Had a great experience with Alex and Jaime for my biannual inspection. Friendly and thorough - really couldn't ask for more. They explained everything in detail regarding how the system was performing and any recommended maintenance or issues to watch out for.

They ripped off my 91 year old uncle! They came out for the $129 special service. I tried to stay for the entire inspection but had to leave. As soon as I left, they told him they found 2 parts that needed replacement. He said they spent about 5-10 minutes replacing the parts and then had him give his signature on a pad. No invoice, nothing! They charged around $1,100 on his card! I immediately called and demanded an invoice which they emailed to me. They charged him over $500 per part! I asked for a 2nd opinion on the prices. I was told that IF they did need replacing, the prices were more than double! Remember, nothing wrong while I was there. Major ripoff!!!! Elder abuse!

If I could give this company a zero rating, I would. I have never written a review before BUT, I have been struggling to get the ""new"" air conditioning unit that they installed at my home replaced since it was installed in 2021!! First, they were replacing parts and since 9 MONTHS LATER I was so frustrated I asked if they could just give me another unit. Well, then the drama began. They have one supervisor (Brenda Beals) who after agreeing it should and was approved for replacement, seemed to drop off the face of the earth - never returning emails or phone calls. They always say when they answer the phone ""how can we make you smile"" - this is a truly unprofessional and disrespectful way to treat someone who in good faith purchased and paid for a NEW UNIT! The technicians show up (these guys are great), but say this unit is marked for replacement and there is nothing they can do....well, here we are at the end of 2023 and I'm still waiting for them to MAKE ME SMILE. Does the owner of this company care about it's reputation?

Representative Hector Mejia is the best technician you will ever meet. He detected the problem with the vents, which were stopping and starting, instead of continuously flowing. He found the problem and was able to resolve it very quickly Hector Mejia is the best man to handle all calls, whether you have an appointment or an emergency. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!

Until I cancelled this month, we had a service contract on our HVAC unit for several years, on gas furnace from 2006 and a/c unit from 2014. They visited semi-annually. We noticed that the techs seemed to find ""problems"" with our system that required buying more parts/labor from American AC (like experience from another customer review).
On 9/28, a tech came to prepare furnace for winter, examined the furnace and declared the ""heat chamber"" was showing wear and needed replacement soon at $3,200,. Or, we should really replace the entire system with new heat pump or gas/AC system, because adding new productson an older system is asking for future problems. If he actually ""fixed"" our system, the furnace was inoperative 2 days later.
Second tech arrived on 10/3, confirmed diagnosis to replace it and brought in tech/sales guy who quoted $28,000-$30,000 for new heat pump or gas/AC system, which seemed excessive.
We subsequently met with 3 other AC companies for second opinions: NONE thought unit needed replacement or expensive parts. IF we were to decide on a new heatpump, we received written quotes at $13,000 and $14,500, less than half the American AC quote!
We also learned that the ""heat chamber"" was aluminum, doesn't oxidize and was covered by a 30-year warranty.

Based on the service received by their Technician Jonathan Barron, I am very impressed with this company. Firstly, he arrived on time and took every precaution necessary to keep my floors and carpets clean. Thank you! He was professional, extremely knowledgeable, patient, and friendly. Jonathan showed me step by step the maintenance needed to keep my furnace and air conditioner running now and in the future. It is my strong belief that that the key to a successful company is in the QUALITY of the personnel it employs. Jonathan Barron is a reflection of that. Hence, I am extremely satisfied with the cost and work done and will not hesitate to call American Air again. A+
