STEER CLEAR!
We had a very serious problem with this contractor, who was hired by our neighbor to do a liner/insert to restore her again sewer system, kind of like a ""pipe within a pipe."" In the course of doing that job, All Star failed to identify that this neighbor's sewer line joined the line from my home where they enter the street, and they ran the liner right over our inlet to the line, thereby blocking us fully from the city sewer. The result was the flooding of my home, and tens of thousands of dollars in damages and repair work to sort out their error.
One would expect them to be apologetic and in a rush to help fix the problem. However, when presented with the information of what they had done, All Star instead denied that it was their fault, and instead pointed the finger at the city, saying that the inspection should have caught their (All Star's) mistakes. The city has reviewed and very clearly stated that the fault was, in fact, All Star's, a sentiment shared by two other plumbing companies who have become involved in this mess. All Star further had the audacity to tell us that they'd be happy to give us an estimate to come back out to fix their mistake, on our dime! Really shady, and honestly pretty shocking. You can see that the majority of reviews on Yelp show a consistent pattern of behavior like this - people should be very wary of using this company, too many other great options out there to risk your home to a company with this much negative experience.

We had a basement floor drain backup. I called Allstar Service, and they sent a team out in a timely manner. Tobias and Art did very well. They were honest and thorough. Pricing was very fair. If we have plumbing problems in the future, I will call them first.
Avoid!
I made an appointment for someone to come look at my furnace. He gave me a call and wanted to talk to the owner (I rent from my friend who owns the apartment), so I gave the phone to her and he proceeded to say that he didn't believe that she was the actual owner and hung up without waiting for a response. Just like that. So I talked to their dispatch and canceled.
Ashlee D.please don't use them! I am never one to write a bad review ever, but they are so dishonest. They told us we needed a liner and we had tree branches in our pipes, and it was one of the worst they have seen. we got a second opinion from our neighbor when he got into town, and he sent a camera down and showed us they were in AMAZING condition! they lied to us and tried to scam us out of $30,000.
Randi P.First of all it started by setting the appointments which was easy and fast. I got an actual person right off the bat. Then they did a text follow up to my phone number reminding me of the appointment. They did another follow up letting me know the technicians ETA. When the technician arrived, his name was Roland. Roland was wearing a company shirt. Clean car very personable. He gave me a very reasonable estimate on the job of repairing my main lines going into my secondary water filter. Roland let me know both times that he had to get parts and returned to the house promptly to complete the job. We went out and he explained his work to me and gave me further advice on the plumbing job. Also advice on taking care of the plumbing when winter arrives.
I will certainly keep All Star's phone number and call up on them again.
If I could give this company a 0 I could. Called Allstar from a recommendation. I needed my sewer line cleaned out at my residential home. I live in a older home, built in 1952 and still have the old sewer line out to the street. It needs to be cleaned out about every year or two. I have lived here for 18 years and have been having plumbers come out without any problems in the past. Of course they all try and sell me a liner for the sewer line at a $10,000.00 cost. About two years ago I had the line ""jetted"" which worked out pretty well so when I called Allstar I told them I would like to have it jetted again. They were more than happy to comply at a cost of over $1600.00. Pat the plumber came out and proceeded to do his work. Him and partner came upstairs after only about an hour and said they got the line cleaned and were ready to have me pay and sign. I went downstairs and the first thing I saw was a very wet foot print on the carpet at the bottom of the stairs. When I felt it it was soaked. When I walked around to the laundry I saw dirty sewer water all over the laundry room floor and in the pantry area. The bathroom was also in the same condition with dirty sewer water on the floor and in the shower. Carpet was wet in front of the bathroom and in front of the laundry room. I was horrified to say the least and told them they had to clean it all up and I would not pay a dine for the cleanup. They said they would call someone to come and have it cleaned at their cost. A clean up company was called and came right out and proceeded to do their version of clean up, ripped carpet out of several areas of the basement and set fans to dry up all of the water for 4 days. They tell me several areas of my walls will need to be cut into and replaced and of course the basement will need to be re carpeted. Allstar Plumbing refuses to cover any of the damage caused by their incompetent plumber. When is it ok to come into someone's house and cause as much damage as they did and not own up to it. They are trying to tell me that this is all my fault because my sewer line was ""broken"". I have never been told that my sewer line is broken. It's old and has roots growing through the connections but it is not ""broken"". And of course that is why I called a plumber in the first place! DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY FOR ANYTHING!!
Rock R.bathroom 2 faucet replacement and few turn off valve estimate bid came out to $900 plus (what a BS bid) (we already purchased the 2 faucets so all they had to do is replace and they were going to charge ridiculous RIP OFF estimate price) (so we got 2 other estimate and they were $350 and $400 so they tried to rip us off for $500 plus. Always get 2nd and 3rd estimate price no matter if they charge service fee 38 dispatch estimate fee it is definitely worth to get 3 bids. (DO NOT USE ALLSTAR PLUMBING THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF
We had a serious electrical problem and they told use they couldn't get to us for a couple of days, which is totally understandable. But when they were supposed to show up. No call no show. I called them and asked if they were coming, the lady in the phone said he will call when he's ready . Well still waiting for that call.
Austin B.We had a mild backup. When the Allstar Technician Steve Bradshaw came, he immediately called up a mitigation company calling themselves ""ProClean"" (who have no online presence and the website on their business card doesn't exist) who brought in air scrubbers and dehumidifiers for some poop in the bathtub.
They told us we had breaks in the lines and would need to jackhammer our flooring, charging us nearly $5000 up front.
We wanted a second opinion, and ended up getting four other plumbers saying there's no break in the pipes, and you can't even see a break when there's a clog. The first of the four plumbers accidentally cleared the clog with just his camera.
The mitigation company said they would bill everything to insurance and even if we didn't end up replacing the things we billed insurance for, we could just keep the money. I'm pretty sure that's called insurance fraud.
They also left sewage from the toilet ALL OVER the bathroom floor. When we asked them to clean it, they said they would be tearing out the flooring anyway. To be clear, there was NO sewage anywhere but the bathtub when they arrived, and it was all over the bathroom when they left. THEY caused the damage to the flooring.
Fortunately we spoke with a manager who returned our money, so at least they've got that going for them. Will never use again and will go out of my way to tell anyone to stay away from them. Stay away from them!
Look. It was simple. I had a backed up drain. I used a snake but couldn't get it unplugged. I called All Star on a Sunday. They said they could be out in the morning. They got here when they said they would. Got a picture before hand so I could make sure it was the right person.
They put on things over their shoes to keep my floor free of yuck. They saw the problem. Unclogged it. I paid them the thirty odd dollars.
They left.
After reading the seven other heinous reviews on here it made me hesitate to put this review. Was my demeanor such that they didn't think they could screw me? Is this different ownership? A different serviceman who is true to his word? Have they cleaned up their act?
I have no idea.
What I do know is, I called, they showed up, did the job for a reasonable price. Guaranteed it for a month.
Nuff said.
