Started here in May of 2022. Allied came to me on indeed and I immediately came in for an interview. Everything was great starting out. Had some previous experience from California and due to taking a break, I was a bit rusty and was assigned with a foreman that got me back up to speed. Was later assigned to a different foreman not much older than me. I worked my way up to being a solid right hand to a foreman.

Company says full time work, but can't keep work in the winter and often times we go home early or take days off with no pay. Due to our supervisor leaving last year, PM and the office doesn't have any fight with laying people off...so they just do. It's like the crew doesn't matter anymore and you have a temp job till winter comes around now. Benefits are good but expensive. Umbrella company was supposed to reduce these costs but I still pay out of pocket $275+ a year for Health insurance. Their pay is also not competitive by any means as 3+ years of experience gets you nothing more than $18/hr. We've been told many times we aren't getting any raises due to jobs not making money. This will contradict itself as you keep reading.

Cutting to the chase, Allied is completely unorganized and its filled with high school level drama. Management is ignorant and passes blame to us while we work stupid hard in the summer. HVAC PM doesn't have a backbone and beats around the bush anytime you talk to him. Will never inform you if you are doing well or not. I suffered some injuries this year with this company due to other peoples incompetence and lost a lot of time at work due to my injuries. We did a rather large job for Cross Church in pinnacle hills and we were three weeks late due to PM and upper management negligence. We worked overtime and got the job done just within contracted time just to save our PMs job since the office was upset with the condition of the division and his performance. Potentially losing all further work with Crossland construction. Allied is no longer on good terms with them. It's so bad, trades we run into at gas stations that don't work on our jobs know about the drama between Allied and Crossland. We received no bonuses, no thank yous, no lunches, nothing, for what we did to make that job happen. We bend over backwards to bust out these jobs and get nothing in return.

Allied is under an umbrella named Hometown Services and anytime a job comes in over budget which is not the fields fault, we get reprimanded for not coming within hours. Allied underbids man hours to get more money and expects us to work like dogs to make time. They way overbid equipment such as units by a longshot so while their man hours may get ran up, they still make plenty of money off us. This is a proven fact because I was informed of all the numbers. They tell us we aren't working hard enough and to speed up but then the PM tells that we passed the plumbing division 3 fold and are raking in profits. How does that not contradict? They also are always about 95% of time, behind on ordered equipment. Units, double wall spiral, anything that has to come in from another company is 6+ weeks out on a job that takes maybe 2-3 months and we end up burning up jobsite hours waiting on site for this equipment because even with being slammed, they can't put us anywhere else most of the time anyways. We end up going over man hours and the getting blamed. You can see where this is going.

I can do both sides of this trade. I can run sheet metal, I can run line sets, set condensers, I can braze copper all day, run a crane day crew. I was left to run 5 systems in hard copper and run the condensate out and I ran it flawlessly with some minor issues as expected. This company doesn't have any idea when it comes to building to code either. I caught a complete disregard for fire damper mounting through a chase floor. Steel was mounted to duct instead of fire damper. Concrete cutout in floor was way bigger than duct so fire dampers serve zero purpose. I reported the situation to my PM and was told ""do what you can so the fire marshal passes it"". That duct is not to code and is a huge liability if a fire ever occurs. The steel isn't mounted to anything and is not up to code either. To say I am a weak link when I am more detail oriented and more attentive than these foreman code wise, is disrespectful.

I showed up to that same job on a crane day morning to find nobody there except an entry level helper. Ductwork was not dropped through the unit curbs on roof nor were they assembled. We were not ready, I made sure we were ready. Unfortunately due to the rush of having to make up for manpower that wasn't present, I was injured in the wrist quite severely.

Really negative experience dealing with Allied for HVAC, would not recommend. The technician no showed on the day his appointment and then came back with out notification the next day. We were not home and he took onto himself to enter our home on his own and ended up installing the wrong things which meant more appointments.

It took them over a month and many visits to get fixed, mostly because they seem incredibly unorganized in their office. It is frustrating to take off time of work just to have a technician come out and he cant finish because the wrong part was ordered.

We called them to root out our main sewer line. We have an old house, so it blocks up every couple of years. We couldn't schedule with our normal plumber because it was a holiday, so we tried Allied. They came out the next day and cleared the line. However, they did not run the water to make sure everything was clear. It seemed fine for 2 days, then it started backing up into our basement again. When we called to see if they could fix it, they said they would have to charge us the full price for another service call and recommended an additional charge to use a camera. They gave no warranty for their work at all, not even for 2 days. They literally said that drain clears are only temporary. We had another company come out and fix it for even cheaper than what Allied charged us the first time. Learn from my mistakes. Don't waste your money.

If I could give a negative rating I would. We used Allied to install HVAC in our new custom build on Beaver Lake. From the start our basement unit wasn't running properly. We had them out several times and they told us it was fixed however the same issue kept arising. This last time they came out they FINALLY discovered the issue but sent us a bill for 750.00. Our unit was still under the 1 year warranty and they would not honor it. Not only do they not honor their work they also ran all of our copper pipes in the same pvc pipe in our master bedroom wall so in the winter when the heat comes on we get a terrible banging sound that is so loud I had to sleep in the guest bedroom. Their own guys even told us the install crew they used on our house was terrible. We refused to pay the 750.00 and today found out they had turned us over to collection. This company should not be in business

Back in 2019 the main water pipe outside going to the house had a leak. Called Allied to fix the leak and they did. Now 2023 we had another leak: centimeter's from the same spot that Allied fixed. I was told that this leak was caused by Allied not doing a proper job. Yes they fixed the leak back then but not the proper way - hence we now have this leak.
Allied would not stand by their work because it's been over one year. We are not talking about a toilet flapper, this water leak was expensive fix!

Had a back up in the line outside the house that backed up both toilets. The technician that showed up was mad and confrontational immediately. I tried to explain what i thought was the problem since this was not the first time this had happened, and he was condescending and rude. He ended up leaving without fixing the problem. I will NEVER us Allied plumbing again.

We had issues with HAVC and have used Allied for plumbing previously. The tech came out and we told him the AC wasn't working and there was moisture around the unit. He replaced the ""board"". 5 days later I walk into the guest room and the carpet is soaked. Open the AC unit and it is pouring water. Call emergency services 3 times and they said they would contact the tech on call again. After 2 hours I told her to just make sure Allied called us first thing in the morning. Filed insurance claim and called Serv Pro. The next morning, Allied called and said unfortunately they couldn't get anyone out here until tomorrow. My husband explained this was an emergency. I called her back and she started making excuses why the tech didn't respond to emergency call. NOT the way to respond to a stressed out customer who has major damage to home because the tech didn't fix the problem in the first place.

I told the dispatcher this was not acceptable and not to send anyone to our home. VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH ALLIED. Call someone else if you need help!!

We had a leak in our kitchen faucet. We got the replacement parts direct from Moen but didn't feel comfortable doing the job ourselves. My wife called Allied, and they came out later that day. Daniel was here less than 30 minutes, fixing the faucet with the parts that we supplied, and charged us $187! We called them for an itemized receipt, but they won't send us one. Wish I had read these reviews before calling them; I NEVER would have wasted my time or money with them. Save yourself some serious money and please call anyone else!!

$300 to do what other companies have always charged $140. Avoid Allied Plumbing if you expect fair and honest charges. If they see an opportunity to take advantage they will do just simply avoid them!!! There are too many other reputable plumbing companies to choose from.
