My Home Warranty sent AM PM to fix a 2 part toilet that was leaking....we've had this a few yrs. ago in another bathroom and the plumbing co. took care of the issue immediately ......We also had a toilet that wouldn't stop running and Douglas said he didn't have the part and would be back....Lastly one of our Master bath Faucets had basically come off and needed a new one.....Since warranty companies pretty much replace it with a general run of the mill set-up my wife went ahead and bought a new one which ultimately saves the warranty co. money.
Well AM PM was here in the morning as scheduled which was Wed,Jan.22,2020, today is Sunday,Jan.26,2020.
They have not followed up since Wed....no call with update, rescheduling,no return calls........etc. In fact I got an email from my warranty co. AHS 2 days ago stating they were notified that the job was completed.
So now I am trying to speak to someone at AHS.......be sure to read the reviews on their website and their BBB report is horrible......
DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES USE THIS COMPANY.

My home warranty hired AM PM plumbing to fix an in-wall pipe leak. The technician from AM PM came out on schedule on a Friday (actually earlier than the home warranty company's appointment) and confirmed the diagnosis. He then told me that he needed access behind the linen closet and that cutting more than drywall was not in his scope of work. He referred me to Adams D&R to have access made. Although AM PM knew that Adams was coming to make access on Saturday, and AM PM advertises themselves as a 24-hour plumber, I did not get a call until mid-morning on Monday to schedule the repair. At that time they told me that the earliest the repair could be completed was on Wednesday afternoon. They came out on Wednesday and completed the repair. It all might sound kind of reasonable except for the fact that the water to my house was shut off for 5 days starting from their first visit.
It appears to me that AM PM does good work but they don't have the resources to get a job done quickly when it is urgent for the customer. It is also a little disconcerting that they appear to use their answering machine to screen phone calls so it is difficult to get in contact with them immediately.

My aunt had problems with her water heater and contacted AM PM Plumbing to come out and take a look. They were real quick to respond to our request and said there needed to be some work done being that the water heater was getting to be around 5 years old.
AM PM Plumbing did a great job explaining to us in details the next steps we should take and why. Overall they were really helpful and professional.

Hot water heater leaking into the garage and wall. Couldn't come out for five days. Called multiple times to see if they could come out earlier- nope. Always goes to voice mail- no one calls back. Finally came out- here for 10 minutes- couldn't fix it today- we were told they would call back to schedule new install with in an hour. NOT - called them repeatedly, left messages, no call. Haven't had water for the week- AM PM YOU ARE HORRIBLE!!!!!!! Called Diamond and they were out in 2 hours- will be replacing the water heater tomorrow at 8:00am. AM PM- that is how you should operate.

