Bert and All Rooter saved our arses. A pipe burst in our master bathroom during the Polar Vortex when the same thing was happening all over the city. Pretty much every plumber in Chicago was working around the clock. We must have called 20 plumbers before reaching Bert. The majority of them said the soonest they could get to us would be 24-48 hours. Bert got to us in 20 minutes. He and his partner spent from 8pm to 12am (on a Friday no less) at our place. Locating the ruptured pipe required him to cut into both tile and drywall. In each case he was very careful to minimize the damage to limit the follow up repair work. Considering it was an after hours call (at a time when we were desperate) I feel like the charge for his services was very reasonable. Incidentally, his phone was ringing off the hook almost the whole time he was at our place. We were very lucky to have gotten through to him when we did.

Then, in the days that followed, another unit in our building was experiencing water pressure issues related to the main shut off being turned on and off during the repairs to our ruptured pipe. He came back and fixed the problem free of charge.

If we ever have another plumbing issue, we will definitely be calling Bert.

All Rooter is definitely our new plumber! We thought we had a cracked pipe after the polar vortex freeze. All Rooter was able to get us an appointment within a couple of days. It turned out that pipe wasn't cracked and the plumber was able to help us figure out why we had a minor flood. It turned out that no plumbing work was necessary and they charged us accordingly. We definitely will call them again if we need plumbing work in the future.

Bert came back today, about a year after the episode described above, to do a check-up and (if necessary) further rodding of the sewer line that had caused such serious problems for me and our entire small condo association. Let me just say that Bert is one of the most impressive building trade professionals and business owners I have known in my long life. If you ever have trouble with your sewer line (bathroom or kitchen), call him immediately and keep your fingers and toes crossed that he isn't already fully booked! I love you, Bert, and wish you the very best! I only wish I could take you with me to my new home three state lines away from Chicago (where I'll be moving soon), in case my sewer fails there!!!

Bert was great - I messaged on Yelp and received a response quickly. They offered a free estimate, and were available when I requested (I didn't have an emergency). Bert arrived well within the timeframe quoted, calling ahead of time as stated. I had a mysteriously backed up toilet, and Bert was able to fix very quickly after providing a free quote. I very much appreciated that Bert was not pushy at all when providing his quote and was more than happy to let me get additional quotes if I wanted. Thank you!!

All Rooter and Plumbing came to unclog my kitchen sink. They were easy to get a hold of a schedule a few days out.

For the service appointment, they were on time and called ahead of time to let me know of their arrival. Bert and crew were professional, knowledgeable, and prompt. He answered my questions, warned by about other potential issues, and advised on yearly maintenance for the building. I would contact them again for both small and large plumbing issues.

I was very impressed with my technician Bert. He was very patient and diligent in finding the root (quite literally lots of roots) of our sewer problem. He ended up staying several hours beyond our appointment due to the problems he discovered. It gave me great piece of mind to have the work completed despite him working until 7pm on a Friday even though he arrived in the morning, as we were having major backup problems. I have used other sewer companies in the past, but I won't use any other than All Rooter & Plumbing. Bert used the biggest possible blade to rod our main line and took out lots of roots despite the fact that another company ""cleaned"" out the main line in mid May. If you want your work done right the first time, do yourself a favor and use All Rooter! Thanks again Bert!

Had All Rooter come out to my house for a clogged kitchen drain. Bert was very professional and on time. He even reminded me about a coupon that was on Yelp for $50.00 off. He unclogged the drain and gave us a warranty. I would use them again if I have another plumbing problem.

I called this company after suspecting that my sewage drain was being overrun by roots.

Bert is honest and spends the time explaining the issue and did not rush me through my questions. I especially liked how he kept me in the know by sending me pictures of my sewage drain as he was snaking his camera around.

Bert was excellent. What was originally thought to be a sewer problem ended up being the blocked kitchen line. By using the camera first, which showed the sewer was completely clear, Bert and his crew went through the catch basin and hydo-jetted the kitchen line. They then pumped out the catch basin of more than 50 years worth of silt, trash and other materials.

Hopefully the basement won't flood again.
