Absolutely subpar, if you're dealing with them because of your warranty company.....ask for a different vendor.
I had the displeasure of dealing with Aly who was the most unprofessional ""customer service"" agent that I've had to deal with. She is condescending towards customers even when she is WRONG.....long story short I contacted the warranty company and pulled the contract from them.....DO NOT USE THEM

Allstate was sent by my home warranty to check on a leaking outdoor faucet. The tech said the faucet wa cracked because it had frozen and this was the reason for the water leak. This was the information he relayed to the home warranty company, freezing is not covered by the warranty. I called all states office to dispute the diagnostic because a ""frozen and cracked faucet"" did not make sense to me, long story short their response was that they know better than i do because im not a plumber. A few months went by and i did some online research, the faucet i have is a FREEZELESS woodford model 17, the reason for the leak was the vaccum breaker, turned out to be an easy fix because it took me 20 min and $16 at lowes to replace the part and fix the leak. The faucet was surrounded by concrete and rock and i had to do some work to get to it, in my opinion that is what turned off the tech and decided not to deal with it instead.

Don't use them!! If you have AHS request a different company. This company came out to service our bathtub. I was told the drain was broken off into the pipe; however, when it was reported to my warranty company, the technician said it was a foreign object. In the end, my warranty company wouldn't cover it because of the report. To make matters worse, they did not answer an email from the warranty company asking follow up questions so I called and never received a call back. Furthermore, the technician left dirty footprints all over my bathtub and I caught him using my toilet plunger for my bathtub drain. Overall very disgusting... do not use this company!!!

My entire interaction with Allstate Plumbing was just ""meh"". Nothing extraordinary. Nothing happened to make me a customer for life.

Our appointment was scheduled ""between 10:00 and 1:00"".

The morning of our appointment, I called Ali at Allstate Plumbing to find out if the appointment would be closer to 10:00 or 1:00. They couldn't possibly tell me, because they didn't know how long the other appointments would take. ""But I can have the technician call you when they are on their way.""

Allstate is a small business. It seems most of their business is contracted through home warranties. It is within reason that when the technicians' schedules are planned for the day, Allstate knows where their customers are on the list and approximately how long each job should take. They can do better than ""between 10 and 1"".

At 11:28, Ali called to let me know their technician was at my house and nobody was answering the door. ""And this is our second attempt at contacting you.""

First, when she called I was sitting in my living room, waiting for the technician. Nobody knocked on my door or rang my doorbell. Second, I have no missed calls from any number. The accusatory nature of the call left a bad impression. After checking with the technician, it was determined the technician was at the wrong address.

Bill, the technician, seems like a nice guy. He apologized and explained he got his jobs mixed up and ended up on the opposite end of the city. It wasn't that big of a deal; after all, he was here within the 10:00 - 1:00 timeframe.

If this review were based solely upon my interaction with Ali, I'd give Allstate 1 star. Luckily, they have Bill.

Bill earned 5 stars, earning them a 3 star average.

Bill was in and out in a jiffy. He cleaned up after himself. He even showed me how to clear the disposal using a hex key, something I never knew before today. (Insert the hex key into the inlay on the bottom of the disposal. Twist it to dislodge anything caught in it.)

But for the warranty that contracts with Allstate, I would never have used their services. I'm all about supporting small businesses. But I doubt I will call on them in the future.

Like I said, there is nothing extraordinary about Allstate.

They were sent though a home warranty to look at a water heater that Questar had already red tagged as inoperable because of the lethal amounts of carbon monoxide coming out of it. They said the water heater was fine.... they are at the lowest level of competence in plumbing I have ever witnessed my entire life. If this company is assigned to you by your home warranty, demand another company come out.

I have used Allstate several times now through my home warrantee and I have always been very satisfied. I see others had a different experience, but I have always found them to be prompt, and very helpful. They have solved some very difficult plumbing issues with my water main for a fair price. I feel totally comfortable recommending them.

My home warranty company told us to call them to diagnose our water heater, which a gas smell was coming out of and my husband almost passed out. We called over and over again with no answer, left a message and didn't hear back. Thank goodness we don't use the hot water heater ever, oh wait, we do and 5 days later still nothing.

Assigned this company through my home warranty company. They need to replace a water heater as part of the home warranty. It takes at least a day for this company to complete a report or evaluate a repair option. These are processes that could be done quickly if they chose to take that option. They know my tenants have not had hot water for several days but this situation does not matter to them. Everything will be done on their slow schedule even though I have an extremely urgent situation. Hope to be able to use a different company next time plumbing repairs are needed.

They hung up on me. I was trying to get a new water heater installed though my home warranty. They came out, confirmed it was dead and then didn't submit the paperwork to my home warranty. My home warranty said they would approve it in 15 minutes. Its now been 4 days without hot water. I have 4 kids. AND NO HOT WATER. GO ELSEWHERE. Horrible people to talk to on the phone. Rude to me and my wife while I was out of town!!!!!

I was also assigned Allstate plumbing through my home warranty. My technician arrived, looked at my shower that wasn't mixing hot and cold properly. He started by telling me that my Vigo shower unit was discontinued (which it isn't) and proceeded to give me 2 different diagnosis and complained how hard the job would be. ""I'm going to have to take that whole unit down and switch the water lines, ugh"" I responded, ""well, it isn't any use the way it is, we are covered for faulty workmanship, so lets fix it"" He told me, I will take a picture, submit it to your insurance and make sure it's covered"" I understood that, but due to his ""can't do attitude"" questioned his motivation to do the job. The last thing he said to me was, ""If your insurance company approves this, I will just take it down, switch the lines, and it should be an easy repair"" Great. Well my insurance approved it, but called me and said the technician told them I had to remove tile for him to get access to the shower unit, my Vigo tower is mounted to the front of the tile with caulk, so NOT TRUE. I looked behind the unit with a flashlight and there was about a foot and a half of water line to work with behind it if the unit was simply taken down. Explaining this to the insurance company, they said they had to rely on the tech's info, and if I disagreed, I could pay for a second opinion-which I did. I called Allstate, and told them the situation, they spoke to the tech, and called me back, they were very nice, but told me the tech had no idea how to work on this unit. I asked them why he would tell me to remove tile if he didn't know how to work on these, she didn't know, and said they would be asking him the same question. This dude wasted 5 days, and 1 hr of my life-I've been a contractor for 20 years, if you don't have something within your wheel of expertise, refer it out. Don't complain, and make excuses, most of all, don't make stuff up to get out of doing your job, be honest, and have integrity. This Technician did none of that, really made your company look bad.
