Called them several times to get estimates on the job. Never heard back! If you are in the plumbing business and customer calls you about the plumbing problem and you don't even return the call - that IS customer service too. Go someplace else for your plumbing needs!

Last Fall we were having well problems. AM sent a guy to see if he could fix it. The fellow was very nice and SEEMED to know what he was doing.
He determined that he ""thought"" the pressure tank was bad and needed to be replaced. He called the shop and asked it they had one (he was reasonable sure they did), but whoever he talked to said no. So the guy jumped into his truck and headed back to the shop. Mind you that I as PAYING for his trip here from the shop, back to the shop, back here, and back to the shop again.
The fellow who was here was VERY meticulous and worked painfully show. I guess you can't expect speed?!
So, he had it working (at least then, more on that later), and left. A month or so later I got the bill. Oh my God!! Just shy of $500 for 1.5 hrs of travel time, labor and for the new tank. The tank itself was $189. But an internet search said I could buy the EXACT SAME TANK ON Amazon for less than half of that.
So, I protested to AM plumbing. I stopped by the office and talked to a lady as well as left with her information about my internet search for the tank and protested that their 'price' was far higher than even retail.
She said she would talk to 'Adam'.
A few months later, I called again. The same lady said she would talk to Adam again, and in about a week I got an adjusted bill. The adjustment saved me over $80.
While still a lot of money, I felt vindicated!, and paid the bill.
During winter we had another problem with the well (see write-up for MAUSTON plumbing).
My advice, shop around and chose wisely. Read reviews and ask everyone you can think of before hiring a plumber. These folks know that they have little or no competition and conduct business that way.

We contacted AM Plumbing 1 week in advance for a plumbing inspection of a house we had an accepted offer on. The plumber Adam (the A in AM Plumbing, I believe) came 1 1/2 hrs late and was very rude. He was asking questions about the house we did not know (and realtor did not either) and very irritated and frustrated that he actually had to do his job and figure stuff out. When he went outside to look at the well/septic he could not physically see either because it had snowed the day before. He left to go talk to someone nearby who he had recently put in a new septic tank for. He came back and told us the septic/well must be too close together and therefore violated code and that the house must be in a flood plain. He ended up charging us over $350 (he never even saw the septic/well!). What a complete waste of money.
