Don't use any other plumbing service. When you have a leak, panic sets in and you want work done immediately. It might take a day or two to get an appointment with ADL. Shut off your water. Go to a hotel. Relax. These folks are the most honest plumbers out there. We had a complex job with a leak under a slab. The leak was hard to find and the work ended up taking a whole extra day but they stood by their quote and got the job done right. Unfortunately there are plenty of plumbers who want to take advantage of you when you are in a panic. Don't fall prey. Go with a business with a solid reputation.

Once again, American Leak Detection came to our rescue! Again, the roots from the trees in front of our house broke a pipe... which also happened exactly one year ago as well! I called ALD, spoke with Paul, set up appointment for Thursday (tomorrow) BUT they were able to fit us in this morning thank goodness (our water bill is going to be atrocious!). John S. came promptly at 7:30, as scheduled, detected where the break was. He proceeded to dig, locate the broken pipe, cut the huge root that broke the pipe, and then did the repairs needed. After repairs were done, he put back the lawn that had to be cut, cleaned up any messes, turned the water back on and, tah dah, we're back in business!
I can't thank them enough and HIGHLY recommend them!

We are so delighted with the service we received from American Leak Detection. John Stephenson and Ben Andre were wonderful, professional, noninvasive and very skilled. I can't say too many great things about the service. We had a horrible leak in a slab floor that we did not realize existed. John came early and magically found the leak and Ben came shortly afterwards and expertly fixed the leak. Both were so pleasant and fun to have around. Santa Rosa notified us that we were using an inordinate amount of water and that even with the water shut off the meter continued to spin. American Leak Detection came at the appointed time and three hours later they not only had found the leak but repaired it as well. The technicians were skilled and professional and the price was very fair.

We came home from vacation to a broken water main between our house and water meter. A plumber we contacted suggested American Leak Detection and we decided to give them a call because we have a long driveway and water was bubbling up from a couple of areas. The thought of digging until we found it was not appealing, nor was a house without water. We called American Leak Detection out of San Rafael and they were very responsive and courteous. They were able to come out the next day and flagged an area where they determined the leak was within a few feet. We decided to have them come out and fix it as well. the next morning Max came out and dug until he found the pipe. He replaced the joint that had cracked from the pressure of a tree root. He then retested the line to assure there were no other leaks. Max was very patient and answered our never ending questions. American Leak Detection charges seem a little high but they are a slam dunk for their promptness, courteousness, and diligence in getting the job done. We would highly recommend them!

Truly, that's the bottom line. They took very good care of me, Paul was who I was in contact with, and what a pleasant demeanor he has!
Thank you for being flexible and understanding, though I had to make changes to my appointment.
Very good at follow up and making me feel like I was a top priority.
If I do need to have another leak fixed, I will call them guaranteed.

We had American Leak Detection come out to a new house that we purchased in Fairfield, CA because of a potential leak in the swimming pool. I just want to say what a great group of guys. Greg came out and was able to pin-point where the issue was and then the follow up to repair the issue was done very professionally. My wife and I are very happy with the San Rafael office of ALD and would definitely use their services again and refer them as well.

Had ALD out to my residence on the Peninsula and they diagnosed a ""tiny"" water leak which was leading to a massive water bill last month. They sent John out and he greeted me with excellent professionalism and a great attitude. On previous day I had my local water dept do a few pressure tests etc but even they were dumbfounded at the exact location of my problem.
John found my problem within 30min and couldn't be more happier. This week they will do the exterior repair and hopefully this will be the final time I need them out. Having a home on a concrete slab is worrisome when it comes to a water leak and glad this one is outside my residence.
