I used AM/PM twice in the past few months. Zack was very response...coming out the same day to replace a garbage disposal. A few weeks later, the pressure regulator that reduces pressure into the house failed. Again, Zack came right over later that day to assess the situation, then placed an order for the repair part and fixed it a couple of days later. I've had that regulator replaced before so I also knew that Zack gave me a fair price.

Of no small consequence, he was working outside on a 100 degree day. No complaints...just got the job done. Oh...and he and his guys all showed up wearing masks which was appreciated. Highly recommend.

I called this morning and spoke to Steve who said he would give me a call back around 10:30 am after he finished his first job this morning. I have called back twice to leave messages and texted multiple times. It's now after 2 pm and no response.

Please at least call and tell me you can't come so I can seek help elsewhere!

I have used Steve (Zack) several times to take care of issues at my 86 year old parents house. He is extremely honest and very patient when explaining plumbing problems to the public. Zack is a meticulous worker with decades of experience. He genuinely likes people and loves his job. He is in high demand so be patient if you get his answering machine, he will get back to you. The wait is more than worth it.

My mom had a kitchen sink and a tub plugged up. I tried to see if I could clean it but could not get it to clear. So we called AM - PM and they came out in a timely manner. They ran their snake through the cleanclean out and got the drain cleared and then he went about twice as far down the drain just to make sure it was clean.

Often times we need a plumber. This morning I want to give a shout out to Zach at AM-PM Rooter & Plumbing. Not only were they very professional, knowledgeable, EXTREMELY REASONABLY PRICED, and clean, they did a wonderful job!

The total cost of my job was $75.00 pe drain. (I had two clean outs.)

The thing that sets AM-PM above and beyond in my eyes was the respect Zach shows to his assistant! I've seen other plumbers that give their employees all the dirty work. Zach and his assistant are a great team, and it was important that there not be animosity from subordinates.

Consumers- Beware! These guys were terrible.

I called with very simple clearing out of drain with outside clean-out.
I found them in Ojai phone book and they run a very large ad that states under the heading: Best Kept Secret in Ojai- $75 sewer line cleaning. It is really best kept false advertising!

I mentioned the ad which states it is good until June 2015 and the plumber states he just changed the price a month ago and now it is $125.00. The ad also links you to a coupon that offers another 110% off- the guy stated, ""oh we're not doing that"".

He offers to do job for $75 and I agree. He told me he would be there in 20 minutes. I thanked him and told him the time was important as I had to get to work.
He never came. I waited and was late for work.

I called several times to find out what was going on and it kept going to voice mail. I blocked my caller id and called and another guy answered, stated that if I wasn't happy, then go to someone else and then hung up.

So, false advertising, not showing up when they said they would, and rude hang up all adds up to crummy customer service.

If you are not going to do a job, don't say you are going to do the job and then waste my time. It's simple-do what you say you are going to do!

AM-PM Plumbing worked for us twice in 2012, both times the service was 5-star. Friendly, reasonable (a ceiling of $75 unless the job proved difficult) & especially kind to my mother, who has since gone to immortality. Later that year we phoned AM-PM on two occasions & our calls weren't returned, so we reluctantly hired others who (to put it kindly) weren't quite so premium. I hadn't needed a plumber all year but returned from vacation to find a stubborn sink, so tried AM-PM again. This time my call was returned, the plumber showed up as promised, was polite and quickly fixed the sink.

A few quibbles: (1) The work was done not by AM-PM but outsourced to another company (2) I was charged $85 for a visit that was 20m at most (3) the Drano residue around the trap hadn't been cleaned, I had to do it myself & (4) another problem had appeared that morning but the plumber hadn't time to stay & fix it. I would need to make another appointment & presumably start the clock over again, another $85 at least. I realize he was probably on a tight schedule, but overall I felt a little gypped, especially compared with the enthusiastic, above-&-beyond service we'd received on earlier occasions.
