I highly recommend Alpha Trenchless. I got five estimates to have my sewer lateral replaced. I researched and asked lots of questions, which Alpha (Esperanza) promptly answered. Some companies insisted they would have to do four excavations, including in my driveway. But Alpha Trenchless did just two, one at the house and one at the street. Their estimate was written with clear language. They coordinated with all utility companies and scheduled all inspections. During the job, they attended to every detail and left my property exactly how it was before they'd arrived. Plus, everyone was extremely nice.

One factor that I didn't fully appreciate was the unpredictable costs to patch the street. It turns out that the city public works department determines this cost, which can't be determined until the end of the job. In my case, it was pricy.

That being said, the final costs from Alpha Trenchless were still the lowest of my five estimates. Of Note: Three different Novato inspectors told me that they do great work, so I'm confident that the final product is high quality.

A bit long but content and context are important...Our sewer lateral started having issues in March of this year. We had it cleared by a great company, American Sewer and Drain (Efrain). Unfortunately we had to have Efrain come out 3 more times over the next 6 months. On the last visit (Sept.) he brought his camera and showed us that the lateral line was crushed to about 1/3 it's normal size. He tried to connect us with a plumber to fix it but it didn't work out. After a deep-dive into 'Qualified' lateral repair companies Alpha Trenchless was the best choice.

The owner, Esperanza, returned my call the same day and that is when 'the magic' began to happen. She schedule Javier to come and provide a quote the next day. He spent several hours at our house analyzing the issue, including using his camera in a secondary cleanout and inspecting the lateral in the crawlspace in order to provide an accurate no-cost quote. It looked like a one day job but they were booked out 3 weeks. I told him my wife was having surgery next week and that it would be a nightmare dealing with the lateral every few days. When he left he promised to try and do it sooner if at all possible.

We received a quote and a call from Esperanza that they could do the job in one day the following week. We accepted what was a fair price. I can't say enough about Esperanza, Javier and the crew that came to our home early in the morning and worked all day. They were all very friendly, professional and hard working. They dug out the area around the cleanout and a bit under a section of our front porch, carefully moving several plants and shrubs, and proceeded to do what they do best...replace a 10' section of lateral that had been crushed by a 6-8"" tree root. I periodically checked progress and they always explained the process and the stage they were at.

When they said they were finished I checked the area and jokingly asked: 'when are you going to start?' The area that had been a 3 foot square hole in front of our home was gone; it looked exactly the same as it did before they started the work. Amazing. Great company, great job and great people. If you are in need of this type of work, Alpha Trenchless is your company.

There are a lot of plumbing companies with good ratings but if you read the reviews in full, you will see issues that should cause you to think twice. After reading all of Alpha's reviews I was convinced that they were the only choice. I was right, they are an exceptional company that did a great job and provided exceptional service. They clearly set the Standard! 5 STARS

This review is overdue since we had our main line replaced by Alpha over a year ago - but I want to give credit where credit is due! We had a broken, galvanized main line that was gushing water in front of our house....in the height of the pandemic. We called out various plumbers who gave us ridiculous quotes and could not stop the water gushing from our house until we agreed to a big project. We then called Alpha! They came out on a Saturday, immediately stopped the gushing water and promptly put in a trenchless main line with no need to rip up our driveway and landscaping.

It was truly a lifesaver. I highly recommend there services!

One of the best experiences I've had with contractors in Mill Valley. I contracted Alpha Trenchless to replace our sewer lateral in MV. We had reached out to three companies and from three quotes, theirs was right in the middle. We chose them because they were punctual, organized and their staff had great attitudes. Ours was a pretty big project and I was concerned it might take a few days to get this done. Luckily Alpha came prepared, they brought five crew members and all of the necessary equipment to finish the project in ONE DAY. I couldn't believe it! Javi and Juan were complete professionals the entire time. They kept me informed of what they were working on and why they were doing what they were doing. If we have any other plumbing needs we're calling Alpha Trenchless first.

I engaged Alpha Trenchless to repair and replace my sewer lateral. They were, for the most part accommodating at the outset and did replace the pipe, which seems to now be draining properly. However, I cannot give them a good review because we had some disagreements, and their behavior in response was rude, bullying, and offensive.

My situation was perhaps a bit unique because the damage to my pipe was near the main in the street, and it was agreed that perhaps this was not my fault, and perhaps it was the fault of a utility company that had recently done work in the area. The City of Novato had agreed to consider compensation if they could see photographs of the damage. I thus spoke to the owner of Alpha Trenchless, and we agreed verbally that he (the owner) would take photographs of the damage for my use. This did not seem to be a problem, but upon doing the work, they chose to take an alternate route to the main, which meant they could not take the photos. Rather than calling me and informing me of this decision or asking what I might want to do, they just did their work and covered the hole, completing the project.

The problem is that now I did not have photos. When I mentioned this, the owner was defensive and aggressive. He did not seem concerned at all about our previous agreement, nor did he seem to care that I would not have the opportunity to address compensation with the City of Novato. On the contrary, he was, as I said, defensive and threatening, if not abusive.
