Recommended Customer Reviews

I have been dealing with Alvarez plumbing for years. I always get good, timely service. Most recently I had two experiences in one week. My downstairs neighbor complained of leaks from my unit, thinking it might be a toilet leak because she found water on her toilet tank, which is situated in the same place as in my unit. The plumber sized up the situation and suspected the leak occurred in my unit from the shower, about three feet away from where the neighbor found water underneath me; the water had traveled via a slightly inclined subfloor. The man didn't have to rip out her ceiling or my tile. He figured that the shower head had a leak that leaked down the tile to where the on/off faucet is and got behind that piece and leaked down below. He made appropriate fixes based on his suspicion, and he was right. The leak stopped. A few days later, my very old water heater developed a leak, and I caught it before there was a flood. I asked Alvarez to accommodate my work schedule and send someone over with a new water heater after 6 p.m. The men showed up on time, replaced the water heater, completely cleaned up, and left a little after 9 p.m. I am a satisfied Alvarez customer. P.S. Seniors (65 and up) get 10% off. There is also an online coupon for $25 off a visit.

They replaced a kitchen sink, faucet, and garbage disposal. Plumbers were knowledgeable, kind, and very neat/cleaning up all of the mess. The caulking is impeccable. Also important these days - they were very mindful of Covid precautions. They were a bit pricey, but you get what you pay for. Highly recommend.

Excellent service, on time, evaluated and recommended repair.. reasonable price.. open 24/7.. used them 3 times with great satisfaction!!

Outstanding problem solutions. Older home, faucet issues, challenges matching. They did not jump to pull and replace. Newer fixtures aren't the quality and don't last as long. They took the extra time to research and identify the the correct items. Left the place incredibly clean - took significant care to not dirty the house. Polite, helpful, answered all my questions. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

My tenant called to say that the toilet was leaking from the bottom and the sink was backing up. I was out of town so I had to find someone to go review the issues and repair the problem. I got a few recommendations and called Alvarez. Rihanna answered the phone. She explained that they charge a $49 diagnostic fee, which is waived if you use them for the repair. I expressed that I was not comfortable with this idea. I had never used them before and I wasn't sure if they would just give me an outrageous price. Rihanna empathize with me, waived the potential fee because I was a first time customer and got me a same day appointment. She was lovely. Then about 2 hours later Ryan arrived at the property. He was awesome. After assessing the situation, he gave me a fair quote and did the job while keeping in contact with me. I am happy with the service I received and will use Alvarez Plumbing for my future emergency plumbing needs.

Michael was here about an hour after I called, and he took care of my clogged toilet. Thank you for the great service!

Alvarez Plumbing provides excellent customer service. I had a quandary of a problem involving a water meter, irrigation system and well and they worked with myself and all involved contractors to get to the bottom of the problem and come up with a solution. Thank you so much and Kudos to David in the backflow department for sticking with this puzzle.

DO NOT hire this company. Their customer service is terrible and their plumbers are unprofessional. I called them to have someone come out and fix a broken toilet, and it took me a week to actually get an appointment scheduled. I called every day and was told that someone would call me the following day to schedule an appointment. No one ever called, and every time I called back it was as if they had never received a call from me at all. The only reason I did not call another company right away was that they had previously done work for me with no issues. Once I finally got a plumber (Joe C.) to come out, he was an hour late (and they give a four hour time window in the first place). He looked at the toilet and quoted me two different prices based on if anything was broken after the toilet was pulled that he could not see. Both prices seemed kind of high, but I wanted it fixed and he was kind of pushy. I initially told him to go ahead, but realized I was getting pushed around by the guy on a quote that seemed too high. Within two minutes of telling him to go ahead, I confirmed with him that nothing had been done yet and I asked him to not proceed because his quote seemed too high. He acknowledged my comment but then proceeded to pull the toilet off the seal (something he would have to charge for). I told him I had asked him to stop and he told me """"Well I'm going to have to charge you for that"""". I told him I was calling the company and he tried to storm off without putting the toilet back. Again this is something he did AFTER I told him to stop. When I called the company, the person answering the phone responded with """"Ugh, did he mess something up"""" when I told her who was sent for the plumbing job. Clearly this is a plumber they have problems with a lot. I was told a manager (Justin) would call to discuss this. He NEVER called. I called back several times and finally the phone was given to someone who was able to speak with me about the issue. He apologized that the toilet was pulled after I asked the plumber to stop and said I would not be charged. Two weeks later, I received a bill in the mail. I called to dispute and they did not charge me, but they were extremely rude about it. I was absolutely appalled at all levels of this interaction. From not being able to get a call back, to having a rude, pushy plumber who did not stop the job when I told him to (before he started), to having management be rude by not calling to resolve the issue and acting as though it was the customer's (my) fault. People in my neighborhood use to use Alvarez almost exclusively, but I have only seen one of their trucks in the past year there. Now I know why. I called another company the next day and they got someone out to my house the very next day and fixed the toilet for $155 cheaper.

Our toilet valve stopped working and our sink was clogged. The company responded extremely quickly to my online request and had someone out the same day! Joe Martinez did a fantastic job in performing the work and walked us through the fixes when he was done. Would definitely recommend Alvarez Plumbing and Joe Martinez!

I had Alvarez plumbing come to my home to replace a water shut off valve. Unfortunately due to some technical problems with the community plumbing we had to delay the repair. I was quoted a price of $275.00 to do the work. I paid the service charge since they did show up to do the original repair and they said to call them when I was ready to do the repair. Well I called and now the same repair is $500.00. Yea right.....never again will I call Alvarez Plumbing.
