I just moved to a condo which needed some work. I found Al's on Yelp and couldn't be happier. It took a while because there were lots of little things that needed fixing, but they were very professional and the price was excellent. I will definitely use Al's Handyman again and again!

Had to call Al again last night. My bathroom sink had a slow water clog that Liquid Plumr could not cure. But here comes Al to my rescue again! I called and he was super busy on a big job but still managed to come by around 9:30 pm. Within 15 minutes he was in and out! He's such a PRO! He knows exactly what to do and gets in there and does just what the job needs! He is soooooo nice and affordable. He's the ONLY plumber I will call!

I've been using Al (thanks Yelp) for all random household repairs. He is friendly, efficient, honest, punctual and reasonable. He works for himself and really cares about doing a good job. He always seems willing to go the extra mile to make you happy. Only complaint is lately he has become so popular that his schedule isn't as flexible as it used to be. Call early!

Al was easy to work with and provided a reasonable quote. We needed some stucco fixed on our building and unfortunately, they did make a mess doing the stucco. Al sent someone out right away to clean it up.

I signed up for Yelp just so that I could write a review for Al.

I had a showerhead from the 1970's that rusted through and fell off of the wall. I thought about trying to sweat the pipe on myself but I had no idea what I was doing and felt ambivalent about potentially burning my house to the ground. I called Mr. Rooter and they charged me $65 just to come over (on the second appointment, no less, having stood me up the first time) and quote me an $800 repair job. You can buy a lot of beer with $800. So that was out.

In my hour of despair, I turned to Yelp. And Yelp sent me Al. He and his friend showed up with everything we needed (and even called the morning of to confirm), completely and perfectly fixed my shower, DID NOT set fire to my house as I surely would have, and were awesome, friendly and very knowledgeable guys.

Did I mention he charged me $125? Yes, for essentially 1/8 of what Mr. Rooter wanted to charge me (and not even that much more than what I foolishly paid just to get their estimate), Al did the job perfectly and was a great guy also.

There's no downside here. Unless you enjoy paying 5-10 times more than you need to for the subpar service and indifference of a stupid plumbing company, you owe it to yourself to call Al and save time, money and stress. His skills don't stop at plumbing, either: he can basically fix everything you own up to and including your computer.

Seriously. Call Al. He's that good.

Five reasons to call Al:

1. Super-professional
2. Extremely punctual (he said he was coming at noon and he was downstairs at 11:45am, waiting for it to be noon before buzzing me)
3. Speaks excellent English
4. Respectful (i.e. if you're a girl at home alone, you can call him)
5. Excellent work! He can do anything around your house! He does plumbing, tiling, anything you need. So, no calling around to five different companies. Just call Al.

I had a severly clogged kitchen sink. I called Al and he came that same day. He was polite and thorough and was more than eager to help me with a couple of quick fixes around the house. I've used plumbers and other handymen around LA. I will definately go back to Al with any needs. Best service at the best price I've seen.

Al is fantastic. He fixed everything from plumbing to doors to lighting. He arrived on time and did a great job at a reasonable price. He is very knowledgable and helped me out BIG TIME in a very difficult work environment. I can't recommend him more highly. Competent, low cost, and very kind!

I would highly recommend these guys to anyone and will use them again in the future.
I had accidently locked my room door one night and I didn't want to wait for a locksmith to get here so I tried opening it myself by kicking the door. I guess I kicked a little too hard and busted the side of the door.
I called Al's Handyman Service and explained what it looked like and he quoted me 85-100 bucks. Came the next day when he said he would and did an amazing job. The door looks brand new, everyone was very friendly, professional and cleaned up after. They charged exactly what the quoted, $85.00.
