When you're looking for a plumber there are a lot of big outfits that feature huge ads with big raves and letters, but when you call for an appointment, it's obvious that you are not talking to one of the owners, and that whoever they send you might not be an expert or even properly trained, and has little investment in whether or not the job is done correctly. Alpha and Omega is an exception, in that it is a local family operation that takes pride in workmanship and is concerned that the job is done correctly and on time. When you call for help, it is likely you will speak directly to one of the Fords who own the operation, and who are sincerely dedicated to satisfying the customer. The dripping faucet that was creating a constant murky mess in the drains was soon repaired, and the technician apologized for the high price--but it was, indeed, the cost of the Delta product itself that was passed on to me, not just the standard service call; I highly recommend this dedicated, essential and amiable Red Bluff business!

I rarely leave bad reviews as someone has to do quite a bit to warrant them. Alpha & Omega warranted such a review. Let's start from the beginning. We called them out to look at a leak involving my great grandmother's septic. They came out, started on the work. They had a few mishaps, one of their workers ran the pipe entirely wrong and had to redo all of it. This seems pretty insane but it is what it is. Calls were made between him and the boss, the boss was clearly pissed. Berated said employee close to us so we got to hear how he should know better by now. This seemed bad. They had the toilet disconnected from the septic so my grandmother did not want to use the toilet yet they left it like that for over a month. Before leaving the day of this mishap, they told my 87 year old grandmother that with the weather they needed to wait for a few dry days. This seemed acceptable, and we tried to be patient. A week went by, then two, then three, as well as many dry days. Calls were made, they did not show up. After a month I called and told them if they did not come to finish the job they would be out the money and I would go with someone else as my grandmother was very stressed over the entire thing. So this prompted them to get over right away. They took a few more days and finished the job. They also installed a new air vent for the toilet and a cover for the septic. What a relief, I thought. I was pissed with how they handled this and the fact they charged $1800 for this work that took over a month to get done. I let it go and went about the next chunk of time. We noticed a leak in the roof of the house and called a roofer this last week. When he got up there he immediately noticed the new vent. Hey, who ran this vent and why? He asked. Oh they did that for the toilet, Alpha & Omega. He then proceeded to tell us they did it entirely wrong. They should have apparently put the vent shield under so many layers of roof shingles yet they didn't. This in turn left the roof vulnerable to leaking. This was not the place of the primary leak but this was not OK. They literally took over a month to do the job, did a half assed job on a lot of it, then didn't even put the vent in up to code. I will not ever recommend them to anyone.

Alpha and Omega was referred to me by a major hardware store. Now I know why. I called Charlie and told him I may need a new swamp cooler. I thought I was going to be spending a fortune. Charlie came out prepared to fix before replace and instead got my existing swamp cooler ruining like a champ!! He saved me a fortune!! His prices are far less than others that simply give you high bids. Charlie charged me what it took to get the job done. Honest and professional.
