In addition, we install hot water heaters, sump pumps, and generators to keep your family secure and comfortable.

Alpine is a family-owned business with a rich history spanning four generations. For decades, we have excelled in heating, cooling, plumbing, fireplaces, and sheet metal fabrication right here in New Jersey.

Art Staloff founded Alpine in 1972, offering air conditioning, heating, custom ductwork, and hot water heaters, and has since become the leading provider in Central NJ with over 40,000 satisfied customers.

In 2009, we expanded our services to include generators, ensuring our customers have the safety, comfort, and protection they need regardless of the weather.

As a full-service provider, Alpine specializes in delivering comfort for your home and your wallet. Growing up in a family business specializing in sheet metal fabrication and walk-in refrigeration, Arthur developed a passion for the trade. Arthur found joy in learning how things worked, tackling challenges, and enjoying the outdoors. After graduating from the New Jersey Institute of Technology with a degree in Electrical Engineering, Arthur worked for ITT Kellogg on military communication systems and later for RCA Advanced Technology group designing spacecraft control systems.

In 1972, Arthur founded Alpine from his garage, driven by his passions. Today, Alpine operates from an 11,000 square foot facility, has 19 vehicles, employs almost a dozen people, and has thousands of satisfied clients.

These folks are the best! They come when you call them, they are easy to contact, they return calls quickly and they always show up for their appointments. We have been customers for the 25+ years we have lived in our home and they have serviced, replaced and worked on our heating and air conditioning units. Love working with them.
They send the same person out to service for our annual contract so I never have to interrupt work to show them where things are and how to get to them, that is a huge bonus in my book!

Our AC broke on a Sunday night during a heat wave. Less than 24 hours later it was fixed and serviced. They are prompt, professional and very skilled and knowledgeable. The office staff is polite and responsive. Turned out the unit, which they had installed 12 years ago, needed some parts and refrigerant, which had leaked. The technician even did a quick check of the furnace. Very pleased with their service. We wouldn't use anyone else.

Positive AC Service experience to share... I'll make this short... last year, after competitive comparisons, I had Alpine Refrigeration replace my upstairs unit. I was very happy with the service and fair price. Last week I got a new WiFi enabled downstairs thermostat... installed it myself, couldn't get power to it. AC is too important, so I called up Alpine...they were just here... within minutes of them being here, they got the new thermostat running, then gave me an AC health check and charged me the basic service call charge. I am pleased that that I can consider Alpine trustworthy.

We have used Alpine several times over the past few years for AC issues, and they are always prompt, courteous and reasonable with pricing. Our most recent experience was on Saturday, when it was 96 degrees and expected to hit 100 on Sunday. Of course, that is when the AC goes out. We called Saturday night about 8pm, received a call back early Sunday, and by Sunday afternoon they had not only come to analyze the problem, but fixed it on the spot, all for a very reasonable cost.

They are now our 'go to' HVAC company--when its time to replace our existing AC unit and/or furnace, they will be the first (and only) call I make.

I've been a customer for over 20 years and they have never disappointed me. The techs are so knowledgeable, polite, and I never feel like I'm being taken advantage of or ripped off. They arrive on time or earlier and they always call 20 minutes before arriving. I would never call anyone else!

Excellent service. I have had an annual contract with them ever since we bought out house in East Brunswick in 2015. Even the prior owners had been using them for several years. Very professional. In the recent summer, our motor of the Air Conditioner got burnt and it was extremely hot in the house. I called Alpine and their technician came over in a few hours. Further, after inspection, he immediately brought a new motor and replaced in just a few hours.

thanks

As luck would have it, during the hottest day of the year our home air conditioner began blowing hot air. Called Alpine and they scheduled a service call. As promised, their technician Brian arrived the next morning. He quickly checked the refrigerant pressures, found them OK, then diagnosed that the problem was a blown capacitor on our Trane condenser unit. He had one on the truck, installed it, and our air conditioner up and running within a half hour. Overall we found Alpine's service to be honest, courteous and professional. Highly recommend!

I've been an Alpine customer since 1975. Alpine is a remarkable example of a small business model (regardless of industry) that other businesses would be smart to emulate. It's astounding, how they continue to flourish given accelerated market threats, market opportunities and government regulations. They also figured out how to stay more than relevant even with rapidly changing technologies, suppliers and price, along with the active consolidation of small companies by the behemoths (e.g. public utilities, big-box).

Their secret sauce is their founding principles of authentic commitment to customer perceived value and continuing to grow/train their exceptional technical service folks.

Congratulations on achieving and sustaining your founding vision. Well done!
--------------------------My Alpine History------------------------------------------------

I moved to NJ in 1975 and began an immediate search for the best services providers
(e.g. MDs, HVACs, Auto Mechanics). I have extremely high standards in terms of quality, price, customer focus and ethics. Furthermore, because of my professional background as a senior consultant for IBM, I am very detailed and fact oriented.

All houses in my development had been built 15 years earlier with ducts for forced-air heating only. I brought 3 specialist contractors to evaluate installing AC using the existing ducts. Art Staloff (the owner of Alpine Refrigeration, founded 1972) was the only contractor whose assessment seemed credible and reasonably priced and then proved to be absolutely true.

Over a 41 span, I've exclusively used Alpine for all my HVAC needs and most recently a
whole-house generator. I've also taken advantage of their well-priced and high-value
pre-season service agreements

We called them to repair AC. They did not have the right fan so they just installed what was in their truck. 30 mins after they left, the AC was out again. Came back the next day, said it was a ""loose wire"" and it should be fine. 30 min later, out again. Finally, someone who actually knew something about AC told us they put in a motor with 12 times more horsepower than our unit required and it was shorting out due the heat generated by the incorrect motor. We had to wait 4 days, over the 90 degree weekend, for them to get the right part in. We have been a customer for heating and air conditioning over the years...NEVER AGAIN!

Strange company, they came and gave me cost estimate that was very reasonable. However, in spite of repeated calls trying to schedule an appointment. They never return a phone call.
