Joanne M.Just had my annual A/C maintenance done by a nice young man by the name of Raul, who was courteous and thorough - he even gave me a crash course on how my A/C works ... I am now an ""expert""
I've been very pleased with this company since I first used them for issues with my old furnace about 5 or 6 years ago. Since then I've purchased a new furnace, added A/C, and also added extra insulation in my attic through their company. Definitely would recommend their services!
High marks for the excellent service from American Air Conditioning & Heating. The phone rep was great and my service technician, George, was completely professional, explained to me everything he did and even volunteered to replace my filter with a different type - to better facilitate air flow. My AC is on the older side and I feel it is George's attention that has kept it performing, so far, through our brutal summer. The $99 offer for service is money well-spent.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart! I called at 3:00 in the afternoon, my house was already 92 degrees inside when I got home. My poor dog was sick. Michele you sent someone over right away. This was not an easy fix but you had my air blowing cold that night. Thank you so much! A + and 10 Star!
Chris V.Please beware and know this company overcharges their customers. I had scheduled a diagnostic for my AC unit. They came out and performed the diagnostic and correctly identified the problem that my unit had a leak. And quoted me over $2,500 to find and repair the leak and refill the R-410A gas. My gut feel was this was extremely high and thankfully I followed that gut feel and declined service. I found another AC company who came out and fixed the problem and was nearly $2,000 cheaper. For example the gas American tried charging for was nearly $900 for 6 lbs and the other company only charged $50/lb. I called to see if there was a mistake in their quote and the office manager smugly let me know they know their prices are high but they believe they are the best. I believe they are deliberately ripping off consumers.
Hank was the technician (Senior Technician) who came out for their $99 offer. He was on-time, professional, friendly and knowledgable. I was worried about calling a company I have never used or hadn't been recommended by anyone I knew, but Hank put my worries to rest. I will recommend American AC & Heating to my friends.
T T.Nick F. Was our technician, who came to our house for our yearly maintenance. This was the first time going through American Air Conditioning and we are happy to say, that we will continue working with them, thanks to Nick's professionalism, knowledge and advice.
Johnny and Brian came out today to help me fix my A/C. They were awesome! Very cool and professional. Would have them back in a heartbeat!
Well, got a flyer in the mail for a $99 tune-up guaranteed a 100% return on my investment. Wow, let's go for it. It's summer time, going to only get hotter, so let's try this out. Oh, you had to act before July 15th for the $99 ""deal"". Well, called the last week in June just to be ahead of the expiration date, spoke to a lovely lady and scheduled a tune-up for 2 off the 3 units I have on the 5th of July. Was told it'll be 2-3hours, no problem, sign me up !! So, on the 3rd of July, got a call from another phone number, not the one I initially called, stating that the technician had an emergency and they'd have to reschedule. Now, this was the Tuesday afternoon before the holiday, so I left them a message stating I got their message and to call to reschedule whenever. Got a call back that evening, rescheduled it to the 12th of July. Didn't know we'd have a 114 degree heatwave on the 6th of July. Could of used them there the first time. Oh, well, we survived (even a power outage on Saturday too). So today, the 11th of July, we got another call from a nice young lady stating the same thing, that they had an emergency and they had several techs call out. Really was looking forward to a tune-up. So they said that they could refer us to Acme? air conditioning and gave me a phone number. What?? Anyway, kind of think that they got in over their heads with the spectacular tune-up deal for a limited time. Should of seen it coming the first time, but once is ok, twice not so good. Wont be calling again, either American air or Acme air?? either. Too bad.......going back to the people I've used before who are dependable.
American Heating has been the service provider for my neighbor and I for many years. Yesterday I called for an appointment because A/C in my condo was only working intermittently. April made me an appointment for the next day - today - which was surprising because this is going to be a very hot week in Portland, and I didn't think I'd even get an appointment all week.
Today Alejandro serviced the A/C and he found the problem right away and offered suggestions for the best fix. In no time, he had the repairs made and was on his way. Alejandro was very polite and professional - I couldn't ask for more in a service tech or a service company.
Stephanie M.I called a week ago to schedule and appointment on what would be considered the hottest day of the year. It was 114 degrees yesterday and it is expected to be 104 degrees today. They were to suppose to follow up with an email confirming my appointment, I never received an email. I called to confirm my appointment on the day it was scheduled and was told the technician would be out between 12 and 3. About an hour later I get a call stating the technician had an emergency and couldn't come to service my AC unit. The representative didn't ask to reschedule another appointment, they just left me to hanging in 104 degree weather. After reading the reviews this may be a blessing!!!!
