if you want a plumber a s not a sales person, us al. knowledge and will do everything possible before going nuclear on a project because things cost a lot. i really appreciate that as a landlord. thank you al.

fyi- this isn't the first time i've used him. been using him for 5 years and wouldn't use anyone one else.

We have an old house in Boise that had a mysterious blockage. Al came and worked diligently to figure out and fix the problem, but telling us we probably needed to replace a line in the future. We then blocked it up about 6 months later. He helped us again, but let me know how to correct the issue ourselves until we decided to pony up the money to break concrete and permanently fix the plumbing. This was over a year ago.

Recently, I bumped into him at a restaurant during his lunch break and he talked with my husband and I for 15 minutes DURING HIS LUNCH BREAK about our house issue (now that we're planning to truly fix it). He not only remembered the house and it's issues, but recommended the best way to go about figuring out how to get the repair done cheaper by doing some of the work ourselves.

I do not know what the review from Calvin S. was about because Al has never been anything other than courteous and helpful. He's never been intimidating or nasty, perhaps because I understand plumbing can be expensive and I've been respectful and courteous. You reap what you sow.

Al is great and I recommend him to anyone who wants an honest plumber that cares about excellent customer service.

I was charged $159 to replace a hot water supply valve knob and $24.10 for a mismatching part--valve knob for a grand total of $183.10. The time spent on the job was approximately 15 minutes, including invoice preparation time. The owner of the business, Al Hernandez, was very intimidating, nasty in conversation with me, and when I called 1 1/2 hours later about my concerns he hung-up on me. He did not provide me with an estimate before starting the job. He exhibited very bizarre customer behavior. He does not offer either a senior nor military discount. Mr. Hernandez is a very unethical and shyster person. Finally, he is a pathological liar and a perfect example of a rip-off artist.
I would think twice before using his services because he is not a good person and would most likely overcharge you for substandard work performed.

Al is a top notch individual. An honest, caring professional, and a kind, thoughtful person. When my rental house had a hard-to-find and rather destructive water leak he was quick to make time to go look for it, and found the source of the leak before anyone else could. He also did all the subsequent repairs quickly and for a fair price. I whole heartedly recommend him!
