Called Allstate and scheduled them to come out on 11-23-2015. They sent out Danny and his apprentice Trent. Danny was a different plumber than the ones that came out before but just as professional. My trouble was a plugged, slow draining tub. They came they saw and they fixed it. It was so quick I asked them if they could check the other drains. I learned that my bathroom sinks were draining fine. The sink stopper acts as a plug on it's own. There is no pull on the back of the faucet to control the plug. It's handy but sometimes it slips on it's own and plugs the sink. Nice to know. Danny also explained that I was not paying for Trent because he was learning the trade. Also nice to know. It's a relief to call Allstate out again and know that they are going to send competent help out and they will remedy the plumbing situation!

Allstate came to my house on time with 2 techs. Both were extremely polite and professional. I had saved them the headache of locating the leak which also saved me money in the end. Even though they weren't making top-dollar from me, they still recommended best practices on back-filling the hole and how to prevent future leaks. Allstate also followed up on their repair work to see how things were going.

One star for embarrassing customer service and client care. I discovered a toilet leak and thought I would give Allstate Plumbing a chance. I took my business to Clark Kent Plumbing. Here's why: An assistant by the name of Marian contacted me to schedule an appointment. I told her that it was urgent because water was leaking into the unit below. She told me that the the earliest they could get to it was the next day. I still gave them a chance. I told her that I work everyday from 9am to 3pm and she told me that someone would arrive between 10am and 1pm... 3 HOUR TIME WINDOW? SERIOUSLY? Who wants to wait around for 3 hours not knowing if its going to be closer to 10am or 1pm when they have to be at work? I asked her if she could give me a more specific time frame of estimated arrival (Clark Kent does) and she muttered some patronizing explanation as to why they couldn't. Even if she gave me a 60 minute window I would have gave them another chance, but she didn't care or understand that people's time is valuable and when they work they can't spend 3 hours waiting, hoping that someone comes sooner than later. The worst part - She told me that I could leave a key with my neighbor. WHAT!?? Why would you ever suggest that to a potential client and assume they would be comfortable with that. I couldn't believe that. When I told her that I would have to call other Plumbers to see if they could come out sooner she said "right on, right on" which emphasized how little she takes pride in representing Allstate Plumbing. As for their services? Can't say. Clark Kent gave me a 30 minute time window so they got my business and now I will refer my friends and family to them and warn others about Allstate Plumbing. If you like old fashioned customer service, save yourself the frustration and call someone else.

This is an updated review to caution people. In my earlier review I told how they quoted one price then charged us double that amount! My husband actually spoke to the owner. My husband said the owner was polite and reasonable. The owner saw how we could be confused. Basically instead of paying $500 over what we expected we paid $250. My husband was satisfied but I still think it's shady. If this company does this to just two people a week...$250 dollars over their quote X 2 people a week X 52 weeks in a year = $26,000 a year. I think they quote one price then jack up the price when the job is complete on purpose. They then "make a deal" so people won't feel cheated. Beware of this company and make sure you get prices in writing before they start a job!

We worked with Allstate Plumbing during two bathroom renovations. They removed the old shower and garden tub, set a new shower basin, and removed/reset two toilets. Every member of the team is an expert in their field, pays attention to detail, and goes above and beyond to ensure the job is done right. They were very considerate of home, keeping work areas clean and protecting surrounding flooring and furniture. We were very impressed!

Was referred to Allstate Plumbing when my plumber couldn't make it. Hella expensive, over $400 labor to change out kitchen faucet ... Will not be using again due to pricing.

My water heater broke last night, and Michael from Allstate Plumbing came out to fix the problem. He was fun to talk to and finished up quickly. Also did a good job of making sure everything is done correctly. I would definitely recommend these guys!

We needed to have our water heater (gas) pilot light replaced and decided to call Allstate. They asked for the make and model number of the water heater, so when the tech (Michael) showed up, he already had the replacement part with him, and did the job in only about 15 minutes. He was very nice, professional and knew what he was doing. I plan to use Allstate again for future plumbing needs.

My tenant's hot water heater went out.

I called on a wed and they made an appointment for a Friday. I called Thursday to see if they knew approximately when they'd be out on Friday. I was told last appointment of day, I asked for clarification and was told 2:30-3. I stayed at the property til 5 and had to leave. The tenant was home at that point so someone could let the plumber in. I called Allstate and they said they were still coming.

I got a call from the plumber around 7:30. He said I needed a hot wear heater. He could not give me a bid at that time but said they'd get me one Monday. Bear in mind this was a week long freezing spell and my tenants had ben without hot water since Wednesday. I asked if they could get me the bid tomorrow, Saturday. He said he could.

Then he explained I owed $78 for the trip fee. This kind of irritated me, I already knew I needed a hot water heater so I was paying $78 for info I already knew. Additionally, most plumbers do not charge for just a bid (trust me, as a land lord I've tried many). He also said he spoke to his supervisor and if I use them, they'd apply the fee to the work. That also irritated me, it was disingenuous. That's everyone's policy, I'm pretty confident he didn't speak to his manager, but he was implying he was giving me special treatment.

Anyway, the bid didn't come Saturday and it didn't come Monday either. On Tuesday the office manager called me and told me I needed a hot water heater. He didn't have a bid worked up but told me he'd get me one that day. That part was accurate.

The bid was $1100, which isn't bad. I had another for $1200, Lowe's was about the same. I ended up getting it done for $935.

They sent me a thank you card and a magnet in the mail a week later. It's the only magnet I'd ever spent $78 on.

Very impressive business. I was worried about the cost of this repair because it was four separate problems that each could have been expensive.

First, how they got my business. Someone picked up the phone. I'm busy, I needed it fixed now, and the other top rated plumbers didn't pick up the phone. One had a message to call his cell phone, but he didn't pick up there either. By the time he called be back, Allstate was out at my house half finished with the work already.

They came out that day, and were perfectly on time.
They were extremely fast. All four jobs were completed in an hour and a half.
They explained everything that was wrong, and how they fixed it. I like that so much. I don't find it cost effective to do this work myself, but I find it extremely cost-effective to know how the work should be done so I know when I'm getting good work.
They told me about and honored a coupon even though i couldn't find it.

Could I have done this work myself? Maybe I could have, but it would have taken me all day (ALL DAY, not like 8 hours) and at least two trips to home depot, plus buying tools I don't have and don't want to have. I think I might have saved about $70 doing that, and that's if I didn't break anything in the process and knew what was wrong the first try - which I didn't.

Great plumber, will use again if needed. (Hope not!)
