I was looking for a plumber to help me out with a leaky water heater. I called All Hours Plumbing on a Saturday and they quoted me $80 for them even to see me. I said it wasn't a rush so I was happy to make an appointment for the upcoming week. They insisted and said they would add the charge to our total cost and would have someone over right away. I stupidly thought they meant if I accepted their services. When the plumber came he walked right in as soon as I opened the door, he didn't even wait until I invited him into my home. He looked at my problem and said I needed a completely new water heater and quoted me an exorbitant price. I thanked him and told him I was still shopping around. And he was like okay, we'll that'll be $80. I was upset because I told them I didn't need them in the weekend. I had to pay him to get him out of my house. Then I had to deal with their customer service to negotiate something. They were gracious and gave me half back because they agreed it was a misunderstanding. However it took weeks to get the partial refund because their accounting department didn't get the memo and every time I called in about my partial refund it was like pulling teeth. Anyway, moral of the story, don't contact them on the weekends. Also, confirm and clarify before agreeing to anything.
Dustin S.PREDATORY COMPANY BEWARE!!! Devon showed up 2 hrs late. After showing him the water heater he opted to try and screw me by paying $2300 for a water heater that only needed a new Thermopile simply because he wasn't getting a code and was too lazy to check the voltage. Not knowing at the time what the true diagnosis was, I had to get with my insurance first, which only took 5 minutes to determine they wouldn't pay for it and he decided to try and charge my $250 for labor in addition to the outrageous $89 to come stare at my water heater. On top of that he forged my signature on the invoice. I had everything on record, and All hours had no choice but to remove the charges. Do not recommend
Christian was my guy - showed up in disposable booties, mask, and ready to fix! He explained the problem, options, and what was needed, and charged me fairly. It's interesting that I had a plumber give me an estimate just two days ago after seeing the job, and quoted me $865 for the same work that Christian did for $87. Thank you for being honest, clean, professional, and kind. I'll definitely be calling All Hours for all of my plumbing dilemmas.
The tech quoted me a price that was more than 200.00 more than another plumber. Also even after the quote he was not sure what the problem was!
Tech was not competent.
Called and spoke to Jim to get an estimate. When he came by I noticed he didn't have a mask on so I kindly asked him if he could put one on before coming inside. You can tell he was visibly upset when I asked him this but said he would go grab one but then changed his mind all of a sudden and decided he would just leave instead.
This company obviously doesn't value your health and safety. There are plenty of other companies out there that do.
The other guy that said they scam you on price isn't lying!!! They should be ashamed of what they bid on estimates. I had one good experience with All Hours so I called them to install my faucet and garbage disposal. He tried to tell me it was $485 just for the garbage disposal install (which we already had). The whole quote was $1800. I don't know if he thought I was just stupid, but I called others and they were astonished at my original quote. I ended up having it completed the same day by someone else for $375. Honestly I thought their customer service was so good, but it is not worth the extreme prices. They are obviously just hoping people are so desperate they want it done.
Joe D.Do not hire these guys. Did not finish the job that was paid for. Didn't care that it didn't work after they were done. Also left the job not in code. Basically it was we'll charge you more to fix the problem. No guarantee and no follow up.
Krista M.I had used this company roughly 1 year ago to clean out the main drain in my home. I had also decided at the time to purchase a warranty. I now have another clog in my sink. I thought that these guys would be reasonable due to being a prior customer. They wanted 278.00 to snake a drain approx. 30 feet. This is a ridiculous price. I said no thank you. Steer clear of this company unless you like paying more than is reasonable.
Onslow P.Lol, what a joke of a company. Now they're trying to save face by asking if any of the work they offered was on par with other bids. Ha, no! The main work that needed to be performed was a changing of the valve behind the wall in the shower. They bid $1375.21 for it. The company that came out on Monday did it for $298.12. And that total included his diagnosis, testing out other cartridges he had in stock on his truck and the full repair.
Furthermore, he inspected all our lines in the home and the water pressure in the rest of the home and told us it would be a waste of money to redo all the piping in the home right now since everything else works perfectly fine.
First off, the good.....they showed up really quick and the plumber was extremely polite and professional. Now the story.....I broke off a faucet cartridge and they came out and finished removing it and installed the one I had but said it was leaking worse now because the valve had been damaged during me trying to remove it. They said they needed to replace the valve and to do that they needed to take out some of the tile on tub to gain access to the valve. How much? $1,235.00. I said NO.
Went to Old School Plumbing and their seasoned plumber came out and removed a piece of plastic or rubber stuck in the valve and put a new cartridge in.....works great. Price? $189.00. So either All Hours plumber (who said he had 20 experience and had seen this kind of problem many times) was incompetent or he was trying to rip me off.
Beware of most plumbers because they want to charge exorbitant rates.
