Company Overview

The founder started the career in the plumbing trade in California's Santa Barbara, where he completed his internship in the early 1970s decade. Having kin here, he decided to take the leap to return his growing loved ones to the area. This proved to be hard for Allen to work with different companies as Allen had a high standard and training in how a service firm ought to perform for the clients. Few managed their company like his previous employer he worked for in California. Fueled by a determination to succeed and a significant amount of hard work, Allen created a company that stands on integrity and integrity, prioritizing the interests of his clients above all. Our company swiftly turned into a domestic operation. Allen's spouse took care of the books and took the inquiries around the clock. Due to an growing enterprise, the family and garage grew rapidly cramped to support a company. During this time that he decided to relocate the company to our location on 54th Ave N in St. Petersburg, FL, developing the property and constructing the majority of the present structure.

SCAM ALERT!!!!!!This company overcharges!!!. Did not informed me there would be overtime charges for work done at 4:00 pm. Charged me 1.5 hours labor for 30 minutes of work. Charged for """"Traveling Time, gas fees, diagnosing fees and stocking fees""""; did not provide an itemized bill until I begged for one and for replacing a flange in a toilet the total bill was $408.26. WATCHOUT!!!!

Needed 30 gallon water heater maintenance b/c I had it turned off for a few months. Basically, to turn the right switches on and make sure it'll be in good working condition, and stays that way. I know jack about water heater. I was afraid that I might unknowingly do something wrong and end up with a flood in my home. Total bill was $243.50 $56 - """"service call"""" $156 - 90 minutes of labor or $104/hr $31.50 - heating element which I don't know if it needs to be replaced. It was just replaced. I don't know if the prices are reasonable or not so I list them hear. Maybe someone can tell me. Plumber showed up on time.

Beware! This company tried to """" take me for a ride"""". The work they estimated as costing 5k (possibly more) was completed by another licensed and reputable plumbing company yesterday. Cost $535!

I called at 9:30AM and they were at my door by 1:30pm - for non-critical part replacements. Both Steve and Bill were very professional and took care of the job timely and efficiently. Good call on my part, sticking with a name I trust.

I'd leave no stars if I could. Worst customer service from the owner in my life. Called them to come out, after recommendations from my HOA. Should have checked the reviews first, I certainly would have """"NOT"""" called Allen's Plumbing. My story begins with a clogged up toilet, which was occasionally working and then sometimes it would not. On a call to Allen's plumbing I was told that a technician would go out and investigate and that they would call me with the results. I was further told if they found nothing that they would check with the HOA to see if others in building were having problems as well. I said I understand the process and would be waiting to hear from them. About two weeks later a get a bill for $146.00 for snaking the toilet, flushing it several times, and reportedly there was nothing found. I was not there when all of this was done, the tenant told me that the tech stayed about 20 minutes and they did not remove the toilet to check for obstructions as well. I would have expected that for almost $150.00 the toilet would have been removed, then snaked the line etc. I went by to talk to the owner (Allen) about this and that I would be willing to pay a service charge but paying for the snaking of the toilet I would not. I feel the snaking was not effective, because a few days after they performed this service the toilet stopped up again. Which at this time, I got in my car and drove from Tennessee to St Petersburg to fix this issue. Went to Home Depo, rented a snake and got a new wax seal. Removed the toilet, inspected the toilet, snaked the line, put everything back and have not had a problem since. So, I just wanted an answer and to discuss this bill with Allen. Well Mr Allen totally ignored me by staying outside blowing his parking lot off and chatting with his employees while I waited. He knew I was there and even told me he was coming inside. Well after waiting for 20 minutes total, I left. I guess that was his plan to ignore me and it worked. It worked so well, thanks. This was and has been the worst customer service from a company owner I have ever had. I have spent over 20 years in the military, having dealt with hundreds of companies and business owners and all of these dealings have not been great, but people are always respectful and willing to listen, talk, and work to resolve a customer issue. I am going to make it point to inform my HOA, the BBB, and all of social media about this company and their business practices and the way I was disrespected. If he was not going to cut anything off the bill, just be a man and come and talk to me about it. Such a cowardly act! """"NOT RECOMMENDED""""

Had a middle of the night emergency and called. They sent a technician who was capable and worked hard and fixed the broken pipe. They came back a day later to fix related problems and did not charge a second call fee. They fixed that quickly and only charged for the short time it took. Fair, talented and available that's as good as I could wish. Would use them again.

I called Allen's Plumbing for a leaky faucet and s tankless water heater as the hot water especially in the shower does not heat up as it should. Rose was cordial enough when scheduling the initial call. I was told that they only had one person who worked on tankless water heaters which was understandable. They rescheduled me twice due to an emergency call, again understandable. I was called last minute as they had someone available to fix the leaky faucet but that they would need to reschedule the person to look at the tankless water heater. They came out and replaced 2 outside faucets and accepted full payment (which is the most I have ever been billed for a plumbing service call) and I waited to reschedule someone to come out for the tankless water heater. I had to yet rearrange MY schedule to accommodate their schedule. There was so much confusion on the water heater. The guy came out and was the most unprofessional and rude person I have ever had experience with. He came in with an attitude and literally walked out without looking at the water heater within 5 minutes of his arrival. I was told that I would receive a call back after speaking with the owner with no call back. It is ironic that their website says they are """"reliable and professional"""", they are the exact opposite. My experience with this company was so horrendous that this is my first time writing a review like this. Stay clear of this company. They do not honor their work or follow through. I would rate them a ZERO if I had the opportunity.

We are writing to highly recommend: Allen's Plumbing, Inc. 4219 54th Ave N, St Petersburg, FL as a full service utility company! We are a non-profit company housing a mobile home park. It has been Patio Village Inc. pleasure to be able to work with and alongside Allen's Plumbing in a 73 unit mobile home park with the installation of new individual water meters on each lot. Allen's Plumbing was instrumental throughout every phase. They provided accurate estimates, onsite job explanations, and assisted with all permits required by Pinellas Co. to final completion. Thanks to their dedication to the job, working every day and all day, Allen's Plumbing was able to complete this job in only one weeks' time, where other bids had estimated 2-3 weeks for this large project. Allen's Plumbing completed the water meter installation project on time and on budget. Allen's Plumbing was professional, organized and a pleasure to work with. Allen's Plumbing Supervisor Jamin G. was absolutely wonderful to our members answering questions and offering solutions to their plumbing issues. Patio Village Board Members were very pleased with how well Jamin G.and his crew worked with us. I am confident that Allen's Plumbing will continue to be an excellent choice of a plumbing contractor. Had Allen's plumbing replace the guts in two of my toilets. Took 1 hr and 5 minutes and they charged me 1 hr 15 mins. I was told by the plumber this is what his boss told them to do. Round up to the next 15 minutes. If it's only 5 mins over then they should have charged me an hour. To nickel and dime a repeat customer is wrong. Will never use their services again!

I had """"service"""" from this company in the beginning of the month and it will never happen again. I was paying them to unclog my sewer and I was charged for a camera. No one asked my permission but they sure charged me for it in the end. Don't use this plumbing company, I sure won't.
