Alton Combustion offers the servicing and installation of burners, boilers, pressure piping, and all associated equipment across a 100-mile radius of the Fort Wayne area. We serve government agencies, schools/universities, churches, commercial enterprises, and industrial clients.

Founded in 1971, Alton Combustion is a family-owned and operated business. Ray Herman and his brother Ed started Alton Combustion Inc. in March 1971 operating out of a two-car garage on a farm north of Ossian, IN. For a period of nine months, they continued in the garage as they built and expanded the business. As the business flourished, they relocated to a larger facility covering 2,400 square feet in Fort Wayne. In January 1988, they shifted the company to its present site in Fort Wayne, featuring a 12,000 sq ft shop and a 6,400 sq ft storage building.

The business has remained its family-run nature, priding itself on quality work and customer satisfaction. We offer the installation and maintenance of burners, boilers, pressure piping, and complementary equipment throughout a 100-mile radius of the Fort Wayne area. We cater to government agencies, schools/universities, churches, commercial enterprises, and industrial clients.

Alton Combustion is a family-owned business. Founded in 1971 by Ray Herman, who is the father of Terry and Tony. Terry and Tony joined Alton during their high school years and have learned a wealth of knowledge from their father and through years of practice. They are teaching their sons, who are now part of the Alton workforce.