Okay.... I'm going to lay some people's concerns to rest (hopefully).
First off, no... I am not a shill poster. I among the best at flaming a business that deserves it. Second, no... I did not get paid for this review. Third, no.... I am not affiliated with this company or it's owner nor with AHS.
So.... now on with the review:
This is the second time I called AHS for plumbing issues and they dispatched AM/PM Plumbing to my house. The first call went without a major hitch.... the only thing that took longer was the fact they had to schedule a return visit due to their needing to order a specific cartridge for a ""prestige"" brand faucet. No one on the planet stocks them but the manufacturer and it took light years to get the part. When the tech left, he had cleaned up after himself (no, he's wasn't Suzy Spotless, but we didn't call him to clean our house) reasonably well. Subsequent to the repair, we did not need to call them back for poor workmanship. It's over a year since those repairs and everything is still working properly. All replacement parts were OEM parts - not generic big box units. No attempt to bump us up on price for ""additional work"". No hustling. Nothing.
Today was the second repair. Shower cartridge in our guest bath. I was printing the confirmation from the AHS website when the phone rang. Guess who? AM/PM Plumbing. Had an appointment within 2-4 hours - same day. I'm not saying it will always work out that way (keep in mind that the AHS contract reads within 2 business days so... you call on a Friday it could be Monday before they call - and it's legit. It's what you bought.) In most prior cases, the contractors have called within the same day. If they didn't, I called them the next morning.
The technician showed up within his time window (the app showed his progress.... the window was 10-12: He posted at 10:58). He came in, looked at the valve, went back out to the truck to fetch his tools and replacement parts and went to work. In 15 minutes we were back up and running. Genuine Moen OEM replacement parts. No damage to the walls, tile, bright work. Wiped down the shower floor and he was on his way. He did inform me that the last cartridge was a non-original part which could have caused a premature failure. Again: No attempt to bump us for additional work. No walking around aimlessly and wasting time. No ""extra"" charges for an OEM part. Nada.
Me, being me, I asked him why the YELP! reviews are so crappy. His response is that many customers don't realize what the warranty covers (or in most cases what it DOESN'T cover). In other cases he cited ""poor interpersonal skills"" of some of the techs (I guess they're plumbers not psychologists). Add to that the stress of something that's broken and costs money and you have the perfect storm.
One thing to note: If you have a $1,000 kitchen faucet and it needs to be replaced, AHS will not buy you another $1,000 faucet. They put in contractor's grade as a replacement. You want another $1,000 faucet? Go buy it yourself and they will install it for you. You have a Miehle oven and it needs to be replaced? AHS has GE and like quality brands - not Miehle. So.... know what you bought folks.
As an example: We have a solar hot water system. It's NOT COVERED. That includes my electric hot water tank - despite the fact that I have coverage for a hot water heater. Knowing that, I have an endorsement on my homeowner's policy because the solar systems are stupid expensive (of course, with a $500 deductible) for the likely event that it will someday go pear shaped. Same for plumbing outside the structure. There's a ""supply line"" endorsement for those items also available through most homeowner's policies. These endorsements are dirt cheap and cover the sewer main, water line from the street to the house, and your buried electrical supply lines.
So, in conclusion, and based on my experience, you need not have any trepidation about AM/PM Plumbing. Let the butterflies trapped in your stomach free.

BEWARE!! Adams D&R and AM PM Plumbing (at least their plumber Douglas) are scammers. One of my shower faucets was leaking. My home warranty company gave the job to AM PM. First they sent someone out with a meter and determined there was no leakage in the walls or floor. Their plumber, Douglas, comes out and decides he needs Anthony from Adams D&R to look at it. Anthony uses his meter and starts putting up blue tape everywhere, has me call my home insurance company and start a claim. He was very pushy with them wanting a claim number or adjusters name and info. But it was after 5 on Friday and they wouldn't assign one until Monday. He calls his office and then tells me they can start demolition the next day. I tell him NO! They keep calling and when I tell them I'm waiting for the adjuster he tells me they like to see you've started the work. NO THEY DON'T. Meanwhile I have a leaking water heater and another company comes out. They recommend someone else to check for water damage and they do the same meter reading and determine there isn't any water behind the walls or under the floor. I talked to the adjuster on Monday and canceled the claim. Apparently this is a common scam. I told Adams D&R the claim was denied so they have left me alone. Both of these companies have many BAD reviews. Steer clear of both of them!

Wow one of the worst and least professional experiences I have ever had. First the 2 hour window was stretched to 2.5 hours, then the Tech Brian showed up in his family SUV, not a company truck and looked to have no tools with him. He spent 5 minutes total including looking at the problem, but never looked at the pump that was the issue, said he would call in to get a new pump and authorization and I never heard from him or the company again. Before he left I ask him don't you need to pull the pump so you know what to order, and he said no. He told AHS there was no problem. It was clear Brian had no clue how to fix a sump pump and got out of it as quick as he could.

Through AHS, the serviceman came in to fix stoppage issue. The company did not have insurance to go to the roof, so he refers to AHS to transfer service. Besides this company cannot do basic clean out service, he lied to AHS that he tried to use snake to clean first but didn't go through, which is not true. He did not do anything, just came in for 5-minute diagnosis. This company is not honest. I reported to AHS not to use it. No one should call this company.

Yeah right! They insisted on charging us an extra $400 to do ""modifications"" on our water heater. The ""modification"" was to replace the intake lines and valve. Upon consulting two other licensed plumbers, we were informed that ampm was ripping us off because no modifications were needed at all.
We were stuck using ampm plumbing because it's one of the few vendors our home warranty will pay for. Total top off.

Do yourself a huge favor do not call this company for any services they have no problem with no call no show. They have so much home warranty work so they could care less whether you like them or not they offered a $150 discount if you put on a good review I preferred to pay the $150 and be honest with myself and tell you to run at the end of the day there's a million plumbing companies I'd rather have Melvin on my job then this company
