Alternative Services is a full-service Maintenance Handyman company, delivering a diverse selection of Residential and Business solutions. We offer carpentry work, plumbing services, and wiring. Additionally, we handle outside repairs, such as deck restoration, fence repair, screen door repairs, patio door installation, siding, pothole filling, ADA signs, and markers, among others. I started my journey in 1983. In my 30 years of experience, I have developed expertise in woodworking, drywall, pipe work, electrical, tile installation, acoustical ceilings, deck construction, and fences, including wood and metal doors, and more.

In the last decade, I served as a supervisor for a large-scale company, overseeing all administrative tasks. This experience, I learned understanding into the business side of a company.

With my background in both the labor side and the management side, I realized to start my own venture and bring back quality, integrity, reliability, and affordability to the industry.

I started working in construction on weekends, helping on roofs with my family. After graduating high school, I started with a contracting company as a laborer, carrying drywall.

A few years later, I came across a job opportunity in the paper for carpentry positions, experience not required. While I didn’t mind carrying drywall, I was eager to expand my knowledge in the construction field. I took the opportunity and got the job. At Elk Head Construction, I learned framing walls, hanging drywall, taping drywall, door installation, soundproof ceiling installation, and all aspects of carpentry.

After some time, I decided to gain experience in something new, so I joined with an independent firm installing ceramic and vinyl floor and wall tile. We also worked on windows and vinyl siding on homes.
