Our sewer was backed up and we initially called Mike Diamond to come out to take care of it. The technician searched and searched for the clean out to the main and couldn't find it. Mike Diamond left our house unable to help with our sewer still clogged. We were at a loss as to what to do. I looked around on Yelp and decided to give Allstar a try because of all the great reviews. The technician, Ryan S showed up and we explained the situation to him that the clean out couldn't be located. He immediately suggested where to look and yep, there it was! He snaked the main - it was clogged due to palm tree roots in our front yard. We were so happy to have a knowledgeable technician that was able to unclog our sewer!

Tankless water heater problems. They came out within an hour. Took 10 min to diagnose the problem. Ryan explained carefully and Let me know it's under warranty and told me what to do. All this and they didn't charge a dime. Thanks guys!

We had a very bad leak from the handle of our kitchen faucet. I would have tried to fix myself but it occurred during the holidays so no downtime was going to be tolerated. Allstar came out and the tech told me the faucet had to be replaced. He could not fix it and it was likely to need further repair. I bought a new one from Home Depot and he installed it in about 15 minutes and charged $200.00 The new faucet cost $225.00
I did some checking and found that I could repair the premium faucet he removed for about $40.00. There were several tutorials online that show a relatively easy fix once you have the part. By the way he asked me if he could have the old (expensive) Grohe faucet. NO
While he was here I asked him to look at the bath faucet handle that had fallen off. He said same fix, buy a new faucet and he would install. I passed on the second install and charge. I later fixed the handle after a you tube video showed how the screw on this model comes out and by taking it apart its a 5-10 minute fix for zero $. It's working fine. Bottom line I won't use this company again. The tech was either lazy or not that well trained on repair or just looks to make maximum dollars per call. Not fixing myself is on me though, lesson learned.

UPDATE, I received a call from management expressing their concern for my experience. They claim to have taken steps to further train the tech, so this type of thing does not occur again. He seemed sincere and offered me a partial refund and discount on future repairs. I agreed to update this review. I was impressed by his call and attitude to improve and address customers concerns. So I would be much more inclined to give them another shot. Thanks Jason.

Allstar replaced my water heater and it works fine. Then they offered to do a free scope of my plumbing. They told me that I had a crack in my main line and that disaster was all but imminent. They told me it would cost $5000 to fix because it was under my driveway. I got a second opinion before spending $5000 off of a ""free service."" Called another reputable company and they told me there was water sitting in the pipe under the driveway where ideally it should be clear of water. However, they told me that if it hadn't caused any problems it had probably been there for years and would be fine to just leave it and fix it if it somehow started causing other problems. Very disappointed in Allstar Home Services for just trying to get another job.
