Alt installed a tankless water heater for us 5-7 years ago. It has been running smoothly ever since.
Yesterday, our family returned home after an 8 day vacation. The fridge needed some purging, and, in the process, my husband put some old rice & shredded chicken down the disposal. The double sinks backed up. We have had similar experiences, and have been able to clear it up ourselves, as the clog was local, in the pipes right below the sink, Not this time! After approximately 9 hours of DIY attempts, including two trips to Home Depot, & installing a new garbage disposal (because the current one sprung a leak in the process), we literally threw in the towel!
Travis arrived within the quoted time frame, quickly summed up the situation, and went to work. Thankfully, it was an easy fix. Putting too much stuff down the disposal, after a week of our plumbing being only minimally used during the pet sitter visits created a soft clog 30 or so feet from the sink on the way to the main line. He was able to snake the line and resolve the clog within 30-35 minutes of arriving. He also educated me on other things we could check and attempt if we encounter a similar situation in the future!
