With customer service being so poor these days, it's imperative to share when one has an amazing experience... And I just did with American Leak Detection. After 2 weeks of a local plumber failing to find a leak somewhere in my house that was not visible but leaking over 30 gallons an hour, I contacted ALD. From the first conversation with Belli to Greg coming out on a day off to fix it, my experience was exceptional. Professional communication, great follow-up and ultimately a pipe fixed under the foundation below a finished basement... In a single day withthin the projected cost estimate. I can't be happier with how I was treated and can't recommend this company any higher.

We realized we potentially had a hot water leak under the slab when our gas and water bill were through the roof. We called a few plumbers who recommended American Leak Detection to help us locate the leak. John came and assessed the situation, found the leak, and we scheduled for a repair. Max came to fix the leak and was prompt, professional, and very accommodating with my requests (e.g. covering up appliances, sawing the slab and then jackhammering, etc). This was not an easy job and along the way, Max kept me up to date and provided me options and suggestions when decisions had to be made. Max worked two full days to find and fix the issue which ended up being TWO leaks under the water heater. He repaired everything, went above and beyond in making sure there were no more leaks, and replaced some pipes on the water heater. There were a few hurdles along the way but Max and his boss took very good care of us. Truly great customer service. Thank you!

I called 3 other plumbers in the neighborhood thinking that my leak would be an easy fix, but just like their company name states, they detect leaks, which is their specialty. Not all plumbers are equipped in doing so. Don't waste your time, call them immediately and get an appointment. They are busy, but I was lucky enough to get someone out for an estimate and fixed by the next day.

Also, call the water dept. and your home owner's insurance, to help pay for part of your water bill/cost of repair.

Don't use any other plumbing service. When you have a leak, panic sets in and you want work done immediately. It might take a day or two to get an appointment with ADL. Shut off your water. Go to a hotel. Relax. These folks are the most honest plumbers out there. We had a complex job with a leak under a slab. The leak was hard to find and the work ended up taking a whole extra day but they stood by their quote and got the job done right. Unfortunately there are plenty of plumbers who want to take advantage of you when you are in a panic. Don't fall prey. Go with a business with a solid reputation.

Once again, American Leak Detection came to our rescue! Again, the roots from the trees in front of our house broke a pipe... which also happened exactly one year ago as well! I called ALD, spoke with Paul, set up appointment for Thursday (tomorrow) BUT they were able to fit us in this morning thank goodness (our water bill is going to be atrocious!). John S. came promptly at 7:30, as scheduled, detected where the break was. He proceeded to dig, locate the broken pipe, cut the huge root that broke the pipe, and then did the repairs needed. After repairs were done, he put back the lawn that had to be cut, cleaned up any messes, turned the water back on and, tah dah, we're back in business!
I can't thank them enough and HIGHLY recommend them!

We are so delighted with the service we received from American Leak Detection. John Stephenson and Ben Andre were wonderful, professional, noninvasive and very skilled. I can't say too many great things about the service. We had a horrible leak in a slab floor that we did not realize existed. John came early and magically found the leak and Ben came shortly afterwards and expertly fixed the leak. Both were so pleasant and fun to have around. Santa Rosa notified us that we were using an inordinate amount of water and that even with the water shut off the meter continued to spin. American Leak Detection came at the appointed time and three hours later they not only had found the leak but repaired it as well. The technicians were skilled and professional and the price was very fair.

I am a pool & spa service business owner & I refer these guys EXCLUSIVELY. Greg & Tom are very proficient in the leak detection & Max was there best repair guy I could've asked for. It was tough, but he persevered & fixed the problem without any undue repairs. Very efficient...TWO THUMBS UP!!

We came home from vacation to a broken water main between our house and water meter. A plumber we contacted suggested American Leak Detection and we decided to give them a call because we have a long driveway and water was bubbling up from a couple of areas. The thought of digging until we found it was not appealing, nor was a house without water. We called American Leak Detection out of San Rafael and they were very responsive and courteous. They were able to come out the next day and flagged an area where they determined the leak was within a few feet. We decided to have them come out and fix it as well. the next morning Max came out and dug until he found the pipe. He replaced the joint that had cracked from the pressure of a tree root. He then retested the line to assure there were no other leaks. Max was very patient and answered our never ending questions. American Leak Detection charges seem a little high but they are a slam dunk for their promptness, courteousness, and diligence in getting the job done. We would highly recommend them!

Truly, that's the bottom line. They took very good care of me, Paul was who I was in contact with, and what a pleasant demeanor he has!
Thank you for being flexible and understanding, though I had to make changes to my appointment.
Very good at follow up and making me feel like I was a top priority.
If I do need to have another leak fixed, I will call them guaranteed.
