Charged me $175. for ""water leak investigation"" then another $275. to fix it for a total of $450 to replace a gasket. Would not apply ""investigation"" fee to repair and also, won't accept a credit card but then harasses you for payment within hours of the job. Used by Cagan management.

Our condo building has a lot of old pipes and recently the air conditioning condensing drain and pipes got clogged causing both a flood in my hvac closet and a downpour through my neighbors ceiling below. They brought out tons of tools and kept going with multiple contraptions working diligently to remedy this stubborn clog between units. This issue was very concerning as it's too hot not to use AC and my poor neighbors were worried about the possible need to replace their whole system and part of their hardwood floors. At times we were both emptying buckets every hour until Sinan and his team arrived with very short notice. They are honest, knowledgeable and hardworking professionals.

I needed to have the turn valve that connects to the dishwasher under the kitchen sink replaced because it was not shutting off the water, a new kitchen faucet installed, and the turn valve and connector hose replaced on a toilet. I had been told by the maintenance man at the condo building that in that in order to turn the water off to my condo to change the turn valves, the water in the whole building, 39 units, needed to be turned off. I was told the plumber would need to be licensed, get a COI to the building, and would have to turn off the water to the building and turn it back on.
I asked my building manager if there was someone he knew that could do this work. He suggested Sinan from Amazing Plumbing. Because he recommended him I did not check his references, as I should have.
I texted Sinan what I needed to have done and sent photos of the items I had and was having installed. He suggested that I change all three of the valves under the sink - he would supply the valves, I had the other items that I was having replaced. He said that it would take hours to shut the water down in the building and to drain the system and then hours to turn the water back on. He said it would cost $850 to do this work. This is a lot of money, but I agreed because he of the time he said it was going to take including shutting the water off to the building. The manager of the building sent out an email to everyone stating that the water was going to be shut down in the building on the day the work was scheduled.
On the day Sinan came to do the work I was not there, the maintenance man from the building let him in. He needed to show him where the water would be shut off in the basement. Sinan called me at 9:13am when he arrived to go over what he was supposed to do. When I said the valve and the connecting hose to the toilet needed to be replaced, he said that he hadn't quoted that and the price would be another $175. I said it had
been included in his quote. He said ok. I have the text that shows I asked for that and had sent pictures of the parts I had bought. If I hadn't remembered that we had discussed it, I would have spent another $175.
I bought a new toilet tank lever that needed to be installed and asked him if he would install it for me. We had not discussed this before. I thought that for the 2 minutes it would take him to install, he would say he would do it without charging anything more than the $850 he was already charging. He said it was the wrong lever, he might have one on his truck, if not he would have to drive to a store to buy the correct one. He said he would change it for an additional $125. He said if I didn't want him to do it, I could call someone else. Reluctantly, I agreed to have hime do it.
At 10:50am my maintenance man called and said that Sinan was finished and had left. Sinan did not call me to tell me he had finished and to ask for payment - that would be letting me know that all of his work was completed in less than two hours. As of 10/21 Plumbers in Chicago are not making $487 per hour. I went to the condo to make sure everything was done, which it was. I asked the maintenance man how it could be done so quickly. He said that the water did not need to be turned off to the whole building. There is a shut off valve for my water in the condo. I wished he knew that before.
At 11:45 I sent a text to Sinan thanking him for finishing all of the work and I noticed that the toilet tank lever that I had purchased was the correct one and he had replaced it. I said that since the water in the building did not need to be turned off which saved him hours of work that he said it would take and was charging me for, what was a fair charge for the (less than) two hours he was at my condo? He replied that I owed him what we had agreed on $975.
I do not think this is fair or professional. I offered him $500 for full payment of his services. He said he wants his $975 or he will put a lien on the condo.
After more discussion he agreed to take $850. I still think this is not a fair price.
I will not recommend him to friends if they ask for a plumber recommendation.

Super frustrating experience with Sinan. I called to ask him to come out and give me a quote on the plumbing for a new bathroom. This isn't a small job and certainly worth his time and he seemed completely uninterested. Hemming and hawing about being busy and not having time to even look at the project...how do you do business like that man? Someone calls you trying to give you work and you blow them off? Even if you are busy, you don't blow someone off, offer them options or refer them out. I certainly do not recommend Sinan or his business, don't call this guy, he won't have time for you.

After some discussion on what I needed done, what the options were and also on what was needed to bring an old building up to code, Sinan has been very helpful and reliable and done the work in the time agreed. Yes it's expensive, yes you get what you pay for :)

Sinan did an amazing job. We had a kitchen sink overflowing at 7pm last night and he was there within 30 minutes. He did speedy yet quality work and stuck around to be sure there were no additional issues with either the sink or dishwasher. Will definitely be referring Amazing Plumbing to any friends or family in need!!

This company it's so experienced and responsive . We use Amazing Plumbing for last 13 years at few different properties. We had back up in one of our buildings couple weeks ago at 9 pm at night and they were at the building with in 30 min . By coming so fast they were able to stop the back up that was about to flood second floor apartments and make a huge damage. We would like to recommend anyone out there to try them out They won't be disappointed.

Mr. A responded quickly. Which was great. I was charged 480$ to replace the pink sponge in 2 toilets!
Mr. A, ?Would not accept my credit cards. Cash or cash card is all he'll accept?. I assured? him I'd? go to the bank and get cash the next business day. He texted me twice he'd be over? to pick cash.
He did not take the garbage with him. I took the box and the parts he replaced to Devon Hardware. The price for the parts used were 17dollars each!!!!
Mr.? A was in my home for Less than? an hour.....I confronted him by phone from the hardware? store. I'm a widow now but I learned a great deal from this experience?.

I doubled the parts price and added 50$ for his labor.

Mr.? A asked I never request his service? again. I assured him I never would again. We had used him 9 years ago.

Peace of mind!

My bathroom sinks had been draining super-slowly as of this past week. I told one of the Building Engineers about it. Seeing that today was Xmas Day, I didn't think anything would be done about it until at least tomorrow. Less than 40 mins after he left, he came back with Sinan from Amazing Plumbing. He quickly diagnosed the problem. He unblocked the drains with a super-long auger and replaced a corroded pipe. Now, I can use my bathroom sinks to brush my teeth again! The quote was kind of steep, but what did I expect for a prompt call-out on Xmas Day? It's worth the peace of mind. Now, I just hope my Building Management will help me absorb some of the costs...... ;-)
