Sean and Kristen were great! We had renters come in on Saturday and our HVAC unit went out on Sunday. We called them on Sunday afternoon and within 45 minutes Sean was there to inspect the unit. Our unit was not worth servicing so he came by the next morning with portable units until we could decide on a new unit. He came by every day until we decided on a particular unit and he even brought over his own personal portable unit to make sure our guests were comfortable! To say they go above and beyond is an understatement!

Made an appointment and the day of the appointment they asked to come at another time as they had an emergency repair at a restaurant. Me says no problem and sets another appointment. Never showed, never called. I stayed home all day on Saturday as they had a good excuse but they stiffed me anyway. Bad form, bad business. Never again

So, just a little background of my situation. I lived in NMB, SC and bought a townhouse and had to move away shortly after but i kept my place as a rental unit. Always Affordable installed my unit and redid everything in July of 2014. It was fine i had no issues with them or Shawn. Fast Forward to a couple of months ago, i had some issues with leaks from the attic from the unit up there which Shawn blamed on my tenants which probably was indeed their fault because they were very careless. Shawn claimed to have fixed the leak but once i was able to get down there it had not been fixed. But that's not even the troubling thing here. A week later my tenant calls me and is telling me my ac unit is freezing up. So I let Shawn know of it and he went back and inspected it. I was told that my tenant took something to it....say a hammer or something and he was beating the unit and it would no longer even turn on. Total system failure. So he insisted it would be cheaper for him to replace the unit in its entirety then to replace the compressor (which he also claimed was fried). He sent me an estimate of around 2200.00 to replace a 2 year old unit. He then called me telling me that i needed to go ahead and buy the unit and he would store it for me in his personal storage building until i was able to go through the process of getting my tenant out (because my tenant messed up my place pretty bad and i wasn't willing to fix anything until he was out). I politely declined and said i would figure out what i was going to do once i was able to get down there. So, my tenant is out and i'm finally able to get down there and inspect the damage. My place was indeed in pretty bad shape like Shawn had warned me about which i did appreciate the heads up but when i went outside to inspect the unit...i noticed that the breaker was off....I flipped the breaker back on and turned on the unit from the thermostat and it fired up just fine and cooled my place from 80 degrees to 70 in a very short time. After a few hours i did notice the line was frozen in the back of the unit. When me and Shawn had our 1st conversation about the unit i said """"if the line is frozen it probably just needs some Freon"""" and he went off on a tangent talking about how he was 99th percentile in his class and there could be so many other variables....whatever dude...so i had my father in law's brother who is a licensed hvac professional come down and confirm that it was simply low on Freon and a $40 defrost board was messed up but that was a quick and easy repair. So...either Shawn isn't as good at his job as he thinks he is (because i have no HVAC experience whatsoever to my name and my 1st thought was to check the breaker switch) or Shawn was preying on someone who is 4 hours away and had a tenant and thought he'd be able to get me over $2200. Neither is a trait i'd want to do any type of business with. I honestly anxiously await their rebuttal here because i have voicemails and texts saved of him literally begging me to go ahead and buy the new unit before i had a chance to get down there and see for myself. If you are a full time resident in the area, maybe they would be ok ( i doubt it), but if you have a rental i would stay as far away from this company as humanly possible.

I was referred to them by another company. They have been great at keeping promises and being timely. Happy with everything so far.

Do not sign a contract with Sean!!! He will not honor it!!!! He will lie & say he is coming to repair something & will not show up (repeatedly). I tried to get him to repair a broiler element at a rental. After numerous calls by me & promises by Sean to show up, I finally gave up & asked for my money to be refunded. He never called me back. I had paid for a 2 year contract in January. He also was supposed to do 2 maintenance checks a year, spring & fall. Nothing was done this spring. BEWARE!!!!!
