I hired this company to do our annual backflow inspection for my place of business. I should have checked the reviews first, so shame on me. I received a water shut off notice from the Village. I contacted this company and was told that they did in fact do the inspection. They told me I had to pay the bill before they report the results to the Village. Shame on me again. The bill was paid only for me to find out they did not inspect my unit at all. There's an actual picture of a pipe that's not in my unit.

I understand mistakes so I asked they to come out and correct the issue. They refused due to heavy call volume. Do not use this company. Your licensed plumber can get this done for you and get it right the first time.

I see they have very few reviews on Yelp so I thought I'd share my experience. I hired them to do the annual required backflow testing. My experience was great. First they charge much less than other companies (like $50 less). The inspector, Brian, arrived at my home 15 minutes early and when he entered was taking proper COVID precautions. He completed the test quickly, gave me a copy of the report and took my payment. A few days later the test was filed with the village as required. Communication with their sales rep via email was also quick and responsive.

So in short, they performed the required testing, quickly and professionally and it was very easy communicating with them. I'd use them again for backflow testing.

I do not recommend at all!! Our church switched from our long term, reliable inspection companies to American Backflow with the promise that combining everything with American Backflow would provide better service, communication and prices. ALL of which didn't happen! In only a year every inspection included ""add on"" work orders that we suspect were optional and not necessary to pass inspection. THEN came the real problem. Their back office reps were inconsistent, negligent, horrible communicators and rude. It all started with a problem with our Silent Knight Fire Alarm system. They assessed and provided a proposal for $3500 panel replacement, when I questioned the charge Shawn admitted he quoted the wrong service for the wrong customer.  (If I hadn't contacted Shawn would it have been caught?  I don't think so) So it was immediately changed to a $877 power supply replacement, then the attempt to install a new power supply didn't work because they realized ""original"" Silent Knight parts were needed.   It's hard to understand any reputable company wouldn't know that.  The final straw was then being ""schooled"" by a back office gal Danielle on how I need to ensure there is better communication moving forward because Shawn wasn't keeping her in the loop.  Really? I explained that Shawn knew we obtained a second opinion which uncovered the problem as a wiring issue in the Parsonage (a living quarters part of the church and included in that fire alarm system).  We then brought in a third company (our original company) and they agreed it was a wiring signal coming from the Parsonage.  They then located a wire clip attached to a wood beam which must have expanded and compromised a group of wiring cords into the parsonage.  So World Security found it, fixed it and only charged us $165.
With all of that still being said, it is clear American Backflow is not the company for us.   Now I just received an erroneous statement that we owe $150 from an invoice we never received. We have paid in full all invoices submitted for all work proposed. I am considering filing a complaint with BBB.

This company is a scam, very bad business practices. They use public information to trick companies into doing the yearly maintenance. The only reason they look knowledgeable is they are poaching information from other sources.

We called for service to move a sprinkler head. 2 days later we had a leak in a joint that American Backflow moved. They said it was not their fault and billed me for an other day to repair. The service man spent at least 6 hours draining the system to replace an elbow. Have had system drained since and it was under an our. I am now being sued for not agreeing or paying the bill. There are many reputable companies out there shop wisely.

This company is extremely shady! So beware. Yes they have cheap pricing, but you get what you pay for! Half the time they don't answer the phone when u call their office. They sub contract a lot of jobs they aren't even licensed to do. They'll quote you one price & you'll get an invoice for a lot higher price then you agreed upon. So watch out for them!

Have used this company for 2 years. Some services are farmed out and the techs don't show up or come late. The front office has quoted one price but invoices us at a much higher rate claiming the job took longer. After one visit the bypass valve was leaking after the tech had left. When they returned to fix they leak they cause they changed us $125 to fix the leak. We had them set up for out backflow service, sprinkler testing and fire alarm, but when they overcharged us by $90.00 on the fire alarm test we asked Stephanie to readjust the invoice, but she refused.
