These companies take pictures of everything. The company wrote down the problem but claim, they never took any pictures of one of the problem even though it was a high light. In my opinion, they have the pictures but are playing ""cover your ass""

Before this even happened;

I have also used this company in a professional setting, and it's hit or miss, like 40% hit the first time, then pulling teeth for a reevaluation and most the time on the second or third reevaluation they locate the problem, again, it's after wasting a lot of time, arguing that the leak(s) were not found.

I stopped using them years ago and switched to a different company.

Good luck if you try them.

I was concerned about the negative reviews, but gave these guys a chance anyway. Glad I did. Five-star service from beginning to end. Spoke with Elaine when booking the job, and she was courteous, professional, and warm. Drew came out a few days later to identify the source of our pool leak. Cannot say enough about his level of service. If every service professional we dealt with was this good, we'd be set. He was punctual, professional, and went above and beyond to not only find the leak but to also make helpful recommendations without trying to upsell us. Great value for what we paid and wouldn't hesitate to both refer this company to friends and use them again if needed.

I can't say enough good about ALD. Special thanks to Kelly and Drew. Kelly arranged my repairs and got the job done quickly and painlessly. Drew came and did the excellent job of finding the leak and fixing it within exactly one week.

I give this company 5 stars for excellent communication, completion and follow through. I recommend them highly.

I was losing a ton of water from my pool -
Called American Leak , Drew came out and within 15 minutes found the leak in my jacuzzi return. Today he showed up and after going thru decorative brick and 6"" of concrete , another foot of dirt sure enough he found the problem, with expert care and professionalism he fixed the leak, repoured cement and the job is done. Drew is top notch and I highly recommend him!!

I am an apartment manager and may have a underground water leak problem that is costing tens of thousands of dollars bi-monthly. I called American leak detection and Eileen helped me tremendously in detail to understand the possible problem may have.
This is also a very expensive n timely job to find and fix.
At this time due to the Covic-19 recovery, She didn't have the manpower to address my urgency so she happily took the time to explain professional details I needed to continue my search. I'm confident I will find an equal qualified company using the information given

This place is the worst leak detection company you can find.They will come to your house they will tell you the leak is here they will break the pipes they will fix the break that they did and charge you for it . Get it in writing that they found the leak And they will fix it don't let them tell you but there might be another leak. That's how they operate do not trust him do your homework and find a better company.

This company's plumber came to my home sent by my home warranty (Fidelity National Home Warranty). The only thing he did was, put ""snake"" under the kitchen sink to see why the sink was backed up. He said we had ""ROOTS"" and would report to the warranty company so he could get back with a camera to see where the roots come from. We don't have trees by the way. But the warranty company refused to send him back with the camera because they don't cover damages caused by tree roots. I couldn't get second opinion from my warranty and we've been eating out and showering at the gym cuz we couldn't turn on any of the bathrooms or faucets and we've been using pail to empty the sink to keep water from flowing over the sink and flooding our floor. A week later, to save our home from getting worse, we hired a ""real"" plumber. They did the same check under the sink and found no roots. The clog we had was from grime and grease and they fixed it. So we paid them out of our pocket hoping the warranty company would reimburse us. We sent the plumber's report to our warranty showing that there was no roots and that the problem was fixed. Our warranty company refused to reimburse us. Because the job was done by a plumber not of their choice. Well plumbers like this American Leak Detection should not be in the plumbing business since they costed me hassles, headaches and money due to their stupidity and by making up bogus reports to the warranty company that we end up paying out of pocket.

Obviously the entirely one-star review lineup preceding me speaks for itself. Nevertheless, let my experience be yet another data point: this company is horrific. Complete scam artistry, charging hundreds of dollars up front and then claiming they can't do any assessments until you level out your pool to some arbitrary level they keep changing around. So, another visit and another upwards of $400 charge is what they demand. Don't fall for it. And God help you if you have to interact with Elaine. Unprofessional, unethical, disrespectful and straight up toxic. Bad vibes all around. How do these people sleep at night??
