Alternative Services is a full-service Maintenance Handyman company, offering a variety of Home and Business solutions. We provide woodworking, plumbing services, and Electrical. In addition, we manage outside repairs, including deck restoration, fence restoration, screen door repairs, patio doors, siding repairs, potholes, accessible signage, and markers, and more. I started my journey in 1983. Over the past 30 years, I have acquired knowledge in woodworking, drywall, pipe work, electrical, tile installation, acoustical ceilings, decks, and fence building, along with door installation, and more.

Recently, I served as a project manager for a significant company, overseeing all office procedures. During this time, I acquired understanding into the operational aspects of a company.

Combining my experience in both the labor side and the business side, I realized to open my own venture and reintroduce quality, integrity, trust, and value to the market.

My journey in construction started on weekends, assisting on roofs with my family. After graduating high school, I started with a commercial contractor as a worker, transporting drywall.

Some time after, I found a job listing in the paper for carpenters, training provided. Even though I was okay with carrying drywall, I was eager to expand my knowledge in the construction field. I responded and landed the job. At Elk Head Construction, I mastered wall framing, drywall installation, taping and finishing drywall, installing doors, acoustical ceilings, and all aspects of carpentry.

After some time, I opted to explore something new, so I joined with an independent contractor for tile installation of ceramic and vinyl floor and wall tile. Additionally, we worked on windows and vinyl siding on houses.
