They are a horrible business and I would recommend that you avoid them. They came to do work at my home, and started trying to take advantage of me by upselling things and saying I needed other things fixed that I knew I didn't. They didn't even check everything before giving me an outrageous quote. I decided to get a second opinion and the other plumbers were able to fix the use free of charge and said there was no major issue. I called Alvarez plumbing back just to let them know I got the problem fixed. They were extremely rude because they knew I called them out on their scam. Again avoid them and go with a different plumber.

Alvarez Plumbing Service LLC-La Quinta, CA was referred through home warranty for kitchen faucet and stoppage issues. First of all good luck with on time scheduled appointments. Call 1 hour prior to scheduled appointment to cancel. Informed representative no one would be available the next day. Subsequently the technician showed up approximately 2 hours later. He appeared to be in a rush and didn't care about home warranty customers . Requested if I had a tool to adjust the faucet. He subsequently located his tools after turning the faucet around 360 with his hands. Exactly 1 week after the service call the faucet was loose and dripping water from the top of the counter around the faucet to under my sink. IF YOU ARE A HOME WARRANTY CUSTOMER I highly recommend you request a different vendor !!!!!!

This company is a rip off! The technician showed up to my house, spent 5 minutes to diagnose my water heater which by the way I told them what was wrong with it ( calcium segments built up causing a popping sound) which could be resolve by flushing the water heater. Charged me $90 to tell me exactly what I already knew and didn't do anything to fix it. I called them and asked why the technician didn't try to fix the issue and they said there was nothing they could do. I asked them why didn't he ""at least"" try to flush the water heater and they said it will be another visit and the charge will be $450.
I pretty much paid them $90 to do nothing and to tell me what I already knew. Thanks for the poor diagnosis and for doing nothing to fix the problem

Based on yelp reviews, i Asked these guys to install the kitchen plumbing in my newly renovated kitchen. Flawless, on time, followed covid guidelines, left the work area tidy. If you're a perfectionist, this is your crew. Thanks, Alvarez!

2020 has been one crazy year, so when our water heater broke we weren't a bit surprised. Thank goodness for Julian at Alvarez Plumbing he came out right away and in no time had the problem solved. This young man was professional and knowledgeable of the issue. Thank you Alvarez Plumbing for your assistance in making our year a little brighter.

Do yourself a HUGE favor and find another company now!

My insurance company sent these clowns to my house to fix a leak. Long story short... they created a whole other leak that didn't exist before they were here, then took almost 2 weeks to schedule me (which they canceled the appt 1 hr before scheduled time)

They canceled because they accidentally scheduled me with the wrong Department and didn't have the necessary parts to fix the original leak or the 2nd leak they created... they had almost 2 weeks to prepare for the appt and still didn't get the part they needed. SMH

Mind you... I rearranged my entire week to accommodate their availability just to be canceled on at the last minute! Then when I got upset they told me to find another pluming company to fix their screw up.

I do not understand how businesses like this stay in business. They're unorganized, unqualified, and rude!

Do yourself a favor and RUN!!!

This company works with the Home Warranty American Home Shield. They came on a Service call with $100 fee paid to American Home Shield. They wouldn't begin any diagnoses because they needed to hear from AHS (30 minute wait on the phone). This serviceman said if I paid $89.50 for him to diagnose the problem right then. He then showed me where my shower valve was dinged but didn't fix or diagnose the water heater leak in my detached garage. This serviceman told the AHS that it was a duplex when it is not. The serviceman then told me what do I expect owning a home in the middle of nowhere. Terrible customer service! The plumber doesn't tell the truth to the warranty company so they can get the work and the Warranty company doesn't have to pay anything, but I'm the one stuck with the bill!

These guys really saved me in a pinch! I had two backed up toilets in my rental house and my guests were panicking. Alvarez came right away and fixed everything for a great price - with no baloney or upsell. Life savers! Thanks, guys!

I usually do not review businesses having had my own business for years.
However, when a business does sub standard plumbing and when given the chance to correct the mistake refuses to do so unless they can charge again for the visit and parts....then I feel it is warranted to say...find a different plumbing contractor.
