I employed their Stuart/Jensen Beach location to replace a kitchen faucet. Good work nice plumber. $367.00 !!!! Wow! I had been a customer of Premier plumbing but they were bought out by that's guys. We had to have work done but I will find a more reasonable plumber in the future.
I contacted Allstar Plumbing on Friday morning, 12/2, because I had water on my kitchen floor. I was told there would be a $67 charge to assess the leak and that fee would be waived if I hired them to correct it (which I did). When the repairman arrived, I informed him that the leak appeared right after I had taken a shower. He checked the dishwasher and under the kitchen sink, but had not yet checked the water heater under the kitchen cabinet right next to the sink, but believed that it was a slab leak. He contacted a restoration company, Entrusted, to come out who quoted me over $3k for water damage restoration/repair; I did not hire them...this sounded like some kind of a scam! Finally, he checked under the cabinet and discovered it was the water heater (which should have been obvious and resulted in additional water damage). I had him replace the water heater. The final bill included a charge of $289.56 for a """"minor leak detection"""" (what detection??? It was right under the cabinet!) The bill totaled $2,714.73 to replace a water heater with a retail value less than $900. I requested a refund for the leak detection charge but was told that it couldn't be refunded because the work was (unnecessarily) performed and was refused. Bottomline: It should have been obvious that the leak was from the water heater because I had just taken a shower and feel that the water heater should have been checked IMMEDIATELY and a """"minor leak detection"""" was completely UNNECESSARY.
company is rip off, charge you a diagnostic fee if you don't let them do the job. Overpriced on all there services, never use this company at all!! Taking advantage to people most specially to elderly that doesn't know anything. SCAMMERS!!
Stay away from this company. They charged $195 to come which most do and then $395 to repair a PVC pipe in my backyard. When the plumber arrived he asked for my credit card to pay before he started the job and there was no guarantee. I was very pressured. Needless to say, the FIX FAILED 2 days later flooding my yard. I hired another company to fix the botched job they did using a street coupling and adapter. I choose A PLUS ROOTER instead and did a stellar job. Very professional. There are plenty of other plumbing companies but you must do your research because I do not believe not even half of the reviews. Overcharged, overpriced, under delivered. Do yourself a favor and hire someone who's not trying to grab a quick dollar.
We had a burst pipe on water heater. It blew up into the attic dry wall fell in. Happened on Sunday 4/3. I shut off valve for water heater so could still have water in the house but no hot water. I called All Star they asked if wanted emergency service. Told them would wait till tomorrow where they had an appointment between 1-3pm. Told them ok but needed it fixed then. Was told no problem. The representative came during slotted time. Took numerous phone calls while was trying to show what was needed. He told me would be $389 which I though high but told him to go ahead and fix. At that point was told that he would schedule someone to come out but not sure when that would be or how long or even what day. I told him forget it would find someone else. He then told me had to pay $67 for the estimate. Paid him. I then cut off the piece of pipe and went to Home Depot. Bought a 3/4"""" shark bite fitting and a 3/4 M/F braided hose. Fixed for $29. Will NEVER use All Star Plumbin.
I WOULD GIVE NO STARS IF I COULD. THIS COMPANY IS TERRIBLE!!!!! This company came out because a remediation company used them. A worker Oreste, who is no longer with the company now, came out to remove my toilet. The remediation company told me that the plumber would be able to detect where my flood had originated from, which the plumber could not do. I was instructed to change out my box behind my washer because it had a partial break in the turn off valve, but still functioned fine. However, because I was told that no one would reinstall the washer because of this valve if I don't replace the box, I went ahead and did it. They cut a hole beneath the box in my wall, which I was told would not be repaired by the plumber, which I was fine with. After the plumber installed the box, I was told that once the rebuild was done in the drywall, the faceplate of the box would snap right in. He had cut a SQUARE hole out to put the ROUND tubing from the washing machine into the box. I also had a sleeve replaced in my upstairs shower, because it had gotten hard to turn the shower on and off. I was left with my shower hot water on the right and cold on the left and NO HOT water at all. He stood in my shower with cowboy boots on while the water was running and trailed water all over my laminate floors advising me that he did not know why I had no hot water anymore. He had walked on the wax ring from where he had removed the toilet and trailed it all over my dining room floor. I called Ryan the supervisor and complained. He came out the following week and had to redo the sleeve in the shower, clean up my floors from the wax ring mess and told me that the box cover would snap in once I got new drywall beneath it. I believed him, but that was a total lie! I just finally got the rebuild done on my bathroom and new drywall replaced beneath the washer box, the faceplate does not snap in, does not fit right, will not even stay on the wall. I called All Star Plumbing again and had Rick come out and he right away said, """"Oh Oreste doesn't work for us any longer because of work like this"""". He said that the drywall would have to be cut back out again and a new box needs to be installed, as this one is not the right one, I said I should not have to pay for that and he said, no you won't have to. He took pictures to send to the Owner Roy Bush and then called him. Once he spoke with the owner, he came back in and told me that the owner was not willing to fix the issue. He said that the owner told him to put caulking around the faceplate and secure it with screws because it would not snap on. I told him this is not acceptable, I paid $339 for this and it is not correctly done. He then called the owner again and told him I wanted to speak with him. The owner said he would call me the following Monday, as it was Friday and he was going away for the weekend. The owner never called. I have sent him emails and left messages and he won't respond in any way. This company is UNPROFESSIONAL, they send people out to your home who don't know what they are doing and take your money for work that is not correct. DON""""T USE THEM, YOU WILL BE SORRY IF YOU DO!!!
Ralph Y L.As you can see from the photos they are to be avoided. I now have an expensive door stop Under no way use this firm they are both incompetent and they will not tell the truth As you can see from the photos they are to be avoided. I now have an expensive door stop
The worst customer service experience that I have ever had! This company seriously overcharges and does not correct errors. Quick to come out on weekends but the work is not worth it.
Laura K.So so grateful for this company! My hot water heater burst and within two hours, Cody was at my house, fixing the problem. Replacement was done fast and professional. Thank you so much.
Do not hire this company for serious plumbing work. They may be fine for snaking out a drain or fixing a leak under a bathroom sink, but when I hired these clowns to replace a collapsed cast iron sewage pipe, I made a HUGE mistake. They misrepresented the total cost on their estimate and tried to leave me holding the bill for work they had said would be included in the finished price. I pointed to the words of their estimate which, while somewhat ambiguous, were clear enough that they backed down when I threatened court action. PLUS, their crew worked like pigs. ia real wreck of my back yard and patio. And they did a half-assed job that has caused repeated backups and calls to (different!) plumbers to manage a problem that will eventually require redoing the job entirely -- and cost more to undo what All Star screwed up. Everyone who's looked at it has said the job was done wrong and unprofessionally. Absolute clowns. Call Southern instead!
