My mom called ALP due to dampness seeping through a common wall with a neighbor. They inspected and found mold/mildew and recommended immediate remediation. Tim was the person who came and they discussed that the water was coming from the neighbors side and he said he would talk to the neighbor and also send him an invoice. (He never gave the neighbor an invoice or estimate).

Upon doing the remediation, ALP discovered dampness/mold/mildew in two additional rooms so the quote more than doubled.

ALP completed the remediation and then gave me another quote for repairing the damage done to the rooms--including replacing drywall, baseboards, etc. This quote was extremely high and upon checking it closely, I discovered that their measurements of one of the rooms was over triple the actual size of the room. They said it was a ""typo"" and adjusted the quote down by $5000! Since the quote was still extremely high, I contacted another company for a quote to repair the damage and their price was less than 1/3 of ALP's.

We were happy with the work done for the mold remediation--it was handled quickly and efficiently.

ALP is the best! They are a full-service company and you can count on them for 24-hour emergencies. I was referred to them from a neighbor who couldn't say enough good things. Tim came to do a leak test when we noticed a water puddle on our kitchen floor. He did a comprehensive analysis and did not charge for the leak test. In this case it happened to be a leak from our fridge. One year later I called back for another issue but this time water was coming from a crack in the floor. Tim and his crew did the necessary work to dry down the floor and replace a tile that was loose. We ended up having a slab leak and the work crew replaced our floor. They worked with our home owners insurance company which saved us from paying out of pocket. ALP is no-nonsense and got the job done in a quick and timely manner without hassle. ALP is the company who you should hire. They are honest and knowledgeable and I liked that they were clean and always on time. I am a customer who holds companies to a high standard and ALP plumbing is the best!

This company suffers from an unprofessional attitude about the way they conduct their business. Their approach to leak and restoration work is tear everything apart, put blowers in place for days on end, that resulted in further damage to walls and cabinets. Their personnel are rough in their handeling of ones property and creating additional damage which they have no thought about rectifying or repairing. Their clean-up and remodel work leaves alot to be desired!
Upon job completion; they want to overcharge for work completed, not compensate owner for damages by their personnel and then want to file a mechanics lien on owner for expenses deducted to repair damages by their personnel.
Hire ALP Restoration and Tim Thornton only if you want a long delayed unprofessional job that requires additional vendors to complete!

This company deserves no stars, but they get one because as plumbers they're good . But the restoration part I totally don't recommend them. They took over my house for weeks restoring 3 rooms after a slab leak. They had one worker come out daily who sat around supposedly putting in flooring but at the end of the day he wasn't any further than when he started! They left every day without picking up their mess. The place was a danger to walk around. They left their equipment out where a person could trip. A job that should have taken a week tops was still going on after 4 weeks and I finally fired them. My home owners insurance told me they overcharge and all the money from my insurance was used up before I fired them. I just wanted them out of my house! I would never recommend this company!

I can't express my gratitude enough. Let's put it this way, it looked like a a volcano blew up in my shower Saturday at 7pm. I don't want to describe what came out. I tried to call several companies that advertised emergency services but no one bothered picking up the phone. I got really lucky getting a hold the owner himself, Vladimir. Vladimir arrived at my home on a Saturday night within 20 minutes. No other business bothered returning a phone call. Vladimir examined every possibility to get the job done effectively and he did. Not only did he do a great job fixing the plumbing issue but his pricing was very reasonable considering it was an emergency service. I Can't thank him enough. A plumber for life. Thank you.

I called because there is a gas smell in our kitchen when the oven and range burners are off, and we needed help isolating the gas leak, something ALP advertises they handle. I also explained there was an urgency because I learned from a biofeedback test that I have natural gas poisoning! They agreed to come out on Monday. Within 5 minutes, after ""looking"" at my standalone range, told me that I should call out an appliance repairman first to make sure it isn't the oven causing the problem. Really?? I was disappointed. Later in the day, I called an appliance repairman who said that I should contact a General Contractor specializing in kitchens, so I did. The General Contractor said I needed a plumber to isolate the leak! Ugh! Luckily, this particular general contractor runs a family business and they have a separate plumbing company and I called and made an appointment for Wed.

Seems to me that the ALP plumber just had no interest in the job - not sure why. He left their 7""x9"" glossy advertisement card, where it clearly includes bullet points for ""Gas Line Repairs"" and ""Slab Leaks"" -- but apparently, they will only isolate the problem if they ""feel like it"", and this guy didn't feel like it apparently. Oh well, at least I found another plumbing company that is willing to help me.

Tim installed a new gas line to my kitchen. He offered reasonable pricing and was very prompt with his timing. What sets him apart is after my stove got in, I discovered it wasn't working properly. Tim came back at no charge to help me troubleshoot the problem and make sure I was completely satisfied. The problem was a quick fix and was resolved immediately. That's great customer service that's rare in the service industry! I I'll definitely use him again.
