I needed a handyman quickly when lots of small items needed attention when preparing to install new carpet. I reached out to a bunch of providers and Alphabet was the only one that could respond as quickly as I needed and address all the items I wanted. Zack and Kia (sp?) were a pleasure to work with. They addressed everything I had requested and addressed other items - - gates that wouldn't close, outdoor light that wouldn't light, carried a couple awkward items down our steep narrow staircase-- I thought of when they were here. I'm about to call them now that the carpet is installed for more tasks. They will be my handyman to go to in the future. Highly recommended.

Hired Zack and Ty for multiple handyman projects.

One of the biggest job's was re-sheeting my Dad's storage shed. Once they emptied the entire shed, they found most of the structure was compromised by termites. California, go figure.. anyway it was soon apparent the entire shed would need to be rebuilt (except the roof) and was a bigger job than anyone expected. Hold on.. this is going to take a change order for the additional work and Zack was very upfront about the additional cost and materials. What a huge can of termites.

They did a fantastic job and even matched the horizontal siding of the house keeping inline with design. Check out the before and after photo's.

They changed out a few ceiling fans upgraded to more energy efficiency and swapped out electrical outlets from tan to white.

This review is 3 months late, but still well-deserved.
Zack and Kai were both awesome in helping us disassemble, move, and reassemble a very large, unique, and custom cabinet during our move from Palo Alto to San Francisco.
This cabinet was supposed to have been moved by our movers, but the moving company brought one person less (the person supposed to disassemble and reassemble this cabinet), so we spent a few days trying to find a Handyman who had experience with moving Murphy Beds as this cabinet was built on a murphy bed frame. When screening Handyman candidates, I was asking about their experience in disassembling Murphy Beds, and Zack gave a clear explanation of how he would disassemble such furniture safely.
I proposed a full-day rate for the job, and Zack gave a reasonable flat rate for the entire job. Instead of one full day, Zack and Kai came on a Saturday afternoon to disassemble, and advised me to rent a Home Depot truck (cheaper than U-Haul) to transport the pieces on Sunday morning, and the truck costed me less than $80 for only 3 hours rental time.
The cabinet was a unique Japanese tea ceremony room, which can fold up into a wall cabinet. There are only 2 of these built in the world, and we have one of them. It's rather big and heavy, and can only be transported with disassembly.
Zack and Kai were extremely careful and wrapped all the pieces carefully in plastic and blankets to keep everything safe. They thought about many more details than I did - e.g. making lifting handles on the largest piece, letting the pieces rest on their feet instead of on the ground when moving them to the truck, etc.
Even when we arrived in SF the next morning with all the parts, they carefully assembled everything perfectly, securing the cabinet to the wall studs, centered between the wall outlets to avoid blocking anything on the wall.
They did such a great job that I asked if they could help with 4 other small jobs in the Palo Alto house that were left over from other handyman and installers who could not complete their jobs - replacing a door handle, installing a water line valve for our new refrigerator, installing a 220V outlet for the new range, and installing safety clips on our new hot tub cover. For the door handle, I had bought a replacement handle from Home Depot, but Zack noticed it was the wrong type and he went out and bought the correct version from a hardware store to install for us.
Zack quoted a flat fee to do all 4 items on Sunday afternoon, right after finishing the wall cabinet installation, and all of that was completed cleanly within the same day. Each day Zack also sent me photos of all the items completed so I could see the result remotely.
This was the best Handyman Service I've ever had! Thank you Zack and Kai!

Zack was super helpful. Provided a reasonable estimate and helped replace a bathroom exhaust fan motor assembly. In addition, he helped replace a outlet switch combo, but I was grateful he was patient and let me run to home depot for parts. He also helped us with a air duct ceiling register vent that wouldn't screw in. The problem was there was nothing the screw could bite into behind the drywall. With a bit of McGuyver, he managed to get it fixed without needing to do some serious. Very friendly and I'll definitely be reaching out to him for future projects!

Zach provided an initial estimate and schedule. When he had to move the original time, he let me know early enough that it was not an issue, and was even open to adjusting it slightly so we could avoid waking our napping baby.

He wore a mask the entire time he was working, even outside, which is something I haven't seen others do during the Pandemic, and he took off his shoes while working inside, even though I said it was not an issue to leave them on. He as very courteous and accommodating.

The project itself went pretty smoothly. He put a coax cable wallplate on our wall without an issue. When it came to installing the TV on a wall mount, it seemed like there was in issue with our wall, but he dealt with it in a quick and professional manner, and the TV was up in no time! We even took into account the placement of a larger TV in the future when it came to placement.

Overall a very professional job and a courteous person.
