Ameen General Contractors Inc. was hired to repair a portion of my garage ceiling with sheet rock, to seal all seems/joints, to add insulation, install kitchen base cabinets and ceramic flooring as a result of a pipe burst.

INSULATION: he did not install the insulation. Insulation was essential to the project since the cold temperature caused the problem. Insulation was IN-SCOPE and he included the costs in the invoice. Only after we pointed out to him that the work was not done, he removed the cost.

SHEET ROCK: the sheet rock was poorly hung in the ceiling as it cracked/bent at the edges after 1 month! Also, wide openings in the sheet rock were cut leaving all piping in the ceiling exposed which is a fire hazard and exposing the pipes/ceiling to cold temperatures!

GARAGE DOOR OPENER: go access the work area, Rick's ""team"" changed the electronic garage door from automatic to manual mode and come to find out, left it in that mode for me to figure out how to change it back automatic mode; the way it was BEFORE they touched it!

KITCHEN: Rick did not add hardware to the cabinet doors that were installed, nor did he mention hardware! Did not mention adding a toe kick to the base of the cabinets. I had to install.

His work is unacceptable. The lack of supervision and accountability is evident. The objective of this project was to insulate the ceiling and the piping in the ceiling as a preventative to freezing pipes in the winter months. This objective was not accomplished It was clear that HIS OBJECTIVE, was getting his guys paid, prior to completion of work. I was harassed by several text messages and phone calls to pay the final remaining balance, PRIOR to completion or satisfaction of the work. Ameen General Contractors was paid in full, and yet the response to the request to correct the issues was no.

Let me begin, by saying that I am so SURPRISED at these reviews! Ameen General Contractor, has done so much work on my house and I have NEVER EVER had a problem with any of their work. They remodeled my entire first floor, remodeled 2 out of 4 of my bathrooms, put a brick wall around the parameters of my home, not to mention the small odd jobs that they have done. I can call them with a BIG JOB or a SMALL JOB and I always get a answer. Any problems that occurred they always addressed them immediately! I have recommended them to NUMEROUS people including my OWN MOTHER and have not ONCE, has any of them complained about their WORKMANSHIP! I take pride in my home and I would NEVER recommend any COMPANY that did POOR WORK! Ameen General Contractor is NOT one of the COMPANIES, that is on my do not hire list and trust and believe I can name a few. Attached are photos that I was able to retrieve and Unfortunately, I don't have my old phone with other BEFORE AND AFTER photos, but trust me when I say I'm looking for them to show their WORKMANSHIP! They are PROMPT and PROFESSIONAL! They always began their work at 8am and cleaned any mess before leaving my home at 5pm. I have had several people come to my house including the paramedics that came for a 911 call complement me on my home. They even made a comment about always wanting too see the inside of my home because the outside was so beautiful. If I EVER need anything else fixed or remolded in my HOME, I would 100% positively CALL Ameen General Contractor's to do the WORK!

Very bad experience. Took the money and never completed any work. Did not get any approval from the township for the diagrams produced and does not pick up the phone calls most of the times. Trying to get the refund for last 5 years

After receiving a number of estimates to repair my home after a devastating fire, I decided to hire Ameen General Contractor. He was knowledgeable on planning and securing permits, required by the city and all documents were provided in a timely manner.

The workmanship was superb and his professional staff did an excellent job, with all facets of construction, including kitchen and bath remodel. My home is absolutely beautiful.

Ameen Contractors were hired to do roof repairs at my home for me in August 2011. From day one, I have not been satisfied with their workmanship. I had to call them back several times to correct several problems which two years later still exist. More extensive damages have occurred to my home do to their roof repairs that were never fixed. Eventually, the entire ceiling collasped. They were paid in full for a job that I am still experiencing problems with and totally dissatisfied. They DO NOT honor their warranty work. I was given a promise of a three year warranty, and they don't return emails unless you make threats and then want to go back and forth with you about the issue instead of coming out to your home investigating the issues and trying to resolve it. Instead they tell you how much they spent on materials If that be the case why wasn't the job done CORRECTLY?? I had been quite patient regarding this matter and kept getting excuses that the pitch was off on the roof, I needed a new skylight, etc. After awhile I just was so overwhelmed and had medical issues I could not go right after them, but I'm better now and I refuse to let them Rip me off. I will not go away and will seek to resolve this matter legally and by whatever means possible. The roof repairs were not done correctly and to date I am still experiencing severe leaks and extensive damage to my ceilings which continues to get worst. I am left having to file complaints with the Better Business Bureau, and file a claim in small claims court. So if you have money to throw away hire them. Yes, he gives good quotes but as the sayings go you get what you pay for. My suggestion to you is don't consider this company, find a reputable one whom sticks to their promise of workmanship and honors their warranties. I hope and pray that this NEVER happens to anyone else!! I give them a BIG THUMBS DOWN!! Very unprofessional and unreliable. Also, you have to request the warranty and a receipt, that is NOT how it's done!! DO NOT HIRE THEM IT'S NOT WORTH THE HEADACHE!!
