I must admit I was surprised when I saw some poor ratings for this company. Maybe they had a bad period years ago (the reviews were old). My experience was fantastic. Admittedly, communication while waiting for them could have been a bit better, but once they started, the guys (Mike, Darrel, and Cameron) were incredibly professional, talented, and polite. They went over and above and their work is gorgeous. They operated the backhoe like it was an extension of their hand, and when they dug the field it was just about perfectly level. When they finished they back loaded the ground so nicely, and even the city people working on the ditch next door came over to say what a nice job they did.

WARNING: DO NOT use Allen Plumbing unless you want UNNECESSARY SERVICE CHARGES! We called Allen Plumbing after having water from our washer back up into the shower. Our house has a pump instead of city water, and we have a septic tank. The initial service call was fine, but after that, the customer service took a negative turn. On the first service call, they determined we needed a septic pump out. Since it was the day before Thanksgiving, they said that they would have their secretary/manager call the following Monday to schedule the pump out, and if she didn't call, then to call them. Monday rolls around and they don't call, so on Tuesday my husband calls them and says that we want a septic pump out and asks for a price quote. The manager schedules us for Friday (for what we assumed would be the pump out) and the manager says she'll call back on Wednesday with the price quote. They never called with the price quote. As if regularly not returning customer calls isn't bad enough, here's where the real issue starts... The workers arrive at the scheduled time on Friday. We were expecting a septic pump out, but instead it's just the service call guys, no pump truck. They spend a few minutes running our sink, then they check the filter size on the septic tank. They were hear all of 15 minutes. When we asked about the septic pump out, they said that this was just a service call. WE DIDN'T NEED A SECOND SERVICE CALL! We already knew the problem. We just needed a pump out. They charged us $90 when they'd been here less than 15 mins and didn't render the services we requested. My husband called and spoke with the manager and she offered to take $40 off due to the miscommunication, but still wanted us to pay a $45 dollar service fee, even though THEY WERE CHARGING US FOR THEIR MISTAKE. When I got on the phone with her, she was insistent that my husband had called and requested a service call for the inside fixtures (not a pump out), which is ludicrous, considering none of the inside fixtures were broken and we'd just had the initial service call the week before. She scheduled the wrong thing, but would not admit her mistake. She kept attempting to talk over me and was extremely rude. She tried to excuse the charge by saying that the workers had to come out to check the filter size for the septic tank and give us a price quote. If that was the case, why didn't they tell us that? And why not check the filter size on the initial service call? I'd told them then we would go ahead and do the pump out. They were so rude I ended up canceling all the services and choosing a different company. Allen Plumbing will try to nickle and dime you for THEIR mistakes! CUSTOMERS BEWARE! ****ADDED NOTE* To see evidence of their poor customer service, just click over to Google Reviews and look at the negative response they gave to my review there. Allen Plumbing is about as unprofessional as it gets.*** **ADDITIONAL NOTE***As if responding poorly to a negative customer review on Google wasn't bad enough, when I posted their poor response on Facebook, this is what this company had to say. I quote for future customers verbatim: """"It's pretty sad in a world we live in adults feel they can go on social media and blast someone for honest mistakes. Grow up, act like adults, not kids. If you have a problem with my company stop by and talk to me like a man or woman. Instead of going on social media and crying like a bunch of little kids. Wow! Grow up."""" Really, Allen Plumbing? Who wants to work with someone who 1. Won't admit their mistakes and 2. Attacks their customers publicly?

Plumbers were late and were rude. They seem they did not know what they were doing and lack experience of just fixing a leak in a pipe.

Two men came to install kitchen faucet replacement and took over two hours. I was charged full time. Evidently they were not qualified and I paid for their learning time. Never again.

Martin came earlier than scheduled, and called to see if he could get started early. I was happy to let him get going as I had a busy day ahead. He worked very quickly and was professional throughout. Their prices are affordable and everyone was extremely informative and so friendly. I generally don't trust service people as many take advantage, but I completely trust Allen plumbing. These folks are my new go to plumbers.
