I considered 6 plumbers for a job to replace the Water Main Shut Off Valve and Pipe. Raheb gave me the best quote and was available within the next day to do the job. He arrived on time and his workmanship was excellent. I won't hesitate to call on him for future plumbing job.

I had an issue with my kitchen sink faucet. Over time it had become loose and wobbly at the base and was showing hard water residue deposit and rust. Decided it was time to replace the faucet but due to the hard to reach location under sink, decided to call a professional plumber. As always I searched Yelp and checked the reviews. I am very happy that I came across American Home Plumbing Service. Called Raheb before noon on a Saturday and since he was doing a job in my neighborhood, he graciously agreed to stop by later in the afternoon to take care of my plumbing need. He is a real professional. Very courteous, knowledgeable in his field . I asked for recommendations on a quality replacement faucet and he was kind enough to tell me what brands to buy and what to stay away from !! He showed up on time and fortunately turned out that the faucet had simply become loose and could be tightened up without a need for a new replacement. He quickly took care of the problem and to my surprise refused to charge me for his services, even though he spent more than half an hour working on this issue to make sure all was in perfect working condition and that there were no leaks. I am going to use his services for a potential water softener installation due to extreme hard water in this neighborhood. Again quite impressed with his professionalism, his great work ethics and caring for the customer's best interest and not pushing for unnecessary replacement. I would not hesitate to call him for any and all plumbing needs I may encounter in future. I will be a customer for life. Great Job, Raheb.

We have been ignoring our minor plumbing issues for some time now. We finally decided to get them addressed, but we worried about finding a plumber that was not going to rip us off.

Our friends recently had a pipe explode underneath their house which created a HUGE mess for them. They told us that Raheb came to their rescue and they were quick to recommend him. We figured if he could help them out with an emergency like that, he could certainly help us with our issues.

We were not disappointed. Raheb stopped by installed a new kitchen sink, a new valve for the cutting off the water to the kitchen sink, a new cartridge for our shower faucet, and new ""guts"" for our leaky toilet.

He was quick, courteous, and polite. He took his shoes off without being asked and cleaned up after himself. He was straight forward about what he could and could not do (hence a new kitchen faucet, but only a cartridge in the shower), and estimated the cost for each job and came in on target for the estimate.

We were both very satisfied with Raheb and would recommend him to not only you as Yelpers but to our personal friends as well.

5 stars for Raheb! Last night we had a backed up sink that we couldn't get to clear and after calling a handful of rude plumbers this morning, Raheb was a breath of fresh air! He was so nice on the phone and told me he could come the next morning. Later he called back and said he had a cancellation and could come this afternoon! He got here so fast and was very pleasant to work with. He had the problem fixed in no time! He was very respectful of our home and was very good at explaining what he was doing to fix the problem. Plus, the price was much lower than I anticipated it to be!

I called Raheb for a common plumbing issue that seems to show up a lot in these reviews (Moen shower cartridge requiring replacement). I had another Moen fixture with the same problem recently, so I knew what the problem was. Raheb was very good at calling back and was able to come out within a day (he had to change the appointment a few times with another issue he was dealing with, but my tenant fully understood). Raheb's work was great. The problem I have is his charges. Raheb charged me $250 for the job. I had the exact same job done by another plumber for half the price six months ago (my normal plumber was on vacation so I used Yelp to locate a nearby plumber). The cartridge itself is not that expensive of a part, so I do believe his hourly fee to be excessive. For that reason, I will not be recommending him.

I had a leaky bath tub faucet. Within 15 mins they were at my front door ready to fix the problem. They did the job extremely quickly and without any complaints or hassles. The guy also had the part on hand so he didn't need to order it or pick it up. I was pretty impressed great service and I highly recommend them.

Quick, prompt service and a nice guy too!

Like another reviewer, we tried to switch out an old Moen shower cartridge but the whole interior of the cartridge slid out and left the plastic housing stuck in place. Now we couldn't turn the water back on because the shower valve would leak. And because life is a bowl of cherries I had to get food poisoning at the same time which meant a lack of running water for the toilet was a BIG issue.

But then we called Raheb this afternoon and he was at our place within the hour!

After some careful extraction work, he was able to remove the darn thing without scratching the brass surround (which would have meant a very costly repair), replace it with the new cartridge and put everything back the way it was.

Since he was there, we also asked about a sink in an unused bathroom that stopped flowing. He fixed that in 2 minutes - showed me how to unscrew the piece at the mouth of the faucet to release the build up of minerals was preventing flow from the tap (doh!).

So within an hour, we had 2 items fixed and our water back on.

Our hot water tank failed on a Sunday afternoon, so I quickly Googled ""best plumbers in San Jose."" This company was listed in the top 10 so I called. Raheb got back to me within 20 minutes of my voicemail and came the very next morning to give us a quote and replace our tank. He contacted my landlord to get pre-approved for all of the work and costs before getting started. He finished the job quickly, cleaned up after himself, and hauled away the old tank. He also made sure to choose a quality replacement tank. Very professional.

I decided to try and change a shower cartridge myself and when everything was disassembled, I couldn't get the thing out, even after soaking it in vinegar.I had the water off to my house so needed help right away to fix this.
I called and Raheb answered immediately. He was at my house within an hour and a half as promised and with his special tool, got the thing unstuck and changed for me. He was very courteous and neat, even took his shoes off in my house. I couldn't be happier with the service and the price was reasonable. I will definitely call them again the next time I need a plumber.

Raheb rocks!! He not only came out last night to shut all the water off to make sure there was no water damage, he gave me a quote on the spot. He came back today after picking up my new water heater and installed it and made sure everything (even my circ pump) was running properly. I cannot praise Raheb enough..he was very courteous and explained things to me...when he left, he left a clean and organized workplace. Thank you Raheb!!
