Recommended Customer Reviews

We had an original gravity under-the-floor heater, dating back to the year the house was built (1938). Our homeowners insurance company questioned it viability, and after having PG&E and another heating company look at it (and declare it in dire need of replacement), a realtor recommended we contact All-Ways. SO glad we did! They were able to replace the old heater with a brand-new, much more efficient heater of the same kind. The gave us an excellent price, and the owner's son and another guy did the job beautifully in the span of about five hours. Our insurer is happy, we're happy, and we won't have to worry about this item ever again in our lifetimes. Loved this company and Micah and Luke!

We had our furnace replaced and installed new ac system. We found Ron's crew to be courteous, efficient, and very knowledgeable about the systems and installation. The price was competitive with larger firms. Many of them have long waiting times and wait lists just to get an estimate. Our process with Ron was prompt and well within our expectations.

Ron and his crew installed a new furnace, new ducts and all new duct work in our home. The installed toilets, re-did a kitchen remodel plumbing job, moved a gas line, installed a vent for our dryer and some other small jobs. They arrived on time, did a thorough job, cleaned up after themselves, and were there for inspections. Thanks for all the hard work!

Where do I begin?!
Short Version: If you want to waste your time and money call Ron!
Long Version:
Ron should be taken off all realtors list immediately! We received a recommendation from our realtor and unfortunately hired Ron to complete 4 plumbing jobs: 1-Installing a new on demand hot water heater, 2-installing new sink hardware, 3-installing new shower/tub hardware, 4-installing toilet.
1-on demand hot water heater: the installation was complete and didn't pass inspection. AllWays plumber refused to call inspector and insisted the inspector didn't know what he was talking about it. Another plumber had to come out and fix the hot water and remarked, ""wow, they really screwed this up"". After the second plumber fixed the issue is passed inspection no problem- go figure.
2-sink hardware: hardware was installed into new vanity. The sink leaked immediately and the stopper was never attached. Why the leak? Basic stuff- Pipe threads were never sealed with plumbers tape. Another plumber had to reinstall.
3-installing new shower/tub mixer and hardware. Everything was installed and wall was tiled over. Upon going to use, the hardware moves about a half inch in all directions! What gives? Oh they didn't attach anything to the wall like they were supposed to. In order to fix this issue we have to knock out the newly installed tile and open the wall. This issue still isn't fixed and guess who we won't be hiring to fix it.
4-installing new toilet. Installed, never sealed and leaked immediately. We had to seal it because we couldn't be without a toilet.
None of the 4 jobs were completed correctly! And as if that weren't enough they were never on time and left a mess. Ron said he'd reimburse us...and we're still waiting 4 months later.

Ron and his crew are the best! I'm a Realtor in El Cerrito and have used them repeatedly for my clients, and personally. They've installed on demand, AC, water heaters, EQ shut-off valves, standard furnaces, and troubleshot many problems over the years. They have always been competitive, if not less than other bids. When urgent issues have come up, they have always found a way to squeeze me in. I really trust their integrity and feel confident that when they recommend something, it is the best course.

Our nearly-new furnace was emitting a nasty odor, but only some of the time. Luke and a coworker stopped by today while in the neighborhood to try to identify the source of the problem. Of course, we couldn't replicate the odor while running the furnace when they were here, it figures, but they checked out all of the ducting and didn't find any obvious causes. If we have future HVAC needs, we'll certainly give Ron and his team a call again.

Ron installed a new furnace and seismic gas shut off for us. No complaints. Quick to respond to messages and courteous. Also gave us a quote for installing a gas line to our stove/range so we'll be calling him again. He's the go-to handyman for our realtor. Highly recommended.

We have asked the guys at All-Ways Home Services to do a number of jobs at our home in Berkeley. They are experienced, responsive, helpful, friendly, honest, and do a thorough job finding and fixing any plumbing or heating problem.
In addition to tracking down a gas leak and several plumbing leaks, they installed a new heater, replaced copper pipe for galvanized under the house, and installed a tankless water heater, as well as putting in a water line to the refrigerator and putting in a automatic gas shut-off device on the meter to protect us when an earthquake strikes. I enthusiastically recommend them!

Great team of guys! All Ways Home put in all new copper pipes and a new furnace in my home. They are trustworthy and dependable! I highly recommend these guys!

After hiring Ron for some gas line work, I am lucky to still have a house.
This work was done during the day - I received no notification that anything had been done or that they had even been to the house. Late that night, I smelled gas a couple times. Luckily I went to investigate. The gas line they had worked on was hissing noticeably and the smell of gas was overwhelming. Gas was pouring into the framework of the house and had been all day.
Some real plumbers came out the next day to fix this mess and confirmed this was a half-assed job all the way through, and extremely dangerous. How a plumber could walk away from a hissing gas pipe in a house is beyond imagination.
To add insult to injury, there were bits of pipe tossed around the yard. Avoid these people at all costs.
