Our kitchen sink became clogged with water and would not drain. Later it got so clogged that water started coming out our washer drain all over the floor. Thanks to Mike and Almaden Valley Plumbing, Brendan came and had the problem fixed in about 30 minutes. Our kitchen now drains water and does not back up anymore. You have problems, call Mike and he will get you going again fast.

They do great work. I've used them many times over the years. This time I had a part go bad just a month past the warranty time. We had a recirculating pump put on the garage water heater and under the far sink. It's wonderful; instant hot water in the farthest bathroom without wasting water down the drain. But the circulating pump went bad and was now out of warranty. The owner, Mike, worked with us until we were happy with the work and the cost.

Yes.....You passed off the issue of the Pilot light to the manufactor very well.....However, you failed to mention the recirc pump that was put on in reverse. And I went out and bought a ANOTHER $250.00 pump to find out the pump was put back on the WRONG direction.
You should tell the whole story. YOU had to fix it! Remember?

We've used Almaden Valley Plumbing twice now and highly recommend them! The first time they cleared a shower drain and spent extra time to make sure it was fully cleared out (last person just did a quick job and we were back to a stopped up shower within a month or two). Most recently Mike was ready to be done for the day and head home but knew they were booked for a week. We had a toilet issue so he came on over even though he was heading home. Excellent customer service and they do good work!

Mike (owner) came to my house a month ago and installed a water heater.
I have no complaints about the installation other than one minor issue. He left a long (perhaps 6 feet) tube behind. I called and asked if he could pick up it next time he was in the neighborhood. He said he'd try to remember, which means, no, it's too much trouble.
I began seeing water leaking from my roof (thru a tube) a few weeks after the installation, something I've never seen in the 19 years I've lived here. I called the office and left a message for Mike. I called twice more over the next couple of days. He didn't call. I called his cell phone today and got his voice-mail; the message said ""mailbox full.""
I called his office one last time and asked if there was anyone else who could answer a simple question. I was told no, Mike is the only ""point of contact.""
I have no idea if the water leak is related to the water heater or something else, like the air conditioner.
Mike should realize that repair and installation is just one aspect of customer service. Following up with a customer with questions or concerns is just as important.

Almaden Valley Plumbing does excellent professional work, and Mike and his crew are nice people to work with. I had a leaky toilet, a clogged drain, and a failing recirculation pump. Mike fixed all three problems quickly in one visit. When a follow-up adjustment was needed, he made a second visit at no charge. Nobody likes to have plumbing problems, but if you do, Mike is the man to see.

Our water heater decided to give up the ghost a couple of days ago. We woke to no hot water on Tuesday morning, and water was in the water heater pan. Those are signs that the unit needs to be replaced.

The first business that I called, which was from the water heater stickers that arrive in the mail from time to time, couldn't get someone to our place until Thursday at the earliest. I then remembered that Almaden Valley Plumbing is only a couple blocks from us, so I gave them a call shortly after 8AM this morning. I spoke with Mike, and while he wasn't sure whether he could send someone over today, he was able to send Brenden in the afternoon. He arrived on time, and within approximately two hours we were back in business again, hot water-wise.

I should have called AVP in the first place. We are very happy with the work, the time it took to complete, and that they were able to take care of this on the same day that I called.
