American Air Conditioning &Heating.

Our a/c all of a sudden started to leak from the ceiling in our bedroom. I called American Air conditioning as I had a previous checkup with them. They came quickly because it was the beginning of a heat wave. The tech found the issue and was eventually repaired. Then the issue became a larger problem because the attic insulation was a mess, with rodent droppings. Long story short, they recommended a complete attic cleanup. We agreed, the attic guys came, they are a separate company, then they suddenly stopped and left the cleanup job as there was a raccoon up there too. We had to find someone to help, Rocky finally left. Work restarted, and finally done. I would like to thank Ashley, Jared and Cameron from American Air as they were professional, friendly and kind to 2 seniors.

Our first tech Alex was very good. He explained everything, answered all of my questions, and was upfront with all costs. He ended up having to order parts to complete the work, but at least got the air running before he left.
(Updated) They received the wrong part and did not come on Friday. Work was rescheduled to Sunday.
(Update) Sunday. Work was completed today by a different tech Juan. He was very personable and answer my questions, but our unit started leaking an hour after the tech left. I tried calling the office and they are closed and they do not have an emergency number. The number the tech provided on the invoice is also going to voice mail. I had to turn off the AC again to stop my garage from flooding. This went from a good call to a bad one. I am Very unhappy that I could not get a hold of anyone right after work was completed and had to turn the ac off, so my garage does not flood. I called every number I could find and left several messages.
(Update) I received a callback Monday morning and Juan came back today to resolve the problem with my ac unit pouring water out of it. He said they did not blow out the line either time they came that that was causing the problem. I do not know why this was not done originally. Assuming I do not have any more issues I am happy with the end result, but I am still unhappy that work was performed over the weekend and when I encountered an issue I could not get a hold of anyone. I feel this is poor customer care. If a company scheduled work over the weekend they should have an emergency number for problems.
(Update 8/12:) I received a few follow-up calls from Brenda Office Manager after this incident. She let me know that technicians working over the weekend was new to the company and they did not have any support in place for issues like I encountered. Brenda agreed that this is poor customer support and something they are working to resolve. She has assured me that their management has started working on a new support plan to ensure proper support anytime work is being completed. They have also extended my Service Club Membership an extra year at no charge to prove this was an isolated incident. I appreciate American Air Conditioning & Heating follow-up and desire to make things right after a bad situation. I will add that since the tech has been back out, I have encountered no issues and am happy with the end result.

Johnny was great. He answered all of the questions I had in a very straight forward and trustworthy manner. In the end they recommended replacement of my old AC unit and gave me a quote so I have something to compare with. I would use the company again in the future for service and maintenance on the HVAC after it has been replaced.

Extremely bad service; cancelled appointment without notice ; company scheduled another appointment and this time failed to come within 4 hour window. Unless you have nothing better to do but wait you can do better; On last 6 month service homeowner signature was forged by the technician and the job was incomplete. Required a follow up by a supervisor to finish the woek. Best to verify if installers are licensed by the State of California or you may end up with a botched installation and major electrical issues.

I haven't checked my AC for 2 years and decided to call American AC &heating. At the appointment day, They contacted me in advance to let me know when they come.Johnny showed up on time and did a great job with a very nice and professional attitude. He carefully explained and answered to all my questions. I signed up for a membership program that sends tech to check my AC and heater every year. I'm happy with the service so far.

Setup appt and they called to let me know that an earlier time opened up. Love the efficiency and texting a picture and statement of the technician they were sending. Irvin M. was courteous and thorough, asked a few questions and got straight to work. Carefully explained the problem and answered all my questions. Overall great experience.

Vaughn and Ernesto came in and knocked it out of the park. They were courteous, communicative, and respectful of our property and health. They answered all of my questions and only left the site when I had a complete walk through. Everything was cleaned up and the installation was really well done. Would definitely recommend this company. Overall they were very professional, including the initial site visit from Brent, who was efficient and transparent in his assessment of the work that needed to be done. He laid everything out and gave us options without any pressure.

The service technician, Erik Garcia from the company's Northridge office, arrived on time and fully-equipped to perform the maintenance procedure on my air-conditioning unit. He was thorough and detail-oriented as he went through the 28-point tune up and cleaning process. I asked many questions which Erik answered very patiently. When I couldn't understand an explanation, he would try again until we both felt that I understood. I was impressed by his work ethic and ability. American Air Conditioning and Heating is consistently reliable and I would recommend them to family and friends.

We signed up for the AC tune up - It was good value - Jarrod was the tech on 5/8/2021, very professional, courteous - Wore mask and booties inside the house - He spent about 2 hours - Took apart cover / Cleaned / serviced the AC unit / checked all the components to the AC unit - At the end he showed us the different pictures that he took with his ipad - There were no issues with the unit -
