We installed a new countertop and our installers said they would reconnect our plumbing for $430. We already had an appointment with Allen so we declined. When Allen arrived they told us it was going to cost $1300!! We obviously needed our kitchen sink so we felt like we were over a barrel. It took our installer approximately ONE HOUR to do this work. When my husband asked for a breakdown of the labor they showed us an iPad with pre-set prices and told us they don't charge by the time it takes. While the plumbers are professional and the work seems to be good, the prices are RIDICULOUSLY HIGH!! It's like highway robbery. They also try to upsell you on their products. We had a brand new Kohler faucet and our previous insinkerator disposal that worked great. They told us our insinkerator was not good and that they would not stand by the work on the Kohler faucet because we bought it. If we wanted to purchase a Moen that they sell the cost of installation goes down and they warranty the work!! We paid more to install a brand new Kohler because we purchased it. If you have money you want to throw away, use these guys. Otherwise, call a local small local business.

Rather disappointed - I called yesterday at about 10AM as my fan was having serious issues -- I explained that my fan had to be shut off and the summer heat is increasing. I was told that I would get a call from the scheduler shortly as the fan had to be turned off. I think that the scheduler called me back at about 11:45 today -- about 27 hours after my initial call. I am saying ""I think"" because the message left was garbled and incoherent -- when I called back, the call rolled me to a voice mail .... I just tried to call again and it rolled to voice mail again. So not sure if it is an issue with Allen or perhaps just an issue with the scheduler -- but regardless -- waiting over 24 hours for a callback is unacceptable -- Allen needs to address this ... I will not be using them going forward ....

I recently had Allen Service do an overpriced $16,000 sewer line repair, and it was probably the worst financial decision of my life.
First: The plumber who wrote the handwritten contract, is a
liar. I was lied to on at least five occasions. He promised me again and again that they would provide emailed documentation of the contract as well as an itemized invoice. I never received any documents from the company. Jason also made verbal statements clarifying the extent of the work to be done. These statements were either ignorantly forgotten, or they were lies. Additionally, Jason and the crew were 1-4 hours late EVERY time they showed up.
Second: Many issues developed from the work completed.
-They left hundreds of pounds of concrete chunks spread literally all over my front yard (which took me 20 hours of labor to remove)
-They left PVC, cast iron pipe, rubber gloves, and straight up trash in the front yard. Nothing was hauled away. They attempted to bury all of the work mess in the trench they dug to fix a belly in the yard. However, the rubbish was only spread on the surface.
-Broke a water line and didn't fix it properly (the water line started to leak after they left, and I ended up fixing the CPVC myself)
-Left exposed wire next to a shower drain
-Left 2x4 framing unsupported when they broke the concrete underneath and caused a small wall to fall down later and destroy the new concrete
-Left pvc pieces under reinstalled carpet, so I had to tear the carpet up and remove it
-Two way clean outs were installed 8 inches bellow grade in the front yard! I had to place large rocks over the clean out location, so if we need to access them, we can locate and dig them out.
This project was to replace less than 15 feet of sewer line. Save yourself money, stress, and dignity by choosing a company other than Allen Service.

Con artists...try to upsell because the get commissions on extra services.
Rude and unprofessional.

The worst customer service and installation...failed inspection three times. Warning to all. They charge three times what other companies charge and fail inspections.

I just want to warn anyone thinking of using Allen Service --BUYER BEWARE. We had a serious sewer drain issue at our house, and called Allen Service. We've been using them for about two years.
We got the bid to dig a 8'x1' exploratory hole for a little more than $8,000. Of course, we called for second and third opinions. Both other companies came in more than $5,000 lower.
If that wasn't enough reason to be concerned, I then had reason to check my security cameras that are outside of my house. To my surprise and disgust, the lead guy on the bid job was out there coaching the younger guys how to get us to accept the bid, and how to get us to sign right away, leaving no time for second opinions. I was horrified.
I called and spoke to someone to cancel the work. They showed up the next day anyhow. That same guy screamed at me on my front porch (also have video of this), and refused to leave. He threatened me that if I didn't let them in to do the work, the company would charge me for ""every cent"" anyways. It was scary. I was shaking and very alarmed.
I had interviewed with this company at one point, and was told how they pay their employees. They pay very low wages, and then pay 20% commission to their employees who ""up-sell"" projects like this one.
They still have not refunded the deposit they collected the night they put pressure on me to sign, saying that if I didn't sign right then, I'd likely be without water for at least a week and a half, since no other company would do it for less, and they only had time the next day. All bullshit.
They have nice looking trucks and ads on tv, but DO NOT trust this company.
EDIT: Upon further review of the security cameras, Jason, the technician, very clearly calls me a ""dumb b*itch"". Very professional.

So, I was called a liar by the Allen Services plumber in charge of my project. All of a sudden, what I was working with was a FORENSIC WOOD SPECIALIST, not a plumber. He could tell, wow, I was so impressed, from one glance, that the corner of my house was NOT clipped by their little digger. No way. No how. And the rainspout was all bent and mangled by THE WIND. Also, I had to get the ENTIRE project redone by another company. In fact, it's probably because of the work they were doing that the other line failed. Never mind. It's fixed now, but, folks, steer clear of this company. Although MANY of the people working there are good and honest, it just takes one bad apple to spoil the entire bin.

If you just want a new furnace I'm sure they will do fine but Furnace REPAIR they get a flat F. I called for a ""tune up"" where they proceeded to break the furnace apart and state what parts are wrong. The so called tune up is really to tell you every questionable part that is""bad"". Anyway they found parts that equaled 5000 if I am a ""member. One part has another part connected to it and is not an ""extra"" part. They then David I had a horrible carbon dioxide problem and they turned the furnace off and said I could not use. Now mind you I have a carbon dioxide alarm 4 inches from the furnace and it never went off. I got another company in and found no carbon dioxide leak. The parts were unnecessary and they charged for 2 parts when one had both parts on it. It is clear they are in the sales games they are not there to quote the least to get you by. They create fear tactics to generate a sale and did nothing in repairs. I have found a wonderful ethical company I will call from now on but it's not Allen

One star. Because I can't go lower.
I had sewage back up in my basement shower. I called Allen Service to do a clean out on my main line. $700.00 was charged for that service. During the process Mike Oliver stated he went ""100 ft,"" three time. He said I had build up, and bellies and I would have to switch my main line estimated at $10,461.00. This was not the cause of my back up sewage. I had to spend additional money to get a valid reason behind my backup.
Mike said we would have to dig up fences to switch the line and go to court if neighbors wouldn't comply. My line is not 100 feet and the images did NOT match With CAMERA At ALL. DO NOT let this company rush you into an unneeded projects. Get a second oppion.

We are having an AC, heater and hot water heater installed. Was notified of who was coming and a picture of the techs. They showed up on time, put booties on, wore face masks, and were courteous to us. I'm listening to this crew work and they are great. They support each other and are very courteous to each other. They are very professional and are very efficient. All the techs are supporting each other and they have such a smooth flow in getting this job done. Will let you all know how the system works when they are finished with the install. So far so good.
So the system is in and we couldn't be pleased. We are realizing that our ""old"" unit and thermostat were not performing up to par which makes us really glad that we decided to change everything out now before we were in an emergency situation with the cold temperatures outside.
We are awaiting the hot water heater install today and will update as the job is complete.
SO FAR WE ARE PLEASED WITH THE SERVICE AND EQUIPMENT. Thanks Allen Services!
