visit, and $375, our plumber came back to fix the pipes. He was stunned to find a few tape ""X""s which were no help to him at all. Our plumber was very disappointed as well, in the lack of detection.

After noticing a small leak on my carpet I called a leak detection company and they insisted that my leak was from my sewer pipe under the concrete slab. They were going to jackhammer my slab to get to the alleged leak. They quoted me $4,000.00 to do the repair! Thankfully I called American Leak Detection. Manuel came out to my home and found that my leak was from my shower valve and not from the sewer pipe in the slab. The men wore masks and boot covers. My leak was detected and repaired at a total cost of only $425.00! They did a great job of clean up! I have been in property management for over 40 years so it takes a lot to impress me. I would not hesitate to use them again and I highly recommend them! 5 STARS!!
