I made""Help"" call at 7:20 a.m. Got response from Allen's plumber Kris at 8:14 a.m. saying he was on call in Pennsylvania but should be able to come in an hour or so. He arrived with partner at 9:15.a.m. The two pro's looked at the water that was dripping from laundry room in basement, and after thorough inspection, advised me at 9:46 that problem was a leak in pipe somewhere in a concrete wall, and that required tools beyond their capability. They advised me to contact my insurance, and made no charge or took no fee. They would check with their boss to see who did the type of construction work that was necessary. These men were exemplary - prompt , skilled, professional and fair. We are lucky to have such resources.

needed a hot water heater and installation. Unable to contact directly, had to go thru an answering service. Calls were not returned for 24 hours, if at all. Had to go elsewhere to get anything done.

Kris and Denise were very willing to work with us and help however they could as we had to deal with a new gas water heater from A O Smith that was defective. (Returned the unit and will never purchase an AO Smith product)

Use a local independent plumber with reasonable prices and not this business! These guys charge $98 just to come to your house! They we're at my house and for 20 minutes of labor, charged $125 total, and did nothing to fix the problem. Stay away from these guys!!!

I've used Allen's for years and have always been happy. I recently came home following a few weeks away and found that my furnace was not working. It was a Saturday right before New Years and Allen's is closed (ex. the on-call service), so I called EVERY open HVAC company in the twin tiers. Not one of them answered or called back following my voice mail. To be clear...NONE of them answered or called back! I decided to call Allen's anyway and got the answering service. Frankly I was happy that a real human answered the phone. Well, I had a tech on site within an hour and a working furnace shortly thereafter. Shawn/Sean was fantastic and left a clean working area. He even took a courtesy look at my gas fireplace. Also, it should be noted that the pricing is very reasonable.
