emailed this company through their website to get a quote to replace and upgrade 2 Trane AC systems. Mike left me a voicemail. When I called back this last Friday, he was grumpy and confrontational. Very gruff with me. I figured if he was like this just trying to schedule an appointment, I can't imagine what having them do a $20K+ job would be like.

I really wished I could have used this company because of the stellar reviews on Yelp, but my rating is due in part because of the lack of communication I received while trying to get a service call set up.

I called and inquired about an AC Service, told the representative that it is blowing ""mildly cold air"" but that the unit was working. She did try to find something much sooner since I was hoping to have someone out there that day on June 7, 2016, but unfortunately the first available wasn't until June 10, 2016. The reasoning was because since my unit is working and that it is blowing mildly cold air their priority was for those who's units were not working at all. That's understandable and I was willing to wait. I made the appointment and advised that if I found something sooner from another company that I would call and cancel.

I called another company and they stated that someone would be able to be there on June 8, 2016, between the hours of 12p-4pm. I made that appointment, but I did not call American Home Water and Air, because I wanted to wait until the technician from the other company actually showed and gave a diagnosis. On June 8, 2016 at 8:06am I received a voicemail from Stan at American Home Water and Air stating that he was at my house, but because I was not present I would need to call the office to reschedule my appointment. I called their office and advised the representative that my appointment was scheduled for July 10, 2016, but that I was willing to leave work now if the technician would be able to come back. The representative verified this with Stan and agreed that he would be back between 10am-12p. Now (hindsight is 20/20), I called the other company that was originally scheduled to arrive and cancelled the appointment.

At 945a I left work to go meet with Stan, however I received yet another voicemail from Stan stating that he was at my house already, but that he could not do the service because my unit is a two-story condo unit. I returned his call to get clarification...can you not do the service call for today or can you not do service at all on a two-story condo unit? Stan advised that they could not do service at all because they do not have the equipment necessary to do service on two-story condo units.

Not once did anyone ask whether or not my condo was a one or two-story unit. I appreciate the technician coming out early unbeknownst to me and then returning back to my property...although both were outside the appointment times that were scheduled which was extremely inconvenient and frustrated. I wished for a lot better from this company given their reviews, but it has just been a disappointment.


In response to Thomas' response I am not an A/C professional so as someone who is not your customer it is not my responsibility to make unusual circumstances known to you. That is your job and any competent employee should and would have asked the appropriate follow-up questions. So to say, ""who writes a review like this..."" is the reason why I am not, nor will ever be your customer.

I called and spoke to Tom who came out the following day to provide a quote for a water softener and RO. He arrived on time, looked at our space and went through our options. No pressure at all. We got onto their schedule almost immediately to have the water softener installed. Gerardo came out to do the job. He was so quick with the install, mindful of our space, dogs and left the area super tidy. I would totally recommend these guys! You can shop around and save a little money, but in the end you're getting a better product & service with these guys!

I called American Home Water and Air this afternoon and within 2 hours, they were out to my home. The problem I am having does not occur every time with my AC and of course it did not do it while he was here. He checked everything and gave me suggestions and options. Never once did he try and sell me on something really expensive. I have heard horror stories about being upsold from other companies but am really happy to see how honest Bill was. He did a great job educating me and was extremely nice. I will definitely be back to use them in the future and will refer them to friends and family.

Wow, discovered my water heater had died at 7:00 am, called them, said they could be out by 9 am. On time, very professional, price was exactly as quoted on the phone. Angel, installer, was great. highly recommend this business. Less than one year after install heater pilot light would not remain on. Despite four service calls issue was not resolved. Friendly techs but did not resolve issue. Reason for prior 5 star going to one.

The owner did reach out and we had a good discussion and he offered an adjustment that was unexpected and not requested, moving rating to a 3, and will consider them for future work

5 star service from Brad and American. Zero pressure from this company and they actually provided quite a comprehensive and what I felt to be an honest evaluation of my aging system. Brad and Stan were great throughout and they were the cheapest of 3 quotes to replace my unit. They also had the best warranty. Easy choice.

Gerardo was an awesome tech my property managment company sent out. My water heater burst and he was here the next morning. He was extremely friendly and worked quickly to get the new water heater installed. My dog even liked him. Will definitely use AHW&A again in the future.

excellent service once again from AHWA. Brad came out to my house to service three a/c units. He also fixed a couple issues without additional charge. According to Brad, ""that's part of the inspection process."" I really appreciate this company putting clients first. When it comes time to replace my units, I will definitely contact them for the job. Thank you AHWA!
