The service technicians are knowledgeable and efficient. The office staff was professional and was able to get someone out to my house within 4 hours. Very impressed with their customer service and work ethic.

Unreliable and poor customer service. Called this morning and was given a time frame of 12-4 pm. Wiated the entire time for someone to show up. Never showed up because they said they called and didn't get an answer so they decided I must not be available and they took another emergency job. Never came to the property. Never said that they would be calling to confirm someone would be there or would not show. Could not have cared less about the inconvenience and waste of my time when I called Their only solution was that I could wait another four hours tomorrow. No thanks.

While installing a new toilet in our bathroom the flange broke and we are on a cement slab. My husband is a very handy guy and this would have been his 6th toilet install but he was at a loss about how to replace the flange in cement. We called Alvarez because our neighbor had used them and was happy with their work. Got an appointment for the next day, the tech called within the timeframe given to let us know he was on the way. He was very polite, discussed the different options for repairing the flange, we received a written quote to do the work. We signed the quote and the work was done in less than an hour. The tech was professional and courteous. My husband is very particular and does all of our home repairs and remodeling he was very pleased with the work. If he get stumped again we will call Alvarez.

On 1/02/18 I called Alvarez Plumbing; the well-experienced plumber they sent cleared two completely stopped drain lines, plus he laid down plastic first, plus he used a shop vac, and he cleaned up well when he was finished. One of the drain lines he cleared had been abandoned because a previous plumber was unable to clear it, so he then re-plumbed my drain pipes to run more efficiently by using it. He worked very hard for me, and later that evening he called to ask if everything was still okay. I'm very happy that I called Alvarez, and this was the second excellent experience I've had with them.

After weeks of continuously trying to fix a toilet clog the situation finally grew severe enough that we needed to call a plumber. Through the Brandon Chamber of Commerce we found Alvarez Plumbing and they sent out a technician the next day. The plumber who came out, George, exceeded our expectations. He was thorough with his work, explained it clearly to my husband and was courteous in our home. The next day I wasn't sure if the toilet was messing up again. Alvarez Plumbing has a 30 day guarantee on their repairs and George came out again (he did fix it correctly the first time, it was user error on my part). He completely backtracked his steps to ensure our pipes had been cleared and took the time to walk me through how our pipes worked so that I would have a better understanding. That REALLY impressed me. I rarely interact with specified-skill careers who can speak to me on my level of ignorant-home-owner. I paid a reasonable price, one time, to have excellent service that is guaranteed. As a home owner, that's a best case scenario.

Awful experience! The charge $200 to fix an issue and it was worse when they left. I asked for this to be repaired and Jay told me it would be 2 days to fix it. The kicker was he said """"we will do this with no extra charge."""" They have not been back out and escalating this to a manager for quality service is a complete joke. I was referred to this company and should of read reviews first. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE.

The least professional company I have encountered in all of the Tampa Bay area in the past 20 years. I called on Thursday to schedule a repair to my water heater (Alvarez had installed it 4 years ago). It was approximately 4:15 in the afternoon. The water heater had stopped working and I had no hot water. According to the user's manual - a specific part needed to be replaced. I provided the specific information to the woman who answered the phone. She informed me that they were closed, but she would pass the information on to a technician and they would call me either that evening or the next morning. I did not receive a call from anyone at Alvarez by 10:30 on Friday morning, so I called them again. I again explained the problem to the woman who answered the phone. She apparently had no record of my phone call from the previous day. She said they could have someone come and take a look at in on Monday or Tuesday. I said I don't have any hot water at all. She then said she would schedule someone to my house between 4:00 and 6:00 that afternoon. I received a call at 4:00 from someone identifying themselves as Ryan. I again explained the problem in detail to him, to include the specific part that needed to be replaced. He said he would be her in about one hour. At 6:51 that evening I received another call from an Alvarez employee (Francisco?). He said there had been a """"mix-up"""" in the work orders. He said he could send someone later that night or on Saturday. I told him to send someone on Saturday. I again explained the problem in detail and the specific part that was required. I asked him they had that part. He said they carried it on their trucks. He said they would arrive sometime after 12:00 noon on Saturday. At approximately 1:20 Saturday afternoon, I received a call from Joe. He said he was ready to check out my water heater. I then again explained what I had told other Alvarez employees 4 different times what the user manual said and what part was required. Despite what Francisco had said on Friday night, he informed me that they did not carry that part on their trucks, but he would check and see if their shop had it. He called back at approximately 1:50 to inform me that they did not have the part and would have to order it. I politely told him not to bother. In summary, information that I had provided multiple times was not passed on, appointment time was missed, incorrect information was provided to me and two days had transpired before they acknowledged they needed to order the part that the user's manual specified. Seem to me they are amateurs not pros. I'll find someone else.

We had to have our house repiped, something we were not expecting. We did a lot of research and had a number of estimates for the service. Alvarez was the best! From the initial phone call to the final services they were A+. I cannot say enough everyone was very helpful, knowledgeable and upfront with what to expect. They answered any and all questions and explained the process to us. Thanks Alvarez plumbing!

DO NOT hire this company. Their customer service is terrible and their plumbers are unprofessional. I called them to have someone come out and fix a broken toilet, and it took me a week to actually get an appointment scheduled. I called every day and was told that someone would call me the following day to schedule an appointment. No one ever called, and every time I called back it was as if they had never received a call from me at all. The only reason I did not call another company right away was that they had previously done work for me with no issues. Once I finally got a plumber (Joe C.) to come out, he was an hour late (and they give a four hour time window in the first place). He looked at the toilet and quoted me two different prices based on if anything was broken after the toilet was pulled that he could not see. Both prices seemed kind of high, but I wanted it fixed and he was kind of pushy. I initially told him to go ahead, but realized I was getting pushed around by the guy on a quote that seemed too high. Within two minutes of telling him to go ahead, I confirmed with him that nothing had been done yet and I asked him to not proceed because his quote seemed too high. He acknowledged my comment but then proceeded to pull the toilet off the seal (something he would have to charge for). I told him I had asked him to stop and he told me """"Well I'm going to have to charge you for that"""". I told him I was calling the company and he tried to storm off without putting the toilet back. Again this is something he did AFTER I told him to stop. When I called the company, the person answering the phone responded with """"Ugh, did he mess something up"""" when I told her who was sent for the plumbing job. Clearly this is a plumber they have problems with a lot. I was told a manager (Justin) would call to discuss this. He NEVER called. I called back several times and finally the phone was given to someone who was able to speak with me about the issue. He apologized that the toilet was pulled after I asked the plumber to stop and said I would not be charged. Two weeks later, I received a bill in the mail. I called to dispute and they did not charge me, but they were extremely rude about it. I was absolutely appalled at all levels of this interaction. From not being able to get a call back, to having a rude, pushy plumber who did not stop the job when I told him to (before he started), to having management be rude by not calling to resolve the issue and acting as though it was the customer's (my) fault. People in my neighborhood use to use Alvarez almost exclusively, but I have only seen one of their trucks in the past year there. Now I know why. I called another company the next day and they got someone out to my house the very next day and fixed the toilet for $155 cheaper.

Alvarez Plumbing provides excellent customer service. I had a quandary of a problem involving a water meter, irrigation system and well and they worked with myself and all involved contractors to get to the bottom of the problem and come up with a solution. Thank you so much and Kudos to David in the backflow department for sticking with this puzzle.
