I genuinely hate leaving bad reviews, but I've been as patient as I know how to be with All Purpose Sewer & Drain, and now I'm sharing my unfortunate experience in the hope that I can spare someone else the trouble.

12/7 A drain in my basement backed up after I did laundry. Texted my plumber, and he doesn't unclog drains, so he gave me the number for Daniel at All Purpose.

12/8 Called Daniel, who came out that day. He was friendly and polite, spent around 40 minutes in my basement, and I paid $138.00 for the service of unclogging the drain. Seemed reasonable to me.

12/10 Did a small load of laundry and the same thing happened. Texted Daniel. No response. He'd mentioned how swamped he was, so I figured he was simply busy and would get back to me when he could.

12/14 Having waited through the weekend plus a couple of grace days, I called Daniel and left a message. No response.

12/17 Called again. Daniel answered, said he was swamped and couldn't get to me until the following Monday or Tuesday, but he was on the highway and said he'd let me know when he could look at his schedule. He didn't call back.

12/21 The holidays are fast approaching, and I'm now hand-washing my clothes. Called Daniel again and left yet another message. No response.

12/22 It's now been two weeks of waiting, so I gave up and called another company. They came out that day and fixed my problem--a pipe that was almost completely blocked by tree roots (there are photos and video of this). They said it was fortunate that I didn't end up with a flooded basement, and they couldn't understand why All Purpose wouldn't have come at the problem from outside.

12/22 Called Daniel yet again and told him I wanted a refund. He seemed exasperated and told me I was calling his private cell number. (How would I have known that? It's the number my plumber gave me. Why not say something before? And seriously? *He's* annoyed with *me*?! Sheesh...) I got annoyed right back. Then he told me he'll refund my money and to never call him again.

1/5 As of today, I still haven't gotten my money back.

Needless to say, I strongly advise against using this company. I think they're probably okay as long as nothing goes wrong ... or they're not too busy or whatever. But in my case, they didn't stand behind their work, didn't call me back after they took my money, and now won't give me the refund I was promised.

After battling with the condo association where I live about my issue (sewage smell from floor drain), they called All Purpose who came out, found the problem, and fixed it same day. They were polite and knowledgeable- and my floor drain problem is fixed. Definitely recommend them over the other companies who came out and initially denied I had any problems.

Great, honest, hard workers. I highly recommend. We had a sewage backup in the basement and were expecting the worst. They came out the same day and worked very hard to cable and clear that pipe. He could have easily told us anything and charged whatever he wanted to fix ''xy&z."" We wouldn't have known. But he didn't! I couldn't believe my ears when he told me the small total. Incredibly reasonable. They helped us once before a few years ago at our condo and were fabulous then, too. We will never use another plumber. They are the best!!

I have used Roger Bates for nearly 12 years. Here is a list of all that he has been contracted for; replaced a hot water heater, fixed plumbing mistakes made by someone in my home (sweated an iron cap on a copper pipe!), replaced outdoor faucets, cleaned drains, stacks, toilets and flanges, old turn style shower faucets, garbage disposal replacement. The man is the most patient and thoughtful serviceman I have ever contracted. Now that I have bought a new house, I almost regret the new plumbing because unless there is a problem, I may not see him again. He and his Marine son have always talked to and engaged my 4 children. They are the epitome of professional. You would be foolish not to contract them for any and all plumbing service.

August 13th 2016 had a broken loud disposal in my kitchen and needed a replacement. Found out after calling APSAD that there were many disposals. Speaking with Roger I had learned that the Sinkerator Compact was quiet and long lasting and as I were concerned about the price of marked up materials I researched my options and Roger only was a 15 percent charge of manufacturer price. Daniel fixed my disposal and had spoken to me about a leaky faucet outside and while another plumbing company wanted hundreds to fix it I had learned it was only a worn GASKET. Thank You All Purpose Sewer and Drain you will always have my reference and support.!!!!

I used this company that a friend recommended that I try. I had my main basement drain back up on a Friday evening. I called Mr. Bates on a Friday evening around 6pm. They were at my house and had my main basement drain cleaned out within an hour. They were extremely polite and charged me about a quarter of what I was expecting to pay. I would highly recommend this company

Everything the fixed in my home was done wrong!!!! Cost me more to fix their mistakes ! Stay away!!!! They don't know what they are doing at all!!!! They fixedthe tub wrong, fixed main water line coming in wrong all the pipes in the home vibrated and made loud noises after their repairs! Cost me over $1000 to fix what they messed up! I would use Bob the a builder before I would ever ever ever let them in my home again! Seriously find another plumber before calling them!
