I was told they would arrive between 12 & 2 and around 1120, they said they were en route and showed up 15 minutes later. They solved my problems of a plugged toilet and sink and did it within an hour time. Very friendly service and highly recommended

My wife and I have used Allstate several times with our real estate clients and on our personal properties. They have always been on time and completed the work as promised. Most recently, we just had them out to fix an issue on our personal home. They were on time and the job was less than the original estimate.

Only issue is it took them several days to get to us based on their busy schedule. But be advised the Austin area has a lot of demand and so if it isn't a serious emergency (ie, active leak in the house or major leak outside), having to wait several days is to be expected.

My wife spent a lot of time researching a good plumber. She found Allstate on Angie's List, and we're glad she did. We finally have a plumber that we can recommend.

They sent BJ, who repaired a bathtub faucet and downspout, and installed new fixtures. The service was excellent, and the price was reasonable. We're very happy.

The dispatchers are experienced and know how to give good service.

I have never been so demeaned in my entire life. I called these people on a Monday morning because my gas was turned off on Friday and they said they could get to me by noon on Monday. Then they call me and tell me the guy is running a little late but will be here around 2pm. I went with these people because they had a four start review on Yelp. So the guy gets here at 4:45 pm and says he should come back the next day because if he started the work it would be considered "after hours repair at time and a half". So he gave me his card and told me to call in the morning (Tuesday). Mind you, my wife and I can't bathe, wash dishes, use the dryer, or the dishwasher.

So I woke up and called them. Apparently they were so busy they had to call me back. By the time they did it was 12pm and the woman on the phone told me that since the gas company turned of my gas they have to "pull permit" before they can even send anybody over to my house and since the City of Austin is not doing permits until Thursday, they wouldn't be able to get anybody out to my house until then, another two days! When I asked her "what does pull permit mean" she got really mean and nasty with me on the phone and said "sir, I told you, we need to pull permit before we can go out to your house". I told her I understood the process, I just didn't know what "pull permit" actually means. She got really rude with me and told me to call a different plumber!!!!!!! I was so flabbergasted that she'd want me to go to her competition, I called back and asked for the manager. When I got him on the phone I told him the receptionist really motivated me. She didn't just motivate me to call a new plumber, but she also motivated me to write them a horrible review on Yelp, Google, and wherever else I could possibly find.

Happy ending: I got a recommendation from a really good friend to call Plumb Masters. Not only did they get to my house within 90 minutes, but they didn't even need to pull the permit from the city since they didn't detect any gas leak! The gas company made a mistake by turning off the gas so all I had to do was wait for Plumb Masters to test the pressure on the line, which came out perfectly, and I happily paid their $89 service call!

If you guys ever need a kind, friendly, honest and inexpensive plumbing company call Plumb Masters: 512-657-5862 and either Mandy or Mark (the owners) will be more than happy to get your problem solved quickly, cheaply, and with great service!!!!!

Allstate came to our house to provide a quote for a bunch of plumbing work on our new house. The plumber poked around for awhile and charged my wife $215 without providing her an invoice of work completed. She asked that he provide that along with a proposal for all the work we had originally asked him to come out to quote. Three calls later they have provided nothing. So they fleeced us for $215 and never provided us the quote that we asked for, not that we'd accept it at this point. Truly horrible customer service. Why is it so freaking hard to find people who care about their customers and are halfway decent at what they do?

Called Allstate and scheduled them to come out on 11-23-2015. They sent out Danny and his apprentice Trent. Danny was a different plumber than the ones that came out before but just as professional. My trouble was a plugged, slow draining tub. They came they saw and they fixed it. It was so quick I asked them if they could check the other drains. I learned that my bathroom sinks were draining fine. The sink stopper acts as a plug on it's own. There is no pull on the back of the faucet to control the plug. It's handy but sometimes it slips on it's own and plugs the sink. Nice to know. Danny also explained that I was not paying for Trent because he was learning the trade. Also nice to know. It's a relief to call Allstate out again and know that they are going to send competent help out and they will remedy the plumbing situation!

Allstate came to my house on time with 2 techs. Both were extremely polite and professional. I had saved them the headache of locating the leak which also saved me money in the end. Even though they weren't making top-dollar from me, they still recommended best practices on back-filling the hole and how to prevent future leaks. Allstate also followed up on their repair work to see how things were going.

One star for embarrassing customer service and client care. I discovered a toilet leak and thought I would give Allstate Plumbing a chance. I took my business to Clark Kent Plumbing. Here's why: An assistant by the name of Marian contacted me to schedule an appointment. I told her that it was urgent because water was leaking into the unit below. She told me that the the earliest they could get to it was the next day. I still gave them a chance. I told her that I work everyday from 9am to 3pm and she told me that someone would arrive between 10am and 1pm... 3 HOUR TIME WINDOW? SERIOUSLY? Who wants to wait around for 3 hours not knowing if its going to be closer to 10am or 1pm when they have to be at work? I asked her if she could give me a more specific time frame of estimated arrival (Clark Kent does) and she muttered some patronizing explanation as to why they couldn't. Even if she gave me a 60 minute window I would have gave them another chance, but she didn't care or understand that people's time is valuable and when they work they can't spend 3 hours waiting, hoping that someone comes sooner than later. The worst part - She told me that I could leave a key with my neighbor. WHAT!?? Why would you ever suggest that to a potential client and assume they would be comfortable with that. I couldn't believe that. When I told her that I would have to call other Plumbers to see if they could come out sooner she said "right on, right on" which emphasized how little she takes pride in representing Allstate Plumbing. As for their services? Can't say. Clark Kent gave me a 30 minute time window so they got my business and now I will refer my friends and family to them and warn others about Allstate Plumbing. If you like old fashioned customer service, save yourself the frustration and call someone else.

This is an updated review to caution people. In my earlier review I told how they quoted one price then charged us double that amount! My husband actually spoke to the owner. My husband said the owner was polite and reasonable. The owner saw how we could be confused. Basically instead of paying $500 over what we expected we paid $250. My husband was satisfied but I still think it's shady. If this company does this to just two people a week...$250 dollars over their quote X 2 people a week X 52 weeks in a year = $26,000 a year. I think they quote one price then jack up the price when the job is complete on purpose. They then "make a deal" so people won't feel cheated. Beware of this company and make sure you get prices in writing before they start a job!
