I recently had my back-flow preventer valve replaced by Allen's plumbing. They were fast and courteous. The scheduler and the installer were both very polite and professional. With that said, I do have to say that I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THEM! I was quoted between $300-400 depending on the difficulty. I already had the brand-new valve. So that quote was basically labor only. I sat with the technician as he performed the repair. It took him less than 30 minutes. Two cuts, a little pipe tape, and some unions and nuts. After it was over, I was billed for $450! 30 minutes of work for $450 with no difficulty encountered! To say I was shocked would be an understatement. Keep in mind that I already had the valve. The parts required were two unions, two 90-degree fittings, and two closed nipples. NO SOLDERING involved and I was charged $450! It is never a good feeling when you feel like you were just taken by someone, I felt robbed. I don't know of any work for less than 30 minutes where someone would feel good about charging someone else $450. Service was ok, but they will rip you off. DO NOT call Allen's plumbing. You have been warned.

Terrible customer service. Called them on a Saturday for toilet repair. They said sure, but part way through getting me registered ""We lost the opening. We can come tomorrow."" Okay, forced to wait. Sunday comes and service guy says I'm happy to come tomorrow! (monday). NO! I argue telling the guy what the person who took my call said. Then, if he did come today (sunday) there would be a $300 surcharge!! I let out a WTF?? His virgin ears seemed like they were violated and he hung up on me Called the main number. Got switchboard. Was told someone would call me back. No one ever did.

After chasing down 6 plumbing companies over 4 hours we were lucky to have found Allens here on Yelp. One was Aloha who took an hour and I had to call them back - they were trying to arrange for a 7-9pm visit for ""a very small fee of $79.50"" - seriously Aloha you suck. But this is about Allens... Top Notch Company. We called and luckily they had sent 2 guys out within 2 hours. We had over flowing toilets and could not use our shower. Jacob and Kapona arrived a bit early and went right to work outside having noticed the overflow leaking. Within seconds they had their equipment out and immediately knew what to do and gave a formal quote. I truly cannot think of a time in my 60+ years where a Plumming company was this responsive and affordable. Thank you to the entire team from intake, dispatch and the Plummer's.

What an amazing experience. Called at 920am and the dispatcher called back in 30mins and had Isaiah at the house diagnosing the problem. His ability to problem solve and explain his recommendation and carry out the plan and fix the immediate problem was incredible. Very respectful, polite and such a pleasure to work with. Will definitely call Allen's Plumbing if the need arises. Hopefully Isaiah is assigned to help us again.

If I could give more than 5 stars for Allens Plumbing I totally would! We have had different members of the team out to our home 3 times in the past month, due to a failed on demand water heater, and NO fault of Allens. We have finally found our forever plumbers!! Mahalo Nui Loa to Marissa in the office, and techs Jacob, Justin, and Jeremiah (I think they should start a band!)

Our Solar Water heater was not working & I drove down to the company that originally installed it. They informed me that the scheduler will call me to set up an appointment. Meanwhile, I call my girlfriend to found out who did her installation. She highly recommended Allen's Plumbing. So I gave them a call, spoke to Cynthia, who informed me the someone will call to schedule an appointment. Received the call later that day, schedule my appointment 8:00am, next morning. Keoki arrived and was very helpful in providing information on what the problem was. What was a blessing is that he had the time to fix it now. I didn't have to schedule another appointment. He did, however, had to go back to the office for parts. He, also, did a thorough check of the system. 2 hours into the repairs, the company that originally installed the system, finally call me. So sad, too bad. I really appreciate the friendly, courteous and fast service Allen's Plumbing provided.

The technician Jeremiah explained everything that was going to be going on. At one point, we realized there was no clear path to a sewer line so he came up with a plan to tap into a nearby toilet sewer line which saved otherwise digging underground to locate the clean out line. Although this changed my pricing it was much cheaper than the other alternative. Jeremiah came back the next day to complete the job with a better way for the drain line to access the sewer line. Great service and I'm very happy.

Allen's Plumbing is usually my go to since I've had great experiences. I realize with all the craziness going in things may get disrupted, but they fell very short on communication on my latest project. I called to request a quote which I was told I would get an email. While on the phone I asked to go ahead anyway to schedule me on my next day off. I was told they will get me the quote first and then schedule. Fine. I waited for two days and called back to check. I was told the quote wasn't done but he could tell it was being worked in and I should get it by the next day. Next day comes and no quote. I call again. They see again that it is being worked on and was assured he would but a note to rush it and to expect a quote the next day. Next day come with no quote. I call back AGAIN and told them look, I just need you guys to come out in my next day off. I get a call back from the scheduler who says they can come out on the day AFTER my day off since they are at that point fully booked. So clearly I didn't need to wait to get a quote before I got scheduled, and when they decided to schedule me, it not for the day that I requested a whole week before. I ended up calling All Aloha Plumbing who got me scheduled two days after I requested service, and even though they couldn't make it as scheduled, they called me and asked if I could reschedule for the following morning. They just completed the job and I have to say they did an amazing job.

I've used Allen's for a few issues for our residence as well as rental units. They are the best!!! Joshua and Isaiah are friendly, professional and efficient!! Love them!!
