I just had annual maintenance completed on my Heat/AC and these guys are great. They were on time, professional, clean and honest. I have had other company come and they have said I had mold when I did not just to make a buck doing a non-necessary mold abatement. I had one company take my expensive furnace filter and the cartridge that hods it and replace it with a cheep filter. George B (and his helper - forgot his name - sorry) showed me the pressures on the system, what needed to be done and showed me after as well. I could see what was done. The also put down canvas mats to keep everything clean. every time they entered the house they put on booties and took them off every time they left the house. The bottom line is they were trustworthy and did a good job at a good value. Thats hard to beat these days. I toothy recommend them and they will be my go-to company from now on.

I called for a tune up on my AC and furnace.
The young lady I spoke to was professional and helpful. She made an appointment for two weeks out, but also called a day before to confirm.

The company sent George and Jarret, who arrived precisely at 10am as promised. They were very polite and seemed enthused to be there. Each made sure to cover their shoes to protect my floors and even brought their own doormat. Which is a first for me, and a very nice touch.

George and Jarret did a very thorough 2 hour inspection and cleaning of both systems and provided me with a comprehensive and transparent assessment, along with numerous photos of all components. George also gave me tips to extend the life of the unit.

Needless to say, I am very impressed with this organization and I recommend them. I will use them in the future. And when the time comes, I'll call them out for an estimate for my new system.

Today, I had a technician by the name of Alex finish up the rest of my air and heating inspection and he spent over 3 hours taking apart my heater and showing me the wear and tear. Very detailed in his work. Unfortunatly, I will be needing to replace my unit in the near future for safety reasons. I am grateful to Alex for pointing out the dangers and advising me what options I have available. The cost seemed very high for me to replace with American Air Conditioning, so I will have to get a couple of different estimates. Thank you for your promote, professional, and knowledgable technicians.

I got a promotional letter from James Smith, owner of American Air Conditioning & Heating. It suggested I ""invest"" in a tune-up of my AC/heater for $99 and guaranteed a ""return of investment"" along with renewing my warranty for one year.
The two page letter was written very well and it explained that by having a technician out for the 90 minute inspection they might be able to prevent future problems. I got a similar letter/proposal last year and I was impressed so I decided to pull the trigger and schedule the ""tune-up.""
The technician was due in window from 8a-11a. A few minutes after 8a I got a call that a technician had called in sick, but they were still coming, it just might be a little later, around noon. Was I OK with this change? Wow, that was nice, usually you just sit and wait a whole day.
I got a call saying my technician was on the way about 11:30 and at noon he arrived.
Johnny V was clean and neatly dressed. Before he came into the house he put protectors over his shoes. Johnny was amazingly thorough and spent near 2 1/2 hours checking, cleaning and tuning up my system. He cleaned a filter on my AC, taking it down to hose it off. He even changed the air filter in the house. Johnny also took time helping me understand my Next digital thermostat.
I expected him to find things that needed to be fixed figuring once they get in the house they'll find something. But no, there was no up-sell. Johnny took the time to go over all the things he checked. He did suggest that this kind of service should be done twice a year, once before summer and then once before winter. American AC has a program that automatically schedules the twice yearly visit and if I sign up I get a discount on service, parts and I am guaranteed that any time I need service I get priority.
While I didn't sign up for that service, I was very impressed with the way American does business. Should I have problems, I now have someone to call.

American Air Conditioning & Heating HAS A THIEF in their employ. This is what occurred:

A few years ago we purchased a new air conditioning and furnace set from American Air ($10,000 or $11,000, I think).

On February 12 or 13, 2018, a very special necklace was delivered that I had purchased for our daughter-in-law. We intended to give it to her for her birthday. The day it arrived, I put it (in its 4"" x 4"" box) on the floor of our upstairs home office closet. It's where I put all unwrapped gifts.

On February 14, Valentine's Day, two men from American Air came to service our units for a fee of $99. I was not home, but my husband was. One of the men, ""A"", had been with the company for 20 years. The other, ""C"", was a trainee. The air and furnace units are in our attic, and THE ACCESS IS THROUGH THE HOME OFFICE CLOSET CEILING. There were times when A or C were alone in the closet, as the other would go out to the truck or compressor outside.

On February 15, I opened the office closet looking for something and saw that the box was gone. I got on my hands and knees and saw that the box was pushed completely under a nightstand which was just behind the box. I pulled the box out, opened it, and it was empty.

Absolutely NO ONE was in the house during those few days except A and C from American Air Conditioning and Heating. It is 100% certain that one of them stole our necklace. Again, one man was a 20-year employee (A). The other was a trainee (C). Which one do you think is the likely thief? In any case, it WAS AN EMPLOYEE OF AMERICAN AIR WHO STOLE THE NECKLACE.

I have had to make NUMEROUS phone calls to American Air trying to get them to reimburse me for the necklace and the service call. (We should not have to pay for service where their employee steals from us.) I filed a Sheriff's report as soon as I discovered the theft. Last I knew, C was still working for American! He could very well still be stealing from others, and his girlfriend or wife is likely enjoying her stolen Valentine's gift. To date, March 29, 2018, I have not received reimbursement, though through repeated calls on my part, they claim ""it's in the mail"". That process has been two weeks now. Absolutely nothing would happen if I didn't constantly press them.

Yesterday I left a message for ""B"" who is my American Air contact on this issue. I told her ""Time is up""....meaning I am now writing this horrid review to alert other potential customers of American Air & Heating that the company employees A THIEF.

I highly recommend this company. Both of my customer service gentlemen were excellent. They cleaned the filter cleaned my water heater furnace and air conditioning checked out all electrical wiring and explained any areas that may need upgrading. No pressure sales. They really deliver the free maintenance check ups, they even call several times to make sure you schedule it. it is just smarter and feels much better to maintain our system instead of waiting for it to break down. Highly recommend!
