Recommended Customer Reviews

Professional, communicative, I can't say enough good things. Connie and her team are excellent at educating clients and looking out for people's welfare. American Drain Works saved me over $2,000! Lalo on the job was fast and explained everything. Don't shop around, avoid all the scammers out there and call Connie!

I had them come install a new kitchen sink today. Plumber was here in less than 30 min. Lalo did and excellent job. Was kind and friendly. The lady that helped me when I called was very nice as well. Good price too. Highly recommend!!

I cannot say enough good things about Connie! She helped us deal with a very tricky plumbing repair a few years ago and I have relied on her ever since. Yesterday - in the midst of the holidays and with house guests - I had an unexpected plumbing disaster with water dripping through a light fixture because of what turned out to be a broken pipe from a bathroom above. Though Connie was totally booked, she answered my SOS at 8 am and found another colleague to help within two hours. Today, Connie made herself available to help my daughter diagnose a kitchen back-up issue and again was able to get her the help she needed rapidly and professionally.

So a couple years after Connie did the work on a sewar line that she said needed to be fixed (for $1800) under the house (it wasn't blocked, she said from looking at it that it wasn't installed properly and would clog up eventually), the line ended up clogging up. She hadn't done all the important plumbing work and just installed a couple new junctions at a very high cost. It should have only cost a couple hundred dollars and if she was concerned about the line and it clogging, she should have installed a clean out, which I had to pay to have installed later when the line she supposed ""fixed"" did clog.
Generally, she will find issues in your plumbing that aren't issues. She overcharges with a fixed quote and explains that there's a ton of work, but her workers are done in an hour or two. She also was supposed to move a gas line and paid a deposit and when the LA Gas company called to move the line, she was unavailable and wouldn't refund my $750 deposit.
1) Always get a second or third quote. For small jobs, most plumbers will quote over the phone or text.
2) For bigger jobs, get a written quote. NEVER GIVE A DEPOSIT.
3) Be suspicious of additional work any contractor suddenly finds when they're giving a quote.
4) Email or text to communicate so you have a record of the work and the job. Take before and after photos.
5) Ask for a warranty in writing.

We needed a plumber to come by and find a gas leak behind a wall. The personable Connie at American Drainworks & Plumbing clearly explained the process ... it turns out that Connie is the boss AND a licensed plumber! She got us booked in pronto, and Lalo and Tomas arrived right on time and got to work. Lalo, too, explained clearly what needed to be done -- and they fixed the leak with minimal fuss, time, and money. Aside from their professionalism, these guys are SUPER nice people! As we said to Connie: ""It was no fun being told by the gas company that we had a leak behind a wall. That's pretty stressful! But it was worth it, to find you guys for the future."" Wouldn't call anyone else.

We had a major leak in a water line connection in the parking area of our 9 unit condo. Connie was instrumental in finding the right valve which was difficult to find to fix the problem, and the repair was able to be completed. I recommend her highly!

Our kitchen sink backed up causing the garbage disposal to not work and Carol was immediately responsive and got someone out to take care of it within a few hours. It is our second time working with American Drain Works and they have consistently delivered prompt and quality results. While I hope to not need a plumber again soon, we will definitely call Carol again if we do.

This female owned business is the best plumbing company I've ever used and they continue to be great. I won't go anywhere else.

Excellent service-prompt and reasonable fees. Fixed it right the first time! I definitely will call them again.

I had some issues with a prior plumber that this company had who had over charged me for a simple service, but the owner had called me and rectified the issue. I greatly appreciate their attentiveness to their customers.
